Bob, I have to say her incredible smile and goofy fun attitude is really outstanding. She is certainly beautiful but that smile says it all. I suppose lightening can strike twice. You are livin a charmed life my friend.
I just picked up this channel by chance. I’ve come back to these earlier videos to see key events. Laura is unquestionably a “key event!” She has subtly change Bobby, her personality is infectious, and she is obviously very beautiful. I’m very happy to see that they have a very real relationship,
Your new format is coming on nicely - great Bobby and Laura
Awwwwwww at the end of the video the Boy's are back. Family is back together now. Now the real journey can begin. Welcome back Boy's!!
This young lady knows how to present and interact with your segment WOW.
Bobby and Laura...I am so happy that the two of you have met and sharing the love of each other and life with us.
I have a feeling this adventure is going to be a marvelous trip complete with smiles and a sense of extreme accomplishment !
(Kind of like SML and her intricate planning and adherence to showing viewers only what she feels is conducive to more patronage and more money).
TALK ABOUT A REAL SAILING CHANNEL VERSUS A SCRIPTED TALE OF BASE ECONOMY BOAT LIVING)!
Enjoy every moment and THANKS FOR SHARING ‼️
RICK
Great video, and really like Laura's narrations! The Doodles look in great shape!
Bobby you and Laura taking turns on the voice overs is a plus for the video's..
Great video. I really like the way your and Laura take turns with the narration. Nicely done.
Laura is always running, plenty of energy that girl👍
Great episode! Great mix of footage both on and off of the boat. Laura is a wonderful addition to your journey!
There Is No Quit in The Sailing Doodles. Respect!
Great shot of the golden gate and the whales. in fact just a great video. Thanks
I like the way she looks at you. I like her narration too. The internet is so full of haters...Nothing but love here. Peace!
Spent a year in Monterey back in '88 - '89 and had a blast. The Aquarium rocked even back then. The fog that rolls in from the ocean and over the top of the peninsula is so cool!
Nice work B & L !
Fair Winds and following Seas....
Bravo Zulu!
Awesome video! So many good memories of Frisco! All kinds of great sights, but the best was the return of the pups!!!
Frisco is a town in Texas. San Francisco, also known as "The City".
Fantastic video Bobby & Laura!! Keep up the good work and stay safe out there!! Looking forward to meeting up soon!!
i like how laura adds to your narrations...
Nice job guys...Hey Laura, keep cutting Bob's hair! lol So great to see the doodle boys again!
Beautiful clear image. Thanks for posting.
Loved the video. I sailed from San Francisco to Channel Islands in September of this year. It was fun and beautiful but I’m happy to be in Mexico now with 80 degree weather and warm water. I’ll have a video on the the channel I recently started soon on my trip from San Francisco to the Channel Islands ending up in San Diego
Laura is the best thing to happen to the channel.
Loving your videos. I'd seen a few here and there for the last couple years while watching James on the SV Zingaro. Now that I'm stuck at home due to COVID, I've been binge watching from the beginning.
As an avid SCUBA diver who learned in the Monterey area, it kills me seeing you in my home waters and NOT diving. I've been fortunate enough to dive all over the world, and still find the Channel Islands near the top of my list. Sure the water is cold, but the abundance of marine life more than makes up for it.
thanks for sharing the Aquarium. brought back memories when the kiddies were small.
Good job guys. Stay warm.
Ok so another unmissable video. I am so addicted to the doodles. ROD UK
Ah....Cribbage ~ My game of choice! Taught by my Dad long ago. Taught wife, daughter and son. Have many types of boards. S.F. and Monterey Aquarium, been there ~ done that. Excellent! Safe travels and journey to you both, and anyone else along for the ride.
Edward Page my dad gave me two carved walrus tusk cribbage boards. I know very few people I can play cribbage with.
Greetings Noel!
Thanks for the reply. Bet those are beautiful carved boards. I have often said, " of the things my Dad taught me being introduced to Cribbage has given me great joy". Wife and I try to have a game or two before Saturday night supper. I believe it is your deal! ;-) Best!
it is great to see you back sailing on the water again, all the best from the UK 🇬🇧
You did a good job of highlighting the aquarium. Well done! The shot of the jelly fish with the long stingers trailing behind made me wonder why they don't cause harm to other jelly fish. I was swimming offshore in the Pacific south of Puerto Escondido when the trailing stinging streamers of a jelly fish came in contact with my right forearm. It not only paralyzed that arm but affected my upper body. If I hadn't had swim fins on I would have drowned. I am glad there weren't more nearby because I would have been a dead man. I forgot to mention, the stinging pain was 10+ on the Richter scale. Take care when you are swimming of the coast of Mexico.
You outdid yourself on this one Bobby! Perfect flow
Great episode-I am from the Bay Area which I love -good interaction with Laura commenting on the sites-nice calm seas in winter time-summers are wild for sailing!
Love the puppy meeting!
So sorry to have missed you in my family hometown since 1847! It is so awesome here I still can't believe I live here even though I have rarely lived anywhere else! So glad to see you had a terrific time. Calm seas and gentle winds! Oh and those are Porpoises.
Go not Guer awesome Captain Ron reference! Best movie ever
You managed to hit Santa Cruz Island during the best weather window of the year. We happened to be on the backside earlier that week and had the best weather we've ever had. I'm guessing the Conception rounding was epic, given there was zero swell.
Josh Massie I hope so
Love this video. Thanks for the inspiration and the things you taught me. I truly enjoyed my time with you guys. Hope to see you again soon.
Also I saw you used one of my clips. I feel honored thank you.
A couple safety comments you might consider next time: 1) To set up your wing-on-wing, it looks like you gybed the boat (bringing the mainsail/boom across the boat, versus backwinding the jib and letting it cross the boat). And when you gybed the mainsail, you went forward and pulled the boom across using the preventer..? Did I see that right? Yikes, be careful! 2) Sending Laura up the mast, she only had one halyard. I'd recommend a secondary halyard or some kind of just-in-case line. Good video though. Safe travels!
Pelican Anchorage...one of my favorite places to drop a hook. So many cool anchorages on Santa Cruz Island...bummer you didn't get a chance to see them.
We love that aquarium! Every time we go to Monterrey we end up there. Don't know if you have been to Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta but it is awesome. We went there on our trip around the country. To put it into perspective. The big tank at Monterrey Aquarium is about 1 million gallons. The big tank in Georgia Aquarium is 6.3 million gallons and has whale sharks. Pretty cool!
Videos just keep getting better and better! What a cool way to spend Thanksgiving! Looking forward to seeing the pups! I hope Mount Agung in Bali is settled down by the time you guys get there. It sure has been active and the ash cloud is enormous. It has quieted down the past 2 days, but they are expecting the major eruption soon.
Enjoy a wonderful time.
Oh man, you guys went right by us here in Santa Cruz! Wish I'd have known - would have sailed out to greet you!
Nice... Especially the Cornish Game Hens. What my gal and I have decided to do next year.
😊👍👊⛵️⚓️🚲👙🍷🍻
I think those were plain ole chickens. A bit large for Cornish hens.
Great video guys, also great to see the Doodles!!
Great to see the dogs arrive back
Great Video! Thank you for sharing!
Hey Guys is you haven't, Check out a 360 cam, you get a 360 panoramic all the time, then pick your shot in post, Some of the places you go, this would be so perfect to find te perfect shot all the time - not having to search as much.
especially if he ran it up the mast
Great vid guys .
Great video guys!
Free rides .... okay! Thanks for sharing 😎
love it.... great job guys
Great video!
Keep it up!!!
Hey guys! We are in santa barbara! Please stop by and say hi! A soon to be cruising family. 😁🤙⛵
This channel just got 1000% Better.... Chris
Great vlog guys
Many fanx
:-D
Bob - just a thought - you currently have a fixed prop and you are going to sailing half way around the world - thoroughly recommend a folding prop - the difference they make to your sailing SOA (speed of advance) is really surprising - we have installed ours now for about 6 months (Flexofold from Denmark) - noticeably smoother through the water - with the distance your sailing it would more than pay for itself - I know its an investment - but a really decent one. who knows you may get a deal of a distributor to pay for one with your promotion
Thanks, nice video.
I think this is the FIRST video where I saw Bobby actually sail the boat.
The jellyfish shots could be screensavers.
Micro Turkeys....lmao
Yay the Doodles are back
I just noticed something as I re-watched this.At 4:04, those are whales eating a sea lion.Sea lions and seals don't blow air. Those were most likely Orcas having dinner. They tend to play with their food.
Awe man you skip right passed the meet and greet in Santa Barbara. Boo! Lol
Two years behind, trying to catchup!
E-bikes got a lot of concentrated development in SF on accounta them thar hills.
Doodles....Yay!!!!!!!
Micro Trurkeys are rare. Just like any tasty animal.... before you cook em!!!!
Go to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach Calif and compare it to Monterey
Hit up the Atlanta Aquarium if you ever get the chance.
Beanbags up the mast and smelly shoes off the stern...what's next?! Nice to hear Laura on the video. Maybe consider giving her a time slot to philosophize?! PEACE OUT! Ü
great video
great video.but it keeps freezing up. safe sailing guys
Happy Thanksgiving, belated.....
You might be near the wild parrots around Coit Tower.
It's been 10 years since I was at pier 39, are the smelly loud sea lions gone? They drew a lot of attention and where fun to watch.
Where are the dogs, when are you getting them on board again. Love the Chanel and love watching you adventures.
Did you watch until the end? Check out 18:50.
It's happening!!!
I miss Laura. I really like Taylor too
Bobby, Laura totally kept reaching to hold your hand! JUST DO IT ALREADY!!!!!!
Where the hell did you see that?? They're not a couple.
Yeah, that's super important to Women for some reason? I could never figure that out when I was young...now it's too late.
It’s a good thing that Bobby is pretty “Handy” 😜
Amen!
Great to see you are back on a Boat. Glad the Boys are back. Get to some warmer water because we are missing Bikinis and something else that starts with the letter B....
Rob, you look pretty goofy pushing that bike around with the kickstand DOWN.
I do hope you have a copy of Captain Ron on board.
Is there a video quality issue, or is it just me and my connection, or....? Nice overall as usual. You are never one to disappoint.
+Alias Jim Wirth it was uploaded in 1080p. Was a 1.3gb upload... so not sure
Okay. Thanks so much for responding. Probably me then.
Hey. I am watching this again, on Dec 5, and the video is fine. So it was me or my connection I guess. Still enjoy watching your videos; even those I have seen before.
Monterey Aquarium is where the filmed part of Star Trek the voyage home.
+Russ Timberman wow don't know that but it makes sense... that on aquarium is huge!
Micro turkey/ sea gull ?? 😉
Too Soon Too Soon! LOL I'm watching in 360p. Will have to come back later.
The same thing happened to me on the last video... Closed RUclips, opened it back up, and 1080p was available. Not sure what the problem was, but it worked itself out.
Great job you two ...S/V Teak Key
Nice mix on the voice overs and Laura is doing quite good on them. Need an ND filter for the drone. I've seen standard Phantom 4's for under $900 now. Maybe someone will donate an Inspire, that would be nice.
Oh no the puppies were freight.
called wing on wing
Or....'Goose Wing'..
you're right when we sailed it was always called wing on wing
"Unfurl the genova"...lol
Sea animals or mammals ? upon entering the Monterrey bay !!!
Hey Bob, less of the “HER”, the beauty has a name 😉
The genova?? I heard that...
What fuel usage do you get motoring? How many gals per hour does it use, and how many gals are on board?
Wing on wing with a preventer.....good safety measure
Ah, the Doodles have arrived... 'tis the season for pee, poop, hair, and dog smell all over the boat. (chuckle)
