Each of you should give as you have decided in your heart to give. You should not be sad when you give, and you should not give because you feel forced to give. God loves the person who gives happily.

Just a thought: Pastors are constantly telling the flock that when they Tithe, God will bless them abundantly then why don't they Believe God would bless abundantly whatever the flock " purposed in their heart to give?" Why manipulate the flock into thinking that they have to give 10% and if they don't then they are being disobedient to God and all the other untruths?

I disagree with you totally , pastor Samuel. I have never heard a pastor who tells the truth regarding Tithes in the Scriptures. When it comes to Tithes, all conveniently quote from the Old Testament. Tithing was commanded under the Law of Moses and yes, was a mark of obedience as keeping all commands by God is. But no, it won't be exposing your heart in disobedience to God if you don't Tithe because it is not commanded in the New Testament. Liberal Giving is Paul's exhortation to Christians - 2 Corinthians 9:6-7. Throughout the New Testament, Christians are exhorted to Give NOT Tithe! Those who want to Tithe can do so BUT it is not commanded. Hebrews 7 speaks of the Tithe in relation to Abraham, the Law and the Levites who received the tithes. Giving sparingly/miserly is what will expose your heart to God.

I see no wrong in it. The love of Jesus is able to rebuke/chastise while speaking truth. Even Jesus Himself, out of the zeal for His father's house overturned tables and drove them out from the temple when they did contrary to God's word. The goal in this is found in John 17:21 KJV
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
So just saying, how can the world believe when there is much dissensions within us. Our truth has to be one and he is right on this one (tithing)

But many pastors preach Tithing for the financial benefits

@@tktchurchofficial I agree that the tithes weren't taxes but disagree with rest. I challenge you to quote one verse of Scripture where Christians are commanded/exhorted to Tithe in the New Testament. The beloved verses of pastors are from Malachi 3:8-10 (Old Testament) but these passages were directed to the Israelites/Jews, still under the Law, who had stopped Tithing as a nation.

@@tktchurchofficial That which is compulsory is a payment, not a gift. We don't give our taxes, we pay them. Such was the case with tithes under Mosaic Law. Systematic, biblical tithes were compulsory submissions of consumable items specifically purposed towards the Levitical theocracy, the poor (every 3 years), and for consumption at the festivals per the ceremonial and civil ordinances at that time. There's no such thing as a biblical tithe that was received from earned wages, not New Testament, or Old.

No, Pastor Samuel. Tithing is NOT in the New Covenant! It WAS in the Old Covenant under the Law of Moses. God made a New Covenant with Israel - Jeremiah 31:31-33 which is repeated in Hebrews 8:8-10 and that New Covenant is the Testimony of Jesus Christ. He is the mediator of the New Testament and represents the New Covenant. Nowhere in the New Testament did Jesus give the command to Tithe. (He did not say not to Tithe either - which suggests it's all left to the individual if he CHOOSES to tithe because he WANTS to) But what is important here is what Jesus COMMANDED in the New Testament and TITHING is NOT one of those commands - and remember, He spoke only those words that He heard from God, His Father. Jesus mentioned Tithing in Matthew 23:23 but it was to tell those Jews that though they Tithe, (the Law of Moses was still in force) they were neither merciful, compassionate, forgiving nor showed any kindness (to their own brethren) which were also ingrained in the Law. The disciples, in turn, spoke only those words heard from Jesus. None of Paul's Letters to the Churches has any commands/exhortations to Tithe neither does any of the Epistles from the other disciples who were all Jews (except one) and knew all about Tithing - under the Law. So if we, as Christians (Christ's followers) are no longer under the Law of Moses, and there are no commands to Tithe, how dare you preach such a sermon? And rude too! You certainly didn't hear THAT from God...

    • @tktchurchofficial
      @tktchurchofficial  Год назад

Since you have mentioned Jesus a lot, Let me ask you a question which if you answer right will tell us how much you know God and bible and will certainly answer your question of Did Jesus preach about tithing in New Testament.
The question is, Why did Jesus refrain from turning stones into bread when he was tempted?
Is turning stones into bread a sin? Because no where in the bible did it say turning Stones into bread when hunger is a sin.
if it was not a sin to turn stones to bread, then why did Jesus not do it?
I'm sure you wont be able to give an answer to it, clearly you dont have the wisdom. But here's one more thing I want you to remember for the rest of your life.
"THE CHURCH IS NOT AFTER YOUR MONEY, neither the Pastors."
It doesn't survive on it. Giving is so what you can bless yourself. God is only after your heart and soul. There is a fight. PLEASE DONT GIVE WITH THIS SORT OF MINDSET. You won't bear any fruit.
Coming to the daring bishop has, I'm sorry he doesn't need to ask you before he preaches, he speaks what God wants him to speak.
How dare you question him? With what boldness you question a man of God. Don't you know that the bible says," TOUCH NOT MY ANNOINT".
IF YOU DONT LIKE WHAT HE SPEAKS , THE DOOR IS OPEN! BE OUR GUEST :)
I can quote alot of scriptures regarding tithe and how Jesus Preached it, but you aint worth my time!

@@douglaswere5110 *TITHING,* UNDER THE LAW OF MOSES, IN THE OLD TESTAMENT, WAS COMPULORY; *GIVING,* UNDER THE LAW OF CHRIST, IN THE NEW TESTAMENT, IS FROM THE HEART! And I thought you knew the Bible! Saying that Tithing is not in the Law shows that you don't! Every command God ever gave Israel - from Exodus - Deuteronomy - is in the Book of the Law which Israel were to follow. Leviticus 27:30; Deuteronomy 14:22-29 speaks of tithing; there are more!
Abraham's tithe to Melchizedek is referenced in Hebrews 7. It wasn't commanded by God. It was a freewill offering; which as his SPIRITUAL seeds, we were exhorted to follow in the New Testament.
Under the Law, Tithes were paid to the Levites, the Tribe chosen by God as priests to Minister to Israel. Read the Chapter and understand the connection. But Abraham didn't tithed to - or promised God a tenth of his possessions. It was Jacob, Abraham's grandson - later named Israel by God - who promised God a tenth of all that God gives to him.
Jacob became the father of Israel - and so Tithing formed part of the Law under the Ten Commandments. You want to Tithe, then go right ahead, continue with your tithing but don't imply that because Abraham tithe that Christians have to Tithe.
Christians are "followers of Christ!" We were named after Him. Again, Christ did not command Christians to tithe. How many Christians were there in Abraham - Moses day? We, as "Children of God," are to Learn from the Old Testament - and to also Learn from the New Testament - but more importantly to FOLLOW the commands given there by Jesus. I CHALLENGE you to show me ONE command from Christ saying we, as His followers, should Tithe.
Don't you know that the Old Testament is the foundation of the New Testament? Christ referenced from it, regularly, to show the Jews that His teachings was based on it. Therefore, whatever practices He didn't teach in the New is testament that it should remain in the Old. Tithing - a COMPULSORY 10 % - is one of those practices.
The FREEWILL OFFERING - from the HEART - NOT UNDER COMPULSION - was taken from Exodus 25:2; Deuteronomy 16:10;17. These Scriptures are reflected in 1 Corinthians 16:2 and 2 Corinthians 9:7. Chapter 8 speaks of "Liberal Giving," and Chapter 9, of "Sowing Bountifully!" Paul was speaking to the "Church,"* - *followers of Christ - in Corinth. Learning is to be taken, also, from Exodus 15:7: "...not to harden our hearts nor shut our hands from our poor brothers - (and sisters).
And most importantly, do REALIZE and KNOW that unlike the Old Testament - where God was obligating His People - Israel - to obey - and to follow Him, UNDER COMPULSION (so to speak) ; He is doing no such thing in the New Testament! We are FREE from any obligation. He wants our Hearts to be open, FREE to GIVING; not OBLIGATORY TITHING!
If a church worship on Sundays, then that Pastor KNOW that we're not under Law but preaches TITHING because it BENEFITS them! People do not only Read - but UNDERSTAND your Bible - The Word of God!

Tithing was never part of the the New Covenant and never mandated by Jesus nor practiced by the first disciples of Jesus.
Thiis teaching of 'giving to get' is nothing but a manipulation of the Old Testament. Jesus' words very clear in.
Matthew 10:5-8- These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven s at hand.’ Heal the sick, ]cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give."
When Jesus Himself didn't receive offering after His healing, miracle and life transforming meetings, I wonder how the prosperity teaching in His Name is running rampant today?!!
I confess I too am guilty of chasing after 'word of faith' teaching and hence giving more than 25%of my income , I was blind, but now I see that the only way to give God is to do what Jesus said in Matthew 25 :35 onwards!
The Christian religious/church club is one of the biggest businesses in the world and growing in leaps and bounds, thanks to ignorance of our brothers and sisters who keep falling hook, line and sinker for the misinterpretation of The Word.

      Hi Mamatha!
I really appreciate your concern, but do you know that in Matthew 10:5-8 as you mentioned, The final phrase, "Freely you have received; freely give," is a reminder that the disciples had received the power and authority to perform these miracles as a gift from God and they should use it to serve others without expecting anything in return. This whole scripture you have used it completely in a manipulative way. I suggest you study the bible more intuitively taking the help of Holy Spirit.
Secondly do you know even Jesus followed tithing?
In Luke 11:42, Jesus tells the Pharisees that they should have practiced justice and love for God, while also not neglecting the tithe. Again, he does not reject tithing, but rather emphasizes the importance of balance and prioritizing justice and love for God.
Let me tell you one more eye opener, God is not after your money neither is the church. God is after your heart. Who is at the throne of your heart? I hope it's God. if it's God then he said the tithe belongs to him
      Malachi 3:8-9
Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, “How have we robbed you?” In your tithes and contributions. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you.
You must have given 25% of your income but with a grumbling heart maybe. hence you reaped no harvest.
Finally I will conclude point with this, If you are born again, bible calls you seed of Abraham. Do you know that Abraham, even before the existence of Law with no obligation gave his tithe to Melchizedek? Why did he give him with he had no such law or obligation to do so?
      Genesis 14:20
And blessed be God Most High, who has defeated your enemies for you.” Then Abram gave Melchizedek a tenth of all the goods he had recovered.
GOD , THE CHURCH IS NOT AFTER YOUR MONEY!
GOD BLESS YOU WHEN YOU TITHE WITH A RIGHT ATTITUDE.
We are sorry that you might have lost 25% of your income, had you not seen giving as a profit and loss statement and gave with Joy, God would have blessed you!
Nevertheless, we love you and God Bless You Richly!
