Stacey and Tom, very much appreciate your valuable insights and views! Excellent video, very well done, thank you so much! We previously owned a Forest River Berkshire coach but traded for a Newmar Dutch Star for several reasons - completely different levels of Class A diesel pushers, but night and day difference in features and build quality. We had experienced horrible cross winds and big rig effects while driving the Berkshire on an interstate highway - one big reason for the switch: Newmar builds in a steering mitigation system which is a phenomenal feature that really makes the drive much safer, no comparison. And the build quality in the Newmar is head and shoulders above what we had. I think Tiffen is certainly comparable, we have friends who have a Tiffen and they love it too.

Very informative video, and is exactly the information we're looking for in our search for our next RV - a small dp motorcoach.
I'd love to know where you are. Some of the pictures looked like CO, but then turn around, and not sure that's all in the 360 view in CO. Perhaps, but not sure.

Nice video. Comparing a Breeze to a New tire is about as Apples to Oranges as you can get. The breeze is the entry diesel pusher for Tiffin. It has two DP lines above it (Phaeton and Bus). The New Aireis in the Luxury DP for Newmar.
The base MSRP for the 2023 New Hire is $597K vs. $373 for the Breeze..
For $226K, the New Aire should be about twice as good as Breeze

    • @rvamericayall
      @rvamericayall  2 года назад +1

That’s true but we weren’t comparing price just what we looked at as the difference in companies & why we chose the New Aire because the only coach Tiffin makes that’s close in luxury class is the Bus 35CP but it was actually 37’ which was way bigger than we wanted to go but very nice.

The Tiffin Red Bay service process sounds like a nightmare.
We presently own a 2022 Newmar but have never had to go to Nappanee for service (perhaps someday....) as the few minor issues we had upon delivery were taken care of by our dealer.
Listening to you describe the service procedure at Red Bay has my head spinning. Although we did consider Tiffin when we were Class A shopping the distance to Red Bay was a consideration but the no-appointment policy that Tiffin has simply knocked Tiffin out of the running. We are in the Northeast and there is no way we would travel to Alabama without the certainty of a confirmed service appointment.
    Enjoy your Newmar---beautiful coach!!

Things have changed at Tiffin. We have been fighting with Tiffin for 2 months about an issue we have had since we bought the coach new. The best I have received from Tiffin is if we brought the coach to Red Bay they would "help" us with the repair. Tbey would not define help, nor would they say they would do the repair. I have taken yhe coach to the dealer 3 times concerning this issue (2 of which were within the first month we had the coach) once to Red Bay, and two other times to mobile techs. I our experience Tiffin service has become Thor service and we would NOT buy another Tiffin just because of the service.

Excellent video and I agree with your conclusions. I own a Tiffin Phaeton but was very close to deciding on the Newmar Ventana. We went with the Phaeton because the 40’ Newmar did not offer a king bed option and an option to vent the kitchen stove outside. Both are great companies. The only disagreement I have with your review is that the two models, Breeze vs New Aire, are like comparing a Chevy vs Mercedes. The MSRP (depending on options) for the ’22 Breeze is roughly $374,000 and for the New Aire is $590,000. In fact, a 37’ Allegro Bus is less than the New Aire. The New Aire is a small version of the top of the line King Aire. Unfortunately, Tiffin doesn’t make an equivalent to the New Aire which is why it is a wonderful option for anyone.

New Aires are a lot more expensive than the Breeze. They are in the same price range of Allegro Buses. When we priced out our 2019 Tiffin Allegro Red New Aires were about $150k more. I’m afraid to know what they cost now. Our Tiffin Red 37pa is a least $100k more MSRP now. We looked at the Newmar Ventana LE ( now Kountry Star ) which was similar price range as the Tiffin Allegro Red. From what I’ve seen of both when we were in the market in 2019 was the Newmar had a better build quality including paint. What sold us on the Tiffin was the floor plan and the comfort of the furniture. The Ventana LE furniture was uncomfortable and hard. So we compromised. We full time in our Red..Tiffin caulking of exterior seams is uneven and has small gaps that I repaired. The build techs just apply the caulk and run a finger over it. Newmar, if they don’t tape have techs with a steady hand. We’ve had to have a couple of cabinet doors replaced because the knob holes were drilled incorrectly. I had under warranty an additional furnace duct installed because the living room furnace burner would cycle on off due to internal over heating. I had to add over 100 screws to all the drawer runner glides because Tiffin only put in a couple of screws and the wood was too soft for the screws. Uses thin super glue to reinforce the screw holes. The double kitchen sink plumbing gets plugged up easily despite using wire sink in drain strainers. I have to take apart the drain tube and trap to flush out crud that collects which prevents the sinks from draining. The Furrion 3 burner stove top is a stupid design, you can only use two pots at a time. I’ve had to replace three led ceiling lights. Luckily they are on Amazon. Our two dinette seats and relner will have to get new Ultraleather because the leather is peeling from the backing. One of our manual night shades needs new internal parts again. Tiffin parts department is a pain to work with. They charged me $50 is shipping for two window shade parts that totaled $15. The shipped each part separately instead of combining the two parts. The main passenger living room slide isn’t centered. The dinette sliding window is very hard. We had our first year warranty done under Covid so we had to stay a whole month in May 2020 to get 30 items performed as they limited the service center to 7 bays with one tech. Luckily we stayed no charge at the service center campground. The service center is old and junky looking. The second year of service center repairs was probably express service. Several items were no performed to my satisfaction. I’ll go back to Red Bay to use other vendors but won’t use the service center ever again we still like our rig but Tiffin could spend a bit more time on build quality and choose better vendors. Probably will never buy another RV again especially during these unprecedented times.

Really this newmar vs tiffin comparison wasn't set up well. Tiffin has comparable Small luxury diesel. The breeze is not it. A Tiffin Allegro Red 360 33A (35ft) would have been a better comparison 360HP.

We were comparing our coaches not ones we didn’t own. We weren’t doing an apples to apples excerpt for the service centers. The Red is not a fair comparison either. We would have to compared the New Aire to the Tiffin 35 CP Bus!

@RV Texas Y'all. Ok i see. The Aallegro Bus usually compares with higher level Newmars since it is standard with 8.9L 450hp, 15K towing, etc. I see your point, tough to get an apples to apples comparison. All depends on what you want!
Maybe if they made a short Phaeton DP!

Love you guys but is this a joke ? Kind of a rather useless comparison as the Newmar is a full sized class A diesel with 22.5 tires. A Breeze which has 19.5, s. Also the Newmar is about $150K more, so this is like comparing a row boat to a yacht.

The main comparison is the facilities & why we changed to the Newmar. We said we looked at the higher end Tiffins but they didn’t have what we were looking for in this size.

This really a bogus comparison. The breeze is barely more than half the price of the Newmar.

Yes, they are at different price points, Lucas. But since we have owned and lived full-time in both, folks were asking us how they compared.

Those two are not the same class motorhomes...look at the price difference.

Hold your hat, the next type of motor home engines are going to be ELECTRIC. Carbon based fuels for engines are on the way out. Not only are the carbon based fuels getting expensive, they are also polluters. Tesla, is already testing an electric based van for living in. It's an exciting future for the motor home industry!

Having everyone switch to electric vehicles is pie in the sky. You really think the our “leaders” want us to have the freedom to travel? Climate change policies are just to enslave us in a dystopian one world order. Wake up.

Hi Folks. I'm a little late commenting but hope you had fun at Curt Gowdy State Park, which I recognized instantly - lovely place, I fondly remember driving around up there and enjoying Granite Springs lake with my wife (we had a Mtn Cabin a bit further S around Red Feather Lakes CO, also a lovely area to be and would be very RV friendly area, alot less crowded than Rcky Mtn Ntl Park). Nice to ditch the humidity up at that altitude ! I'll shoot for Camp Russel campground, and I'll do one better: 41.180553829917, -105.23953261373963 🧐 Nice review, appreciate the feedback, am looking at a 2008 Newmar as a first RV purchase (sadly our homestead farmhouse burned and need temp housing - but wanted something we could then get out on the road with later and feel good about being able to service and be supported as we learn the ropes of RV-ing, Glad to confirm what I'd heard about it being family biz (in spirit even after the Merger) and craftsman with pride that assemble these things and that there's still a very reliable and customer friendly way to ensure service is available for it.
