Luv my FM9! It was worth being on the wait list for a long time, till it was on my door step. Now I’m gigging it every weekend with a big smile. I’m now a fractal for life after owning and gigging with Helix, HeadRush, Kemper profile stage, Boss GT1000. FRACTAL ALL THE WAY
I have the Headrush Gigboard, and also now the FM9, I still don't feel the Headrush that far away, but the flexibility of the FM9, the Editor, and routing options are the pluses, clearly
Videos like this are what made me pull the trigger on a pricey product that I could not demo at a local store. The leap of faith was well worth it. My analog pedal board and combo amp have been packed away at home and have not seen a live gigging situation for a couple of years now. My entry into the fractal universe was an FM3. I built my own custom board out of poplar wood from Home Depot and got a pelican type case from Amazon. I just hit a gig, open the case, put the board on the floor and after a couple of cable connections I’m good to go with a sound I have honestly never had. I do get approached from time to time with people complimenting the tone….all guitar players. For all, they have never seen or heard a fractal in person (still waiting for someone to come up and say they, too, have a fractal). I always take the time to answer questions and even let some people play to get a feel for the unit. I’m truly blown away at all i have at my disposal in this small unit. Ideally I would love to get an Axe3 head unit for the dual amps and more flexibility but for now things could not be better.
The FM9 got the dual amp stuff, and way more flexibility than the FM3, just got it, and nearly all the patches build for the Axe are OK as is on the FM9, juste some times you won't get this specific thing, or you'd split into two presets but.... more than cool
Amazing video, thanks Cooper, thanks Justin. I have watched all Cooper's video's (I think) and learned so much. I want these presets for my FM9. Especially that lead tone (around 4.10) and the one at 11.48 & 13.03. I will look for them in the Fractal forum or G66 site. The one at 14.18 too. So proud to be part of the Fractal family.
It’s smart you made an IR of the cab he is use to and has used live. When I had my axefx one of the first things I did was make an IR of my cab and how I mic’d it and only used that IR. I mean it’s the cab I had been playing for 10 years and was burned in my brain. Also, that main tone of his is awesome sounding.
sounds great. love the clean/edge of break up tone, then the stereo delay and reverb. do you ever find, when in a mix with band on stage, you second guess your settings and feel unhappy? i had a headrush, and sounded good at home, pretty good at rehearsals, but often uninspiring live at gigs. ive gone back to my mesa single rec, that sound ok at home but in a mix sounds amazing almost always. no feeling i have to tweak at gigs. I find myself just focusing on playing and not thinking about tweaking with just amp and pedals.
I want to play to these so bad because I’ve had my FM9 for six months now and I still hate it and I still use my helix live but damn these tones sound amazing
I have no idea who this guy is or know nothing about the band and I think those presets are by far the best I've ever heard, and I play mostly Death Metal stuff. Would be nice if they can be shared or put up for sale.
@coopercarter Great Sound awesome, questen Mr. Carter du you set the Output Level in Output Config to -10dBV or +4dBu when he use the Axe with the Bogner Cabs? Thankx
Sp when this signal is routed to FOH.... is the sound engineer setting the EQ to flat and then only managing the channel gain and channel volume? All volume boosting for things like solos and end of song jams boosted by the engineer or Justin? How about the in ear mix? Is a second signal routed from the unit or from the monitor board which is fed from the main board? Same seneeio with EQ and channel boosts for leads? Justin is hands down one of the top guitarists on the planet. Thank you.
Hello.! thank you so much for the video. I have a question: when editing a preset ( scene ) how do I clean the what is in foe example Scene SO1 so that when I don't keep the same thing in scene S02, S03..etc ?
I'm just wondering why? As a smaller artist I could understand the logistics of hauling gear, but as a member of Pink, and still hauling the same physical gear? is it because of consistency of tone?
He's using a piezo in his Les Pauls with a preset I made and a tone match of his Taylor. We actually shot a bunch of stuff with it but there was an issue with the recording. We'll do some more soon!
Aw, Fractal Dude, you never do Devil Fingers while somebody is playing guitar!!! Ever!!! Otherwise, they’d look exactly like you did, doing Devil Fingers while Justin was playing guitar. Smh.
I love this video i listen every pink song in my childhood im a guitarist and i live in italy but i love pop music when i was kid i my name is mahdi and im 22 years old i hope one day my dreams it comes true i hope one day play guitar with guitarist of pink its my dream this video its the best ive found 🌟🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🌞🌞🌟⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟🌟🌟🌞🌞🇺🇸🇺🇸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸

these presets MUST be released unless there is some copyright issue. This is amazing.
True! Waiting for it.
Cooper I’m sure got paid to do all this work for him to build patches. I’m sure they are owned by Justin.
The excitement on all y'all's faces is awesome, just like the tones! Great stuff!
Let’s get that IR!!

Stellar player!!!
Load the patches guy's !!!! Would be cool to see how the patches are laid out.
That jmp tone blew my mind.. wow!

Can you post them here when you find them :)

For the signal going to the cabs.. are you turning off the cab IR in the fractal.. thanks. Again sounds incredible ..👍
I would guess is he only using a seperate out without cabs before the cab block.
Front of house AND to regular cabs? Amazing
Sensacionales sonidos very greats sounds ;)

A modeller shouldn't be able to make such an awesome tone!!!! Jesus wept that some insane tone going on there!
I want to play to these so bad because I’ve had my FM9 for six months now and I still hate it and I still use my helix live but damn these tones sound amazing
Thank you for posting this!!!! Sounds huge as always. One question Cooper. Did Justin use an Enhancer block with his crunch and lead sounds?
Yes both
I would buy those presets just to see the magic of the tweaking.
Please sell or release that JMP preset!
Sounds great Cooper and Justin! Will the presets be made public? 😉
I have no idea who this guy is or know nothing about the band and I think those presets are by far the best I've ever heard, and I play mostly Death Metal stuff. Would be nice if they can be shared or put up for sale.

I just want the JMP
Can we buy this patch? This is fantastic
Amazing Tones! These Reverbs and Delays are before or After the IR? I would like to know if he listen this amazing ambient effects in stage Cabs!

Consistency of tone is important, yes, but hauling far less gear is also a big consideration even on huge tours. Cartage is expensive!!
Awesome! Is Justin running his acoustic guitars thru the Axe-Fx as well? I'd like to see a video of how that's done. Thanks.
He's using a piezo in his Les Pauls with a preset I made and a tone match of his Taylor. We actually shot a bunch of stuff with it but there was an issue with the recording. We'll do some more soon!
Which speaker are in the iso cabs you made the IR of?
Awesome video! 😍
Great tones. Are those pickups stock?
Sounds great. What isJustin using to power the guitar cabs?
Can We buy these?
Is he using 2 IR's panned left and right? Or is it just one IR. Also are the delays and verbs in parallel? Sounds incredible
So is he using the rig behind him or the fractal for gigs?
100% Fractal
Video editor software has stabilizing feature. Please use that before I start puking. LOL.
Anyone still reckon modellers aren’t as good as amps and pedals? Sell those amps and pedals while they are still worth something.
Way to polish off those sounds 😂
To harsh for me. Sike
sound very dull
Aw, Fractal Dude, you never do Devil Fingers while somebody is playing guitar!!! Ever!!! Otherwise, they’d look exactly like you did, doing Devil Fingers while Justin was playing guitar. Smh.
Here is his tone on real amps…. Not even in the same ballpark
