I got mine in yesterday. I can’t wait to try them out! Been running the Rc4wd Bfg Mtr on my jeep and they are decent but the hyrax are my favorite tire on my 10th scale trucks so I hope they are as good.
I'll have to change the scx24 tires right now and rock crawling outdoors.

Right on. Tiny crawler content is tough since have to do all that tiny wrenching on the trail.
I bought hyrax tires and aluminum and brass wheels for my first scx24 before I even got it…
I had seen one crawl with stock tires and it was definitely the weak point of the truck.
I have been using it almost everyday since (and tried lots of other tires too) and they are still my favourite for most surfaces except a few ones.
I have the red deadbolt I have put wheel bearing grease inside the shock bodies as you suggested. I also moved the shock mount near the chassis rail and screwed them into the body post holes. The front don’t look cool as they angle forward but does not prevent them from working. It lowers the rig 4-5mm and DRAMATICALLY is controlled now. All I need is those tires.

@@RCReviewChannel all of their x2s3 tires should be the best- which will perform the best will depend on the size of tire you can clear and which tire stiffness matches your rig weight- as the different rc4wd x2s3 tires very in stiffness due simply to design
@@RCReviewChannel imo the rock creepers seem to be all around the best for crawling and trailing. Honestly not sure tho. Just my opinion. Works good on Pennsylvania rocks. Lol. 😁

This was exactly what I expected. My 1.9 Hyrax out- perform every other tire I have, so its time to get them for my 24s
These delivered for sure. This design seems ideal for tiny tires it seems since there's not a lot of real estate for knobs.
@@RCReviewChannel, what's impressive to me is we are used to weight. My trx4 bronco (2021) with the notch and sipe mod to the casson trails did well, very well, but with Hyrax predator, its completely different. That being said, the fact that the Hyrax can distort and grab on such a light vehicle makes me think they are incredibly soft!
Hyrax are over rated in my Opinion & don't look scale whatsoever.. I do a lot of Crawling & a lot of Testing & I smoke guys running Hyrax all the time with my BFG Krawlers & my Pitbull Rockbeast 👍🏼... my personal experience...
I still wish I had a place to crawl like that haha. Seems like such a good spot for these 1/24's.
I found the best tires for these trucks after buying so many, boomracing black compound hustler and boom racing aggressor black compound!!! By FAR better than any other and the hyrax is right there with them. The boom racing tires come in different compounds and sizes for each tire. They arethe softest of all withthe black compound. I truly wish that you would review them. I have a massive home built diorama course that includes fake grass, spray foam with added rubber dust and textured paint, real rocks and many wooden bridges. I would loveto share the pictures with you butidont know how on here. Maybe by email or something please let me know 😁
Were you not aware of all the other 1" tires available? Lol... -- RC4WD 1" Patagonias are hard to beat. Also a big fan of their 1" BFG KR3. Mudslingers and Scramblers if you can fit the tall height are killer. Powerhobby Swamps and Yeah Racing Claws as well. Lots to compare!! I'm a tire junky. (Pitbull 1" tires soon...) --- Great comparison BTW on the side by side shots! loved that.
I’m a huge fan of the Patagonia’s I have them on my gen8 , never tried them on a mini crawler cause I don’t have one but I love them man.
I put the patagonias on my scx24 and i love that damn tire i like the falken wild peaks too and the goodyear wranglers
the hyrax have more grip than the mt/rs from RC4WD that are the same compound as those.
I have about 10 sets. All marginal including some rc4wd. I’ll check into your recommendations
Go with a long wheel base set up, I prefer the deadbolt, but my RC4WD tires were a bit taller than stock, and definitely put my rig over the top when it comes to performance. I wouldn't want to go to anything smaller diameter. My rig has been comping on the rocks for a while.
After watching this video I order a set of the Hyrax tires and wheels. They are very good. I have been running vented CR-18 Grabber M/T tires on Losi Trekker bead locks with saw cut foam. I also cut off ever other outer lug inside and side of the tire. I am running a modified Dead Bolt with a droop suspension with rear laid down shocks. Barrage motor. Diff & wheel weights with hide clearance strut arms. They only thing the Hyrax out preforms on is my indoor wood coarse on a 47 degree popsicle stick climb I can stop and start Easter with the Hyrax with out any slip. My modified Grabber with slip a little. I believe my Grabber perform better on our outside coarse on dirt, sand a large wood obstacles, have to give slight edge to the Hyrax on large rocks.

Having used both for awhile, the Hyrax seem to have a bit more traction than the RC4WD super soft sticky compound MT/R's...

These are an incredible deal since they come with plastic beadlocks. I went with the LGRC MT tires for their size, but I may pick these up to try out.
Beadlocks on this are cool. It opens up the option to add weight in the wheel.

I wish Proline would of went a little wider track on the Hyrax for stability, I love all my RC4WD tires tho, there leaps n bounds better than anything stock especially if you get there stickiest compound... Frances you mentioned the jeep being the best Performer stock wise, here's my assessment on that - all three have the same wheelbase within .5mm
2) The Deadbolt has 10mm shorter links up front and 10mm longer links in the rear.
3) The Jeep and the C10 have an ESC/RX mount that is lower than the deadbolt by a only few mm.
Me Personally, of the three and keeping the stock chassis, I like the Deadbolt the best for straight up Performance simply because everything is shifted forward by 10mm and you can get the CoG very low with just a few parts...
as far as stock bodies go I much prefer that of the Jeep & C-10 any day over the Deadbolt. but either way bodies are a non factor for me since I prefer to build model hardbodys for mine.... Great Vid as always... 🤘🏼
Wondering if you could, as some others have pointed out, compare to actual decent tires (stock are pretty meh). Patagonia's are acknowledged as some of the best, but the Goodyears are still a long standing solid tire as are the Falkens. Injora is also releasing some pretty decent tires. I love how in depth your testing is, just wish it compared more apples to apples. Would also be curious about the newer PitBull options and how foams and venting are affecting all of this.
I only just saw these, currently run patagonias which seem to be the best by far (without going to scramblers/slingers etc).
I have a Betty and AC10I have upgraded the C10A whole bunch I'm still gonna probably go with the camoto and the furry Tech with the Betty with bone stock except for some little tiny hackswates and it seemed to be out of the Box one of the best compared to the other 2 I've had to Jeep in the sea tanning out of the Box the bed is just out performing it maybe because of the wheels and maybe because of the center of gravity and everything else but I really liked it

You should check out RC4WD Rock Creeper tires, they are a little smaller and scale looking but also I would bet you all the kings horses that they out preform those proline hyrax tires on any obstacle.. If you buy and review a set of the Rock Creeper 1.0 tires I promise you will not be disappointed 🤘🏼😄

I am a big fan of my rc4wd I have all there 1.0 tires except the mud badgers. I also have a set of LGRP and Injora’s. JConcept is coming out with a set!
I have both and I agree the Rock Creepers are very good. They seem about equivalent indoors; I've yet to try them on rocks.

Weird, I found the stock wheels had way too soft of a sidewall. They’re vented so a rig with any weight on it deforms them quite a bit compared to something like rc4wd… that said the width of the tire is what really ruins it, most of my tires are like 2x as wide as stock. One thing I can say is the stock tires are crazy good on smooth surfaces for some reason
Aww man shoulda included the footage when the stock tires failed! That’s where the true differences are on display, the final dirt hill would’ve been a cool comparison as well 🥲

been using vented and foamed Baja Claws in 1.0 size on 1/24th crawlers and always amazed by their grip. I know how good the Predator Hyrax are in 1/10th so I shall have to try them in 1/24th...looking good

Patagonia tires have been available for a long time. They are just as good. (I have the Hyrax as well).
RC4WD has plenty of great tires. If you haven't had good tires on your SCX24 it is your own fault.
Comparing Hyrax to stock is useless. Of course they are better. A good comparison would have been against Patagonia tires.
I am not afraid to say if I don't like a product on my channel. Then again I will never be in bed with a manufacturer.
I tested several stock and aftermarket tires head to head in the same video. Hyrax did about the same as RC4WD tires. They would probably be even better if the tire rubber wasn't so hard.
I was also the first to tell the truth about the Tetra 24. It wasn't good. - In my opinion.

I would've rather seen Trenchers in 1.0 since they out perform Hyrax. At the last 24 hour Enduro, everyone only ran Hyrax and Trenchers and the Trenchers were the tires to use.

DUDE! I just had a big brain moment. Hear me out and i beg you make a comparison video about this. Ok since you have the scx24 and the proline tires and lets say some samix aluminum/brass wheels with scale hubs and metal axels with the brass knuckles and diff covers. (Thats what i have at least) What else could you do to lower the cg even more. WATER! remove the foams and just add water just up to the bottom lip of the tire. A wheel ballast you might call it. Im trying this but dang this would be a very. Clicked on video. And i must watch. Please!

In my opinion your driving two different tires two different styles until you do same line Same rpm. You can say what ever you want. But your test was kinda lame. You don’t like stock tires thats obvious. I can. Tell you from my experience a lot of the time it’s the driver ,crawling. ls some what similar to a game like chess in the fact for one you gota know what your doing an each move or line is a diffent stradegy that doesn’t always work out the same as chess yet there is a stradegy. Add a little skill which doesn’t come over nite. Then you can take on anything. On top of that mods that you make make a huge diffence cause now you have experience. Experience is what pays I’ll take you on any day buddy an you won’t like me lol.
