The scene with both Waves and Starscream is definitely one hell of a nerdgasm, plus Optimus being visibly scared of Soundwave in the film is so adorable
I really love Soundwave, so even if he doesn't Transform, I'm very happy with the way he looks!

Damn that's pretty. The way the knee and thigh parts move when it bends reminds me of some of the Gundam models I made. Always looks super cool to see separate panels sliding into position. Makes it look just that little bit more real world.
I don't mind he doesn't transform because it's just a hassle to transform them anyways besides I doubt he'd look as great as he does if he did transform
nice review; ThreeZero and other manufacturers such as Hot Toys cater to adult collectors; youngsters would definitely covet such pieces, but, wouldn't handle with care ...
This is what I had in mind when I answered your poll about non transforming Transformers. The Shattered Glass repaint looks spectacular. Soundwave has been on my mind today. I avoided social media to avoid any Loki spoilerswhich caused me to miss the release and preorder.
Man, I don't care what they call their company. Robot Paradise, Fans Toys or Mike Prior is an Asshole, because Acoustic Wave looks amazing. The extra accessories giving options is genius. I personally like the toonish design, but some people think they're going too far.
Anyway, great video! I always look forward to seeing the blue dot by your icon. You bring your figures to life!

I wouldn't say it bothers me that it doesn't transform, but with my limited budget, I always look for the "bang for my buck." I don't get a lot of enjoyment out of posing figures (though, I do want to stress again a "Posing Class"set of visits could sway me).

I'm not sure of the toy is a retool of optimus, but the cgi model definitely was. the cybertron scenes were a super late addition so there was no time to make new models and rigs, so every bot you see there is a retool of optimus or bee (or shatter as well i think)
Yeah it's a retool. Shares the same base skeleton and some of the exposed joints give it away. It's very well handled though, and accurate to the film as Prime's model was used as the basis for him as well as Shockwave. I did a few pics showing some of the shared bits a while back.
I recall, although I'll have to have another gander. Definitely the most extensive retool I have seen in a good long while!
