Oh Chef Tracy... as a nurse you have no idea what little things like that will do for our morale. The few times I’ve had people surprise our unit with treats, it made us all feel like what we did mattered and gave us the strength to dig deeper and pull miracles out of hats. Your contributions indirectly helped to save lives and you had no idea.
Hahaha, when she said "I know I'm not saving any lives," my first reaction was "Wanna bet!?"
I love it how chef Frank uses his platform to elevate other people. Always the best. Plus, fabulous donuts, of course. Keep rocking, both of you! Much love from the Netherlands.
I love when Chef Tracy comes to visit. She's SUCH an amazing teacher!
"I never like to surprise my dough"; words to live by!
My mom always made fried cake donuts on the first day of school. Every now and then shed make me yeast donuts. That I'd eat until I exploded. Nothings better than homemade donuts! 🤣
She'd*
@@TheMrCC21 that's not how you spell jerk..
I'd totally buy a get it everywhere shirt
Yes!
Two great chefs making the best dessert! Frank I just got a Dutch oven for my birthday and I can’t wait to use it, you and everyone in 4 levels inspired me to be a better cook 🤗
Your video brought a smile to my face after a long day. Thank you Chef Frank.
Great episode I loved chef Tracy!!
Frank: you don't have to get violent with it
Also Frank: pokes it like he's taking a lifetime of frustration out on it😂
Edit: I'd buy that shirt
#JustGetItEVERYWHERE!!! I'd totally buy that shirt!!! 💜💜💜
I'd also pay good money to see Chef Frank wearing that shirt while belting out "Let it Go!" like Elsa in Frozen!!! 💜💜💜
Just a couple suggestions for the next doughnut video. 💜😂💜
Thanks for the amazing cooking videos Frank! Looking forward for future videos!
The dough in mixer be like : HELLPPPP I DONT WANT TO BE MIXEDDDD
Love how this cookbook came to be!!! What a Sweet idea!
I've been thinking we need a shirt with a bunch of Chef Frank-isms ... "Just get it everywhere"/"Make sure you get it everywhere", "I control the salt", etc... and a star wars spoon on it too.
Thanks for coming over.
I would buy a kitchen apron saying "Get it everwhere!" and then get my shirt under the apron dirty😂
Hi, Chef Tracy, nice to see you again. Congratulations on you new book.
I would buy a shirt saying, get it everywhere
An apron with "Make Sure To Get it Everywhere" would be even more appropriate .
@@lindafreeman7030 this is true
One of my closest friends just loves donuts and i can't wait to make this for her. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe with us, Chef Frank and Chef Tracy !
omg.... ive wanted to make donuts this is amazing! thanks chefs :)
You make baking look so easy! I'm not great at baking (especially bready things that need to rise) but I would really like to try my hand at these!
I'm gonna make them, Proto I love you with all my heart, cause your recipes helped me get my girl back, I cooked something brilliant like pastas and it has been extremely healthy for me as well
Love ProtoCooks, would you please make an episode about lamb recipes. Thank you for your videos
These are like a gourmet version of the ones my grandma used to make. So these would make me gourmet fat I guess. Worth it!
They were delicious!
I love donuts. It's also our family logo and I just got a galatic donut tattoo a week ago 💖💖
Get it everywhere
"Just get it everywhere" would be great on a shirt
I will make it happen eventually
Amazing! Looks beautiful 😍
you're both great! also the merch is looking good!
I know how Spiderman feels now. If knowledge is power, knowing how to make donuts feels like too much responsibility for me lol
:D there is a power to responsibility ratio
I needed this
Chef Tracy
Amazing video chef!!!
"Get it Everywhere" FTW!
Chef Tracy, I love your shirt
Yo WHAT A CHEF!!!!
I volunteer to be the judge of the donut-off!
I’ll keep that in mind
During the 2020 spring peak, which was the very worst here in Northern Italy and one of the worldwide absolute worst, I kept hearing sirens too. Despite being in a less affected area of Lombardy, I am close enough to a couple hospitals to hear the sirens up to three times an hour. A friend who lives right on the main route between 6 different hospitals heard them at times every five minutes. It was really tough, for months afterwards I felt bad each and every time I heard a siren. (Then I got Covid in the fall, and now I am waiting for my turn to book a shot, which should be in some ten days.)
what I learned from this video: we get it everywhere
Get it everywhere, wink wink, nudge nudge. Say no more, say no more!
great vid
Need to try and make this with an egg substitute (I'm allergic :( ). Hope it turns out the same way!
Other channels: moves things perfectly and with frail movement.
Chef Frank: We are Spartans of the cuisine, ye chef? 8:56
Chef Tracy: Yes, Just get it everywhere.
Chef Frank: Just get it everywhere.
Product perfection over grace, but when you perfect and master of the production grace is a plus.
Again Get it everywhere is a fun process to learn it to mastery. 😄
Spartans of the cuisine.
Chef Frank new logo.
Commission the shirt design somewhere in fiver chef Frank.
An majestic Spartan chef with letters just get it everywhere.
And of course a more sutile unisex Just get it everywhere may appeal.
Fun episode wish you the best. 🤗
For those who don’t have a dough mixer-any recommendation on how to make the dough?
You can do this by hand. Knead the dough until it comes together then knead the butter in
What kind of oil did you fry in? Soy, canola?
Vegetable
Second, at least and a humongous fan of yours Frank, whenever I don't see you in the videos of epicurious, hope I spelled it right, I get upset, that where is Frank
How important is unsalted butter vs salted butter, I only ever buy salted butter would it be ok to use that or should I run to the store to get the unsalted?
You can use salted. Just cut salt in the recipe by half
@@ProtoCookswithChefFrank thanks Chef :)
With the left over dough, can you re-roll it at that time and make more donuts out of it or not?
You could. I used it to make cinnamon rolls
@@ProtoCookswithChefFrank Good to know, thank you so much!
is it ok to use normal bakers yeast?
Yes it is fine
When are we gonna see aidan again WE WANT HIM
I’ll have to see what he wants to make next.
@@ProtoCookswithChefFrank We should do bread
@@aidancrino413 🙌 yes
What should be the oil temperature?
350 F/177 C
Every weather is doughnut weather...
These shirt designs sell themselves.
Are the recipies in grams in the book?
Yes
@@ProtoCookswithChefFrank thank you
Donuts?! I do NOT need to know how to make these....this could be dangerous.
1v1 donut battle, each chef make 3 donuts and give it to 3 judges, those judges doesn't know who made which one, and they will choose they 3 favorite donuts
Why do I always fail at this? After 20 minutes of kneading, the dough is sticky and hasn't cleaned the sides. Is there anything I can do to save this? I'd hate to throw this out.
A touch more flour. A teaspoonful at a time
@@ProtoCookswithChefFrank Thanks!
Dip one of those oily carb rings into some granulated sugar and marvel in the decadence. mmmm
Chef frank how to make homemade burger bun
Great idea. I’ll have to work on that.
For someone to say these donuts remind them of Krispy Kreme _as a slam_ just means they're anti-angels, because that's what Krispy Kreme's are, the angels of the donut world. Esp when warm. If you can afford to live in NYC and not get a regular paycheck, well, you're better off than most of the rest of us. I'm not mad at ya', just sayin'. I live in TX, we're open for business and back online.
Tracy took it as a compliment not a slam.
@@ProtoCookswithChefFrank Indeed, I heard her so say, which is of course the right way to handle it. I'm just more dismayed that someone would say it as a slam. But oh well.
I agree
EARLY!!!
FIRST!!
Imagine "first"ing in 2021.
no thanks.
