Jerome I'm so glad you are trying to be as detailed with your swing as much as possible because I have the same questions as well. I too think the takeaway and back swing are super important, but finding the correct blend of the wrist angles is so difficult. This coach is amazing, I'm so glad he has the patience with you lol
Malaysian Golfer Michelle Low has a RUclips video that explains that wrist set and hinging the best from all videos I've watched. The hinging with the trail hand so logo is facing to ball line & the lead hand does the wrist set upwards. Doing both for me works much better than just doing a wrist set.
I'm glad you pointed out the "rolling motion" you were feeling. It seemed to me I was seeing that as well and was wondering if it was going to be addressed.
Would love to see Jerome get into GEAR and get some swing data to validate the things he is working on. Since he has so many questions and the only feedback right now is ball flight and "feel" " it would be interesting to see what GEAR says
In time with the set you will be able to dial in your distance with your irons. No more between clubs. Looked like it was clicking mentally. Keep it in short grasss
One of the hardest things about improvement in golf is that improvement feels wrong. Your incorrect swing is what feels right and comfortable. That's a point Rick was making. You have to do the slow uncomfortable swings/drills until they start to feel right. Most amateur golfers aren't willing to do that, and that's why they never improve between their once-a-year lessons.

Enjoyed that, I struggle with wrist part of the wrist part of the takeaway. It’s the main thing I will be working on in the winter.
Same here :)
