There is something special about playing orks... you can strategize all you want but things just happen and the game becomes laughter and shock and sometimes the greatest stress reliver available to man due to the endless orky fings just going on. I wish i was back in England, but alas, i am on the mexican border in Arizona - Thank God for dial up, AMIRIGHT?!
Having a Stompa Carreen into the middle board and blow up killing almost everything Blood Angels and Orks alike.
My buddy and me just couldn't stop laughing. I didnt even care he blew up Mephisoton

I don't understand why every "how to start collecting army X" guide isn't "buy a used army someone is selling."
You get vastly superior value compared to anything GW is offering, you generally get a lot of the basic options, lots of it will be prebuilt so you can get onto the table faster, and if you need to you can dismantle, repaint, and kitbash any of it. There may even be some random creative things that give you inspiration.
Yes agreed, getting lucky with a 2nd hand purchase is best value but it's not something you can plan for, it's very lucky to get something that good. I find ebay a bit ropey these days, often get poor build quality or the paint job is poor and it'd been better unpainted.
@@SimplyWarhammer I repaint everything. Usually after stripping it since I'm more in it for the hobby aspect, but knowing that I can run 2k points of random old school daemons I've gotten over time from other lots makes me want to paint them more.
For full armies I've had great success in Facebook marketplace. At least 2k death guard for under $600. Including some plaguebearers, nurglings, and a demon prince that I can run in a hypothetical demon list. LGS's used models I just got today are only 25% off now that I look at it and doesn't have all the spare bits, but my lgs is honestly terrible on pricing.
Its really like this: in 1992, when the black Templars invaded my AD&D feudal world and we converted to an AD&D and 40k hybrid, eventually pure 40k in a AD&D campaign mode of heroes, captains, line soldiers, etc... eventually one of the players would go and get themselves a spouse miniature... The mini got tired of all the time and laughs their Primarch spent with us instead of them and would levy and ultimatum... so the girl or guy would come up to us and say, hey guys, i gotta quit playing for a while... anyone wanna buy my minis... 30 years later, and continuing to play even while deployed and serving in the military for decades, i amassed so many minis that my loving wife bought me a huge 4 x 12 meter workshop to store all my madness... and i still have so many minis in boxes... I ain't selling any of them, i plan to have all my minis buried with me when i pass on so I can play 40k with Jesus!
How do you find stripping models as part of your routine, do you have it working well?

I have too many 40k armies at this point but I kinda wanna 3d print a 2k ork army including 120 boyz.
That's a perfect use for a 3D printer 😁 and there's loads of good ork sculpts, I can recommend Gear Guts Mek Shop ! Lol
I’m new to this - do they have to have specific weapons or could I just use older figures?
Technically in tournaments some expect wysiwyg so the correct weapons, however I've never noticed it, I guess only the top tournament tables care... none of my armies end up with the correct weapons so use what you want 😁 the rule of cool always wins out lol

They take weathering and klan markings really well too 😁
I am new to the game and struggling to understand how I build an army. Is there an online list I can easily see which models are epic heroes? I understand I can only pick one. I know it is listed in the codex at the bottom of the page but there must be an easy to read list online?
Hi, you can have as many epic hero's as you like just one of each individual one though. If you want to see which there are in and easy and free way you can get the app battlescribe. Desktop or mobile and it'll break the faction down for you. Alternatively use the newrecruit website that does the same 😊 good luck 👍

KitbashCarnage hear at the age of 31 iv recently got back into the warhammer/kitbashing community agen after taking 15year brake to pay bills and so on .
I have taken the leap head on and started a youtube channel along with Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok. It's hard with this algorithm thing is somthing to get used to along with editing and so on but my love and the flame for my lost passion has been reignited more then ever and dont plan on stopping soon .
Along with having lots of content plans and already in the pipeline and also a Revamp to all social media with new header picture and profile picture from a digital contractor I sorced I hope to just gain more traction to the community iv came back to 🔥

WELL ME SORRY I stared in FIST edd my orks and got lot of the older models and kits old metel bikes the fist battle wagon and other ones but if cant do as did or go baxck in time yes what says in vid will be best me as older player the two i go fore is the gocaknight and the stompa box set yes its PAIN in but to do but two of em shud be fun and like do a new battle wagon with a roller in frunt shud be fun
