He was quite simply a one off. Never to be repeated, those of us who saw him live can only treasure the moment, but there is no one simply no one to compare. Just heard Kauffman do this in Naples, good yes, but this is just uncomparable. Like I said he was a one off!

You're entitled to your opinion and feelings, but many would disagree. Jussi Björling, for one, is superior in this, in my opinion. And as a tenor myself, I love Luciano. Luciano does sing an incomparable "Ah, fuyez, douce image" in his younger years. It can be heard on RUclips as well. Cheers!
