  • ASRY 3215 (ex NS 3215) drops most of their train south of the diamond at Plymouth Ohio to shove 2 loaded scrap gondolas onto the W&LE and pull a handful of covered hoppers before heading on to Willard. The factory built Plymouth Locomotives between 1910 and 1999.

Always love seeing older EMD power still hard at work. Especially SD40-2's.

Love the video. I know you moved but if you ever get a chance to shoot the ND&W again I would love to see it. You made the best videos of that line.

Where was the abandoned locomotive works? Perhaps pop-up text identifying highlights would be helpful for those of us who don’t live in the region? Drones have made railfanning so much more interesting! The range of fall colours in the trees was amazing!

Super special thank you for the aerial photos of the Plymouth locomotive works. I was fortunate enough to get a tour there in 1977 and it was like a small specialty Tool Company working on both locomotives and Clay extruding machinery. Sad to say it looks like the buildings will probably never be occupied again but hopefully someone can save the depot. They used to have that multi-gauge test track outside the shop and several thousand " Little Critters" made their first moves there. Oh yes the Ashland Railway train was great also with their interesting consists

Funny. The color scheme, which I like, of 2022 looks better from the air than ground level. Old town. Abandoned tracks to the left. Old small-town America slowly decaying into oblivion. Fortunately, these small railroads keep the best sounding engines alive and working. Those are three very sharp engines. In my day, I rode the lead engine on many Geeps [brakeman]. Then there was also the percolator sounds of high head Alco's. lol. The Rock! Chicago & Northwestern. Nice consist of out of the past. Looks like the depot served two railroads. You can see the tracks on the left of the building.

Ohio is depressing! I left in the 1980s.
    Great videos.

I'm from there. It's not depressing at all. You just have to know where to go and who to go with. I enjoyed my life there (1980 to 2006.) I have since moved many places...but none quite like home.
