    The explanation of the above 2 questions-
    1. This is the order at which each person is looking to the next person- Jack(Married)------> Anne(Don't know??)------> George(Unmarried).
    Let's assume 2 conditions i, Anne= Married ii, Anne = Unmarried.
    i, If Anne is married, then she a married person is looking at an unmarried person(George).
    ii, If Anne is unmarried, then Jack a married person is looking at Anne who is unmarried.
    Hence, does not matter whether Anne is married or unmarried, the outcome is fixed- a married person is looking at an unmarried person.
    2. Let's assume the price of bat is- X & the price of ball is- Y.
    From the given information we can infer,
    X+Y= 1.10 -----i
    X-Y=1 ---------ii
    By combining i + ii we get,
    2X= 2.10
    or X=1.05
    putting the value of X in any equation(i or ii) the value of y comes= 0.05
    Hence, X= 1.05 & Y= 0.05.

    Literally whipped out a pen and paper for the Bat and Ball question . I remember previously being tricked by this question, and never truly understood how the answer wasn't $0.1. Now I used math to solve it!
    Bat + Ball = 1.1
    Bat is also eqauls to Ball +1
    Therefore
    Ball + 1 + Ball= 1.1
    2Ball= 0.1
    Ball =0.05
    Paused the video at 6:18 for this 😅

    The first example you can clearly see there's a middle person, but the second example is questionably just a play on words, no actual math.

      1. If Anne isn't married, then Jack is the married person looking at an unmarried person. If Anne is married, she's the married person looking at an unmarried person (George).
      2. The bat costs $1 more than the ball. So if the ball is $0.05, the bat is $1.05.

      @@Duomoinitiative This "thinking" is above my paygrade, because we don't know anything about Anne...Wouldn't we be assuming Anne is married....
      And $1.05 total, is less than $1.10....isn't it?

      Try this - the bat is 100 cents MORE than the ball. If the ball cost 10 cents, the bat would cost $1.10. Total = $1.20. The total has to be $1.10. So, if the ball costs 5 cents, the bat MUST be 105 cents. Total = $1.10.
