Good video overall but honestly everything you went over explained why Westbrook actually was a great signing for the Nuggets. Ignoring the size of his contract really doesn't make any sense. That's the only way you can really measure the quality of the signing, by comparing him to any of the alternatives who would have agreed to that amount of money in the same off season. If they had signed Gary Trent or Cory Joseph for example, they would have had all the same problems that they have now, without anything like the potential upside that they got by signing Russ. Obviously losing KCP, and losing Bruce Brown before that has made them a lot worse, and they're going to be probably a bit too reliant on Braun to provide what both of them were offering. However, a separate problem that they've had with their team this whole time, is that they have little to no playmaking without Jokic or Murray on the floor. Combine that with the current concerns about Murray that you mentioned, and Westbrook becomes a very obvious answer to this problem. He has proven that he has been happy playing a lesser role with the Clippers over the last few years, but he also clearly has enough athleticism left in him to step up and be the primary ball handler whenever it's needed. Also you didn't mention it in the video but Dario Saric is a very underrated pickup for them. He's someone that can at least space the floor as the backup 5 man for them when Jokic is on the bench, and I think that he has the potential to combine really well with Westbrook attacking the basket during their bench minutes together.

A guard that isn't at least ok at 3points that isn't great at defense or playmaking isn't a good guard nowadays. Hate to see some players getting swollowed by the always evolving monster named NBA. It has taken some really "once good players" and made them obsolete. Absolute monster giving 120% effort every game and he even had no chill during the all star weekend. When he left Denver he had a few games for Brooklyn and Houston within one season. Went to China, Russia, Mexico and the G-League after being a seasoned NBA player for almost a decade. So sad. And then there's Westbrook, the best player of 2017, the MVP. I loved watching him at that time because he was trying to kill the rim every night. What do they have in common? They are all bad shooters or non-shooters.
Exactly! And contrast these players with someone like Brook Lopez. He has transformed his game over the years, and really improved his shot to be a serious threat from 3 and a floor spacer. That makes him a valuable asset to any roster needing size & rim protection.

Swish you gotta make a video about the Bucks next . They look like there on the verge of blowing it up
Russ is a role player now. People should lower their expectations, he can be a Caruso-like but more on creating plays for others.
No he needs the ball and if he doesn't get it he gets butthurt. He's the kid at pickup who keeps shooting and everyone hates, just in the NBA.
@@edelmantoamendolafacts!
He can't control himself
@@edelmantoamendolano he sees everybody on his team is afraid to shoot the ball so he does it. watch games
@ lol MPJ and Jamal Murray are afraid to shoot? You sure about that?

Jokic wanted Westbrook and the front office supported him. They are not forced into the westbrook trap, they chose it.
Facts!
Do you have video of Jokic saying that? Cuz Westbrook has made zero teams better from what I've seen over the last several years.
Jokic didn’t not say that stop putting false information on the internet
i doubt he actually wanted him... jokic is too smart not to notice this disaster
just point out 1 time, that west brook make any team better. and don't say okc with durant because reggie jackson was the point guard because westbrook could no be trust the ball with 2 minutes left in the clock
Jamal Murray did have a great regular season last year though. That injury, 2 weeks before the playoffs last season messed him up.
