Nah if have to disagree there my 79 w900 Kenworth and 08 Kenworth t408 have both done 3million kilometres without a rebuild or any major issues just a few tweaks here and there and could kick the r model Mack's ass all day long without breaking a sweat 😆
@@connornutsford4776 Cope harder, I see more R models in piss poor condition still doing every day loads and getting it done. Any old FuKenworthless I see are show trucks.
Good ole R model what year is it I drive a 88 R model tandem dump 285 with a 12 spd gear box that seems to be a 5 spd by the looks of the shifter unless it’s a mud stick 6spd 300 Mack engine????
@@AppalachianRust Definitely smoother ride I drove a dm 685sx tin nose 20,000 pound steer 65,000 rears on both and a dm 886sx I love them these Mack’s ain’t nothing like them at all they can keep all these new trucks along with the def egr computers all plastic trash
Get yourself a spray bottle and put fuel in it and spray those ratchet binders and they’ll work smooth as greased lightning and stay like that a long time 😉
We’ve got two komatsu dozers close in size that have 6 way blades. They are a late 90s or early 2000 model I’m not sure right off. Parts for the Allis Chalmers are almost nonexistent now. We’ve got a bone yard behind the shop though.
I was going to say a 6 speed. But after watching I can see it's a 5 speed. Takes some patience to shift one of those transmissions after you come out another truck with a 10 or 13 speed. It has been a long time since I drove that R600 one stack Mack with the window out the back with the single stick 5. Nice vid and be safe out there.
@@DoriClement-fe6tjBelieve me they are in no rush to shift those 5 speed gear boxes unless you bump the Jake then you can slide it in quicker that’s what I do a little harder with the Mack dynatard very sensitive will stall an engine quick with the dynatard
I hear ya. I’ll do a little of everything just testing the waters. Been running this stuff for years and decided I’d show the old stuff still working. Thanks for watching
Best truck ever built hands down imo
I totally agree nothing like a R Model Mack Truck

@@crazymixture57 King comment but both good, never see a KW daycab tractor. all are usually 790,000 dollars for no reason
Keep the videos coming my new friend , beautiful old Mack ♥️🍺😎
Glad to find your channel from Australii, just subscribed to see my favourite R Mods etc.
Much appreciated. Glad to have you along.
Great video love the old Mack R model's big fan of the old Macks thanks for sharing 😎👍👌
You bet!
I like all trucks been a driver since I was 19 and still love to drive. My frist truck was a Dimond t mack twin stick.
Say what they say, one of the best trucks ever made ✅
In my country, Venezuela, you can find Mack R model everywhere, still working daily from side to side of the country!
They keep going without complaining that’s for sure
Now you have done it ! You went and made me have a Big Mack attack. I'm guessing around a 1977 or 78 R-700 300 plus 5-speed Maxitork trans.
It’s actually around an 87 r600. It does have a 300 with a 5 speed.
Mack Attack!👍😎
Nice to see another Mack hard at work!!
Love to ride with you...liked it better if the music was a little quieter.
Thank you. Check out some of the later videos. Less music
Bellissimo 😍😍😍😍😍my life i lke so much
Great video sir. 5 spd? My dad taught me to drive big trux on a red 5 spd Mack, 285 Maxidyne. Love u dad.
Thank you yeah its a 5 speed, with a 300
Soon as the vid started I went back to 12 and 2100. Never forget where I come from

I believe it’s a 87. It’s got a 300 and 5 speed. Rides like a Cadillac compared to the DM I drive

V8 Maxidyne....Good operator.
This is an R600… but I’ll have a vid of a R700 Dump waking up after a 10 + year sleep
Эххххх братишка жаль что видео не до конца я тоже 👍
Black smoke means your making money 💰
Will you ever graduate into a somewhat new dozer , If parts become almost impossible to find so you can keep the old one running ?

How many speeds on that Mack tractor?
It’s a 5 speed. There is another R model with a 9 speed, but it needs some work.
