I saw it in person when we were looking for a home. It only photographs well. There are literally cracks in the baseboards and ceiling details. The proportions are off. It was on the market for a long time.
@@atribecalledowensmostly because of who the builder is, but the lottery houses don't have s good reputation of lasting more then a couple years. And the builder doesn't have a good reputation.

There's a few of those here in Moncton too, more than I thought actually...that would be crazy expensive in Toronto (not that $1M isn't here). That's a lot of house!

I lived uptown years ago in a boarding house my room was large very large actually it had a sink in it and a fire place That was very convenient since the mantle held all my books and the sink allowed me to be able to brush my teeth in comfort as the one bathroom was shared by four rooms so ...😅
I like the one over by Rothesay Elementary more than this one, but that is my old neighborhood. What most Maritimer’s will say about this place, “ It’s got no yard? Why pay all that money for no yard!” And in Oakville, “What a great backyard!”….😂

the housing market is insaine right now in NB, we are currently being forced to look for a new place to live (the dreaded ontario landlord 'renoviction')
Looking at some nice places with enough space and features to make it worth our time to upgrade to a house vs another apartment.
But the market is skewed heavily in the sellers favor for some of these homes. The one home we were looking at is only Assesed at $98,000
was asking $249,000 There are similar stories all over the place.
Dont get me started on the nightmare it its to try and get a damn mortgage if you're older than 65 or have never had a reason to own a credit card in your life...
You don't exist to the banks if you never have had a line of credit.
Ya it can be difficult accessing credit if you don't fix into all the bank's little boxes in terms of what the look for. We had similar problems!

It's such a crazy world, In BC the property tax on a property assessed at that value would be about 2700 a year, in the lower mainland, but that would be a townhome or real crappy shack of a house. Outside of the lower mainland about 2500 a year with homeowners grant.
