Incredible Falcon 8X performance at Death Valley's Star Wars Canyon

  • In early January, we flew a mission to demonstrate the unique capabilities of the Falcon 8X in Star Wars Canyon-a proving ground in California for low-level, tactical fighters. This was not your everyday business jet mission-but this is not your everyday business jet. The same degree of care and precision that goes into designing and building a business jet that can perform the most demanding missions for its pilots also goes into designing and building an unmatched cabin experience with comfort, quiet, convenience, and connectivity for the passengers. Thank you Flight Safety International for utilization of the Falcon 8X simulator and assisting with our “familiarization” of Starwars Canyon. Special thanks to Brian Henderson for initial support for our team.

Just wanted to share with you what this video means to my step son who is 3.5y.o. He has loved this video for a long time now and can't stop watching it and asks for it all the time. It's now a daily routine that we watch this when I put him to bed instead of a bedtime story. I love the music and visuals but the narration is sort of stupid at times :)

Big thanks to Scott Glaser of Aerospace Operations LLC. Gomex, we are extremely fortunate to have you as a friend, advisor, and safety pilot. CineJet, thank you for your outstanding support and beautiful camera work. You all make the 8X shine bright! Thanks to Brian Henderson from FSI. Many hours of prep with you in the 8X sim definitely helped make this happen. Thanks to our DFJ Flight Ops maintenance team (Tom, Rick, Mark, Matt and John) who keep us flying day in and day out. And last but not least, BIG thanks to the family (Samantha, Tommy and Ben) for your support through all the years and with helping make this dream come true!

Nothing will ever beat trijets for their looks and neat flight dynamics. My dad is a corporate pilot, so when I was younger I got to spend a good amount of time around the 50s and 900s. Now that I'm looking into getting a pilot's license in the future, I've been sim-learning the 50EX and it's absolutely fantastic.

@@msnpass2004 The callouts are V1, Rotate, V2. It is possible that V1 and Rotate could be the same number and they could reach V2(Engine-Out climb speed) at rotation considering it's a trijet and they were very lightly loaded for the short flight. "Rotate, V2" makes perfect sense.
