Stellate Ganglion Block - How and Why - Ultrasound-Guided Technique and Outcome

Stellate Ganglion Blocks are delicate procedures near many critical structures, and they can be beneficial for a wide variety of conditions, including chronic pain, spasticity, neuralgia, anxiety, PTSD, headache, vasospasm, Raynaud's phenomenon, hyperhydrosis, phantom limb pain, complex regional pain syndrome, and many other conditions. Here I show an example of an ultrasound-guided approach for a lateral stellate ganglion block in a patient with chronic spasticity and pain. Ultrasound-guided procedures enable better visualization and targeting of soft tissue structures while also avoiding adjacent critical structures!
