I saved the drug lord, they kept quiet about the girl’s death. Connor reminds me of my friend, it’s sad he ended up dying trying to save the girl because I wouldn’t have had to shoot him.

I'm amazed on how people make stuff like this. Not only do you have to edit it and find all the scenes, but you have to be able to have the idea of what you want it to be in the first place and chose the sounds/dialogue/actions that make it have the most impact. This edit flows together so well- the "They don't want anything... I want you to leave her alone!", the music, the specific (and perfectly chosen) dialogue... Man the chills I love this so much

These are some of my favourite parts,, incase anyone cares,,
- 0:31 the contrast of connor following his orders and saying androids can’t have wants then it cutting to Kara saying what she wants, then Markus saying he doesn’t wanna leave, also that scene is so emotional. All this together is just *perfection*
- 0:42 Hank shouting then the cut to connor shooting, then all that badass edit of them all... *CHILLS*
- 0:51 the ‘what are you really?’ ‘you’re lost.’ but then connor saying ‘i’m a machine’ yeah that was awesome

Detroit is a masterpiece that gives you choices, leads you down paths where the ending is ultimately different, the characters start to feel real and that you are in a living breathing environment, and ultimately, make you question what you do, what you should do, and what you could do. The only thing I regret about this game is that I cannot play it as I am an Xbox gamer, not a playstation gamer.
TheEpicNoob Every single game studio should be doing this, immersing everyone in the game so much they feel a connection to the character like everyone who played this game did. I love this game studio for doing that and I hope they make another similar game.

Pity there isn't a Connor's "want" quote/line there. Back at Kamski's place, when he asks Connor what does he really want, one of Connor's possible answers (the TROUBLED one) is "What I want is not... important." The wording and the way he says it, with hesitation and almost difficulty maintaning eye contact with Kamski suggests that there is something he WANTS in this conflict, a personal interest of his.
But I understand that at this point of the video there is emphasis on Connor as the "other side" to the android revolution. However, he can also say in this chapter "All I *want* is to solve this case." or "I don't want anything, I'm a machine". Could have been used too. But this whole sequence is just art, just like the other ones where the lines of the three main characters combine or oppose each other.
Anyway, I certainly didn't mean it to sound as a critique because this video is PURE masterpiece and gives me chills and shivers evey time I watch it. And I watched it a lot of times. So many strong emotions. THANK YOU for this.
detroit is one of the most emotional games in my entire life seriously I have never been so worried about the characters for their fate and many actions but the moment when Hank hugged connor broke my tears it's just amazing the very game that I want to replay dozens of times to see everything and reveal the whole plot

a lot of people think about those really fast-paced, constantly moving edits that you find on instagram when they think of the word "edit," and i did for a while too, but seeing this one manage to perfectly establish a mood and tell a story through the simplistic editing of only narration, music, and short clips yet still manage to be more meaningful than any other edit i've seen has simply blown my mind. amazing job and kudos to you.

The beginning beats right after the first “Way down we go” where you synced it to the sounds of punching/fighting was so... *_satisfying_* to listen to! And the other bits where you synced gunfire and fighting to the beat again... Amazing. Well done.
At 1:17 when Hank asks Conner if he’s okay, and Conner just looks shellshocked and scared, it hurts me. And 1:36 when he denies himself out of fear. He’s the most human out of everyone in the game if you ask me
My favorite part is hearing their voices change from soft, emotionless and monotone, to passionate, empathetic, and truly themselves

The way the gunshots/other sounds sync up with the music and the transitions between the parallels between characters (especially between Connor and Markus) is incredible.
i came upon the song today and i remembered this edit. even though the last time i watched it was two years ago, i could still clearly hear the dialogue and scenes you have put over the lyrics, so here i am again. this is the best edit i have ever watched, from any form of media i have ever consumed. this is the top one for me. i don’t think there will ever exist an edit that will move me so much. the fact that this has stayed with me for four years says a lot. you really are so talented that there aren’t enough words to praise you. everything flows so well, everything is so well-chosen it gives me chills everytime i watch it, no matter what, even though i’m not even in the fandom anymore. you have created a masterpiece that i will seriously never forget.

It gives the idea of androids being surpressed shows kara talking back, markus being pushed over and connor being told hes lost, markus having a speech about choice in the beginning without context and hank at the end saying moment of truth.
It shows just enough spoilers to keep you interested but not enough to spoil the entire game

Oh my God, I loved it when Markus asked Kara why she was protecting Alice and then that WELCOME HOME MARKUS - just made a parallel to how he felt the need to protect his 'dad', it's the same thing. So subtle yet genius. 😭❤️
I keep coming back are rewatching this. I just can’t get over the many emotions this puts me through. It’s almost like I can feel the pain, the anguish, the fear, the happiness, and more that these fictional characters feel. You did so well with this creation of yours. The song and the game audio go so well together and it’s just so beautifully put together. I don’t know how you managed this but I just want to thank you for making this and giving it to the world.

I come here every single day... Ever since I watch this for the first time, I fall in love with this video, pure perfection
SAME ENERGY!!! I don't know why, but every time when I remember this game, I cry.
You showing all the parallels among them... ooh, God, I FELT IT. Especially when you did things like switch scenes but with the characters in the same position (and how their words contradict each other) ex. Markus taking a step turns into Connor taking a step. Gorgeous edit, you must have taken some time to put some thought into it. I love the song, too, BTW, you're not the only one obsessed lol. I especially love these characters.
Just wanted to say that this is in the top ten, no top five edits I’ve ever seen. I can’t even begin to imagine how long this must have taken. This is pure high quality. Those moments when the rhythm and gunshots match is sooo satisfying, and you can really see that the one who made this edit know the story and characters in game very well.
Something else I’ve noticed, is that you can clearly hear what they are saying, the sound is perfectly balanced, I don’t think I’ve ever heard both the music and what they are saying at the same time.
So, to end this rant, I just am really impressed and wanted to say thank you for the amazing edit❤
