@@jamesalexander5623 So an 8 year vision of Peter Pan with 20 year old version of Wendy who they don't actually need because the idea of Wendy in the story is the the lost boys never had a female role model or mother figure to read to them and fix their socks..... in this version there's lost girls, totally making Wendy not valid, unless they changed the story to add in lost "girl" boys and its interesting how they race swap all the nice people in the story but the bad guy is still white...... the message is clear... while males BAD!!!. That some disney magical racism right there lol

Urgh Disneys writers and directors don't have the talent to create their own worlds, so when wanting to fill their woke quota they bastardise classics. Can't wait to see how they mangle this beautiful story with jarring casting like this.
Yo Disney is really getting on my last nerves with these horrible Castings they are not listening to fans at all and just changing original characters and making there own new ones some of us grew up watching these classics and its offensive when you change the ethnicity to the original characters if you feel the need to change ethnicity than just create new movies for the right ethnicity
Funnily enough, the source material Peter Pan doesn’t really describe peters ethnicity, it more so focuses on his youth and immaturity but sure, pop off

Hi, sorry... I couldn't take this movie seriously. It felt like the story was rushed and that they really tried to hit all the boxes, it was very much in your face. Not mad about black TinkerBell, or lost girls, or Wendy fighting. I'm mad that they didn't write it well. Like you can tell. I LOVE Peter Pan, one of my favorite stories. I'm very disappointed in this movie. Disney, do better.

The original was a cartoon lol who cares
1. Even if the story of Pocahontas was largely changed in the animated film, the character was based on a real historic character, while Peter Pan is not.
2. Even treating it as a fiction, there's not a lot of Disney Native American stories, so Pocahontas has to be casted as their original ethnicity, or at least that's how Disney sees it, for inclusivity.
3. Disney wants to appeal to audiences of all ethnicities and they know "the classics" don't represent all ethnicities as they were created during a time only white people mattered in the US and therefore only white characters were allowed to be relevant on film, so they are casting people from different ethnicities in SOME roles.
I mean in the original novel peter pans ethnicity is never spoken of. I’m not a massive fan of the casting because I just don’t feel like the actor has a lot of charisma.
