Its not that straight forward . As a tomato farmer budget at least 12 000. Anoda drip irrigation . Anoda 35000 litres of water per hour a ha. They are very labour intestive saka you need to employee at least 9 people fulltime and 10 more parttime for harvesting. Then you have storage and transport cost kuyenda kuma markerts. You also need to account for breakages etc. The expected yeild hongu is 100 tonnes but most farmers wont get that if you get 70 percent urikugona

That's very good info from the guy and beautiful work however there is a lot to be done to achieve that.
    1. Soil analysis for pH, nutrients both macro and micro, soil type etc
    2. Climate and weather patterns
    3. Costs involved in irrigation
    4. Market, the Mbare price may not be the one you get from the buyers it could be 60-70% of that.
    5. Financial analysis: the one they did there only spoke of fertilisers and chemicals but there is a lot you still need to consider e.g transport for your visits to the farm, fuel for irrigation or electricity depending on what you use, Trellises, land prep etc
    6. Harvesting
The costs involved in this many people tend to overlook it but it's quite critical.
    7. Irrigation system
Drip can cost you around 3k-4k to establish that's for the kit, borehole drilling, tank, pump etc
Sp with irrigation system, production costs and the etcs you have to have something around $10,000
But also to every farmer learn to manage your expectation otherwise if you don't get what you hoped for you might just quit the whole thing.
Investing $10,000 initial capital and getting $10,000 revenue in the first season is not too bad because you now have an irrigation system established. So don't be too attracted by the 60,000 figure cause dai zvaiitika ka1 dai ma farmers ese ane mari inemumvuri. Its a gradual process and with focus we will all make it.
