I may as well repeat it myself again about this lovely song regarding how Ciel's growing affection and feelings for Zero even though he's a highly advanced robot master on par with X. This again represent Zero's feelings for Ciel even more so than with Iris. That at least he got his second chance to redeem himself, even though there isn't a chance in hell he can live a life without conflict and war since he was built to be best of all machines in a era long since gone and forgotten since the original fallout between two college students Light & Wily over pushing robot hardware overall to its limits i.e. Double Gears & human A.I like machines i.e X.

So it's not a matter of time, but rather of WHAT happened in that moment. I think Serpent betrayed and killed her to steal her research data and the fragment of Ragnarok/Model W in some way, also if I actually hope this didn't happen. It would be pretty dark. Also, I have a personal theory about her and Alouette. It is pretty clear that Alouette is Prairie, they hold the same puppet, there's a lot of connection to Zero and Ciel in Prairie's room, she can't be a new character from ZX. She knows too much about what happened in the Zero series. Can Alouette be a sort of backup-copy of Ciel memories and informations ? This would mean that all of her knowledge would not be lost in the case if she would get killed. Prometheus even connects Prairie to Ciel by his encounters. She improved the Ciel System even though its completed. Prairie is Alouette's future self & commander yes with the same cat doll she's always carrying around. She loved Giro because she reminded her of Zero (her big brother & father figure), has implied feelings for Vent (& I think she's fine with Aile assuming she's into both genders). I can't say for sure, but to me I think both Ciel & Alouette has their own hidden potentials that even Mavericks are scared of them. Ciel being the original intended chosen one for Model Z by a different source much to her dismay since she's a pacifistic scientist, researcher & leader of Guardians who rather negotiate in diplomatic manners to end conflicts as peacefully as possible then fighting (unless she has to protect her closest family & friends like X did many years ago) well don't threaten her family & friends or commit acts of chaso for the evulz, she will drop any peace attempts & end ya life quick as any Mavericks; Mother Elf & Cyber Elves comes to mind. I don't think it was confirmed that she was killed by Serpent. She just went missing. Plus, if I recall, she appears to be living longer than everyone else, so she must've become a cyborg at some point. Unless if the third Megaman ZX comes out (which of course will never happen), might explain this possibly.

Until we actually get an official statement, or a potential ZX3 game is released, we won't truly know which it is. Of course, there's the chance we never get that answer, considering how much ZXA deviated from ZX's original canon.

Had to make a 5 year disagreement...we don't even know if he succeed or not (probably not, since Dr. Albert probably told him that he can't be bothered to waste his time lookin' for Ciel while covering up evidence xcept the data disk...). She escaped as far away from Serpent as possible, make a barrier on Model W's core with 6 BioMetals she brought back from Cyberspace, left X & Zero on a lab & went into hiding.
