The Story of My Scars (Bon Jovi Film)

This film was made for my Zen & the Art of Filmmaking class in Spring of 2022. The prompt for this film was to create a self-portrait of myself and to “not be afraid to show myself”.
The approach to this film reflected the “48-Hour Film Festival” model, in that I had 48 hours to come up with an idea, shoot, and edit it.
I honestly think I was waiting years for an opportunity to match up the lyrics, “Well you know that I've been through it, I've got the scars that prove it” from the Bon Jovi song “Stick to Your Guns” with a video of my heart surgery scar. Thanks to this film, I finally got to do that.
