I had been working at our movie theaters as a Projectionist and let me tell you, when this movie came out it was a memory i will never forget. Being raised from our 80's cartoons and actually seeing them on the silver screen. I got my brothers and his friends in for free and I sat in the movies on my break and when this part came on both me and my brother got tear eyed. Nothing will beat the 1st Transformers Film.

    I'm going to be honest and truthful, Despite the problems in the Michael Bay Transformers films, they definitely have potential and a bunch of personalities. The first three Transformers films introduced me to an Optimus Prime design that I absolutely loved forever and had that potential! By the end of the day, the Michael Bay Transformers films will always be cinematic masterpieces!
    Till all are one!

  • @karcsi-sp
    @karcsi-sp Год назад +2

    It's no secret that the Transformers movies are far from masterpieces, but u have to understand just how goofy of a concept it really is and how difficult it is to make this into something that can be taken seriously, and with that said Michael Bay definitely did a good job with taking this strange IP about a bunch of cars that turn into giant robots and made it something the world could both enjoy and take seriously. This was completely unprecedented territory at thar point, the next closest thing to it was Iron Man which didn't come out til a year later. No one could've known exactly how to approach a film like this, and Michael Bay just gave it his best shot, what resulted from that was 3 flawed but massively iconic and enjoyable movies that have shaped so many people's childhoods. Yeah the designs were weird but again, at this point no one was really sure how to translate the Transformers to the big screen, this was the first attempt at making such a concept work in live action. It's clear that Michael Bay's priority as a director is entertainment value, which is why his films are always full of explosions, big fights and good looking women. For everything they got wrong, which seems to be what everyone likes to focus on, these films also got a lot right and considering there was no previous examples to follow of how to adapt something like this to the big screen, it must've been really difficult for them to actually make this work and considering all that they did a good job. These films hold a special place in millions of people's hearts, they've also been some of the most influential films of all time, permanently leaving a mark on the Transformers franchise, Sci-Fi as a genre and cinema as a whole and even the general design of cars, these films are credited as being one of the biggest influences on modern car design, after the success of these movies all the biggest car manufacturers started deliberately designing their cars to look like Transformers.

    Me and 8 of my bros saw this opening night. Lines for all 6 night showings…I’ve never seen inside a movie theatre have that much people and traffic jams of people trying to get to their right theatre number. Complete sell outs that there weee ushers checking peoples tickets to avoid theatre jumpers and overcrowding.
    The music to this scene was so perfect because it projects “the good guys and hope is fixing to land”.
    When Optimus Prime transformed for the first time, I’ve never seen half a full theatre become unglued!!! Dudes high fiving each other, people standing up and running up and down the aisle….it was pure awesomeness and done perfectly to the true Transformers fans AND to people who kind of knew transformers and….people who didn’t know anything about the series became fans instantly!
