- The Greatest Hits Radio team, led by Kate Thornton (and with some help from our friends at Hits Radio, Magic Radio, KISS, Absolute Radio and Jazz FM) decided to welcome Ken Bruce in the only way we know how...with a HUGE surprise party!
Ken Bruce and Great Hits Radio are the BEST.

No the BBC is not woke GHR is full of 20th Century presenters from the fucking past. The BBC want to make room for new presenters unlike GHR which have shit music and presenters from the 20th Century.
Greatest Hits radio is the best station out there by a mile. Ewan and Kat followed by Ken, unbeatable 🎉

That was the most awesome welcoming I've seen and Ken is reunited with his friends... Greatest hits radio has another treasure with them and BBC R2 has lost so many listeners, they treated him bad in the last moments. I would love to go on popmaster but under pressure I'd probably only get 3 😅 but it would be a privilege to speak to Ken anyway even if I did make a monkey out myself lol
Radio 2 (and a bit of 6 Music) was all I listened to a few years ago, now I only tune-in for the magnificent Liza Tarbrush on Saturday. The rest of the time I'm on Greatest Hits Radio and Boom Radio. Both of those are great stations.

I've recently changed to this radio station, i love it, no more pathetic adorations for individuals who truly are dire! The bbc are hating on older listeners.

How ironic that sounds considering they just got rid of the most dire of all.
I love big ken, and mr mayo....but trying to listen on your app is almost impossible...please do something about it....

I miss Ken Bruce and Steve wright l know people can’t go on forever but they are people in this world that when you listen to them they make you feel relaxed and feel comfortable and laugh 😊as my dad used to say if eight broke don’t fix it 😊

@ritch5539 You could say that but when you cannot remove stations from your radio when scanning and have no choice but to land on them mid song and when you have the radio on all day because you drive as a job you can see how I have had to put up with him for years. Thirty years in fact. And still he won’t go away!

As much as I like Ken Bruce, I can’t help but want to send some thoughts out for Mark Goodger. I find myself rather sceptical that he lost his show of 4 years and now has just been relegated to weekends just so they can Pop Master at its usual time. 🧐

I turned this on the other day and it's utter crap full of adverts and they all play over Ken talking, he won't last 12 months on here you can already here in his voice thinking "what have I done"?

Easy to be the most listened to when you are on a national mid range radio station. Usual BBC monopoly. See how the old bore will get on now he has lost most of his listeners.

This is the worst radio station going.
It's constantly advertising itself after each song with its ditty "this is greatest hits radio" time after time after time.
Is it really necessary, it's as though no one knows what channel they're programmed into.
Besides it's the same songs each Day.

Utter rubbish you are spouting! At least I no longer have to listen to the drivel of radio 2 kow towing to individuals purporting to be music masters!
I am the Same I would rather listen to Radio 1, Capital, Heart and Absolute Radio.
You can pay around £40 a year without adverts
I don't want to I hate Greatest Hits Radio. I am already forced to listen to it in the car
I have but my parents won't let me turn it off 106.7 (GHR Plymouth) because they like listening to that shit.
