For me the best way to combat this, is to switch from a full pool mindset to partials along the way, with the biggest partial being taken first at a low hanging fruit target.

it baffles my mind why no one talks about hedging positions by opening bi-directional trades, the outcome is never going to be huge RR ratio but its incremental and you always win at the end of the day. this is also a stress free trading technique in my honest opinion!

The reason why good trades continue is because they get recycled a lot. If people (you) are confident in a trade and checking out chances are it won't last. Anticipation of psychology and accurate mathing of the meta emotions and how they play out over time is key and also the most difficult and competitive aspect of the game.
