The slightest of accents is just beautiful, and I think it adds a little something special. Thank you Asami and Miyako for just being two of the most beautiful souls in this chaotic world we live in 😂
I don't think a lot of people realize how hard it is for a native Japanese speaker to pronounce English word, because a lot of the mouth shapes aren't naturally made in the Japanese language. For example a sound like "luh, lee, lo", where you scrape the tip of your tongue across the roof of your mouth isn't natural (that's why their "L" will sound like an "R"). There's also a difference in the cadence of speech and what/where words are stressed in a sentence. So despite all those challenges, Asami sang this flawlessly with only the piano accompaning. This was a truly beautiful performance, by both ladies....sorry, didn't mean to get all into a grammar lesson LOL. But Asami did such a phoenomenal job that I wanted to throw that out there.
I agree with you and I have many native Japanese friends. Asami does wonderfully well and to consider how I would (do) sound singing in Japanese I am sure is terrible in their ears. I would never criticize anyone of another native language trying to speak English. I hope God blesses Lovebites with the fame they deserve! They simply are The Best!
