In the end he came from a scarcity mindset from his time in jail, being deprived and oppressed in his home country, and a massive inferiority complex. We are looking at a trauma victim and narcissist with a fear of reliving past traumas to the point of having no respect for human life, not even his own. Again, amazing character, and great film. But at the end of the day, this is a patient with a personality disorder who is a criminal, who managed to lose EVERYTHING and EVERYONE who mattered to him. Let's use this as entertainment and a cautionary tale...not a role model. None of you would want his end. Even he didn't want his end.
