Uncle Greg has to tell his niece, Lori, a bedtime story but doesn't know any of the traditional ones. He uses his knowledge of movies, in this case, "", to deliver. His misremembering and interpretation of events seem to twist the story into parody. Lacking any form of parental skills, he fumbles through the movie forgetting sometimes that he is telling this to a child.

This, Failure To Launch and Friends With Benefits are the only 3 romcoms I can stomach. They’re fun and don’t really insult your intelligence while watching them.

I think it’s also because all three do a decent job of showing both sides of the relationship whereas most romcoms focus on just the woman as the main character. Those movies understood that men were going to watch them too and made them feel included in a genre that they typically feel excluded in.
