- Hey everyone!
Lovebites was my first introduction to japanese music and I love them ever since!
Also I learned to play the piano for over 10 years but haven't played a lot these last years, simply because I don't have a piano at hand where I live right now and also because I'm learning the guitar now too. :P
Loved the Helloween cover, so let's check out the rest! :D

Are you going to see LOVEBITES live in Lindau?
DUDE!!! Thank you so much for telling me!! Instantly bought a ticket and it's actually not that far from where I live! 😁
This is gonna be awesome!! 🤘🤘
Finally someone that compare the two version. Miyako for me made a excellent job because take a classic piece and transform in rock or metal is relative easy, but the contrary is very hard to do, but Miyako solve the problem with class and elegance!
Miyako is a genius!

Crazy good. Yes!! fantastic. Lovebites make it look easy ! Miyako The Golden Touch🤘👍
Miyako has been brought up with real acoustic grand piano.
Halloween and Lovebites❤❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
That was an awesome cover by Lovebites, and I've run out of superlatives for Miyako, the generational talent.
Miyako is perfection ! Lovebites is perfection !
You‘re completely right. Asami‘s voice and singing style is perfect for this song. I commented exactly this on some other reactions …
Metal and classical are actually very similar in theory and musical composition the main difference is obviously the distorted and over driven instruments but Musically the complexity of the compositions are put together in the same way unlike pop ,jazz , rock etc.
🐺LOVEBITES RULES🐺
The Roland she's just used for some live performances with Lovebites to make it easier to avoid potential feedback issues. In the early years she'd have a keyboard style stage piano on a stand and more recently she's had a full acoustic piano at some larger concerts, as she prefers the action when playing one, though the Roland was in use for the first two concerts with Fami.
The Roland was notably used for the Five of a Kind concert DVD/Bluray from 2020, which includes the most reacted to version of Swan Song with the Chopin Revolutionary Etude intro.

STEINWAY Grand Piano
They are so so so good. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
It might be my favourite solo piano piece. It's impossible to compare it to a work like Beethoven's Sonata Pathetique, which has three movements and some sublime moments, but I know that I listen to Eagle Fly Free more often. The rest of the EP is great but this one really stands out.
The only reference to a digital Roland piano I've heard was the famous live Chopin (Etude No. 12) intro to Swan Song. I'm pretty sure it's a real piano on this EP.
Ah ok, I had it mixed up 😉
She used a Steinway for her Piano concert last fall where she played songs from her EP and classical pieces.
And she has a Yamaha baby grand at home since her childhood. I‘m not sure, but maybe she recorded the EP with this in her home studio. She is credited for arranging, playing, recording and producing in the booklet. The only part she did not by herself was the final mastering.
The 5 WHITE NINJA'S ROCKS!!!🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
❤❤❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 Miyako !!!💗yes they put there own spin on it they had too , Helloween has 3 guitarists and did it live at least once with 3 guitarists and two drummers
When Lovebites done a cover, they want to show their respect by keeping the song as original as possible and not trying to recreate. Most of the time, Lovebites’ mixing is newer and better so their instruments stand out more.
Just wanna thank you for not falling into the trap, like many others, of rating Lovebites version "better" (or worse) than the original. It's a wonderful tribute to an already iconic song from a legendary band. Keep in mind, it is already 36 years old (!).
It's played almost 1:1 to the original and I enjoy both of them very much.

💯👍👍👍
Love both these versions, i think the full band cover is very close to the original. From all the Lovebites covers i've heard so far they always stick pretty close to the original song, for them i feel is more of a tribute to the original band than trying to make it different.
Personally i prefer it this way, ive heard so many covers from other bands where they try to put their own spin into iconic songs and it just sucks 😂
As for the pianos, Miyako uses the white Roland electric piano in their Live performances. This white grand piano in the cover (no clue what brand it is) was just for this video as far as i know.
At home Miyako has a black Yamaha grand piano (baby grand maybe?) that her parents got her when she was becoming more of an advanced player. She also worked to save up money to replace the keys on that piano at home because she didnt like the feel of plastic keys.
She did a video about it but sadly dont have subtitles - ruclips.net/video/QQBtOMJ8c8s/видео.htmlsi=mezbZYRe6oZtERcg 🤘🐺
I enjoy/like Lovbites, but I am certainly not a superfan and I personally much prefer the piano version just because the Lovebites version (and the original) are the kind of power metal that I tend to get bored off pretty quickly. It's impressive as far as musicianship goes and while their Blu-rays tend to be pretty produced, this one didn't sound overly produce to me (Asami's vocals at the end were not 100% on pitch, which I think is a good thing). It makes it more impressive to me personally because she was pretty good throughout the track and those tiny imperfections is what makes music great. I also loved Miho's basswork, I can't remember her playing these kinds of runs before. But just overall I would listen to the piano version way more often just because of how tired I can get from this type of power metal, I much prefer their more thrashy songs. Both versions were really well done though without question.
I am not shure, but have you listened to Lovebites Cover of Painkiller?
I don't think I have. Usually I don't listen to covers a lot, but well it's lovebites so maybe I will 😋
