What did you think of this season of Big Little Lies? What were your favorite show moments? Be sure to let us know all your thoughts below!
Most definitely majority of Renata's scenes you missed out here c'mon now
We need a season 3
Complete rubbish
I love it so much
Renata destroying her husbands toys. She’s a ICON.
So good scene
such a satisfying scene, i mean, the man bankrupted his family, lost all the money, money renata earned, not him, fucked the nanny and still after all, even after renata was willing to move past all of it, the man wanted to keep his toys, he had the balls to expect his life to remain intact while renata's and amabella's fell apart
A total bad ass
an*
an*
"I will not not be rich"Renata Klein being an icon through whole season 2
Was she not iconic through this season 2?
She was a highlight of s2
@@querayne6788 I SAID THANK YOUUUUU
Agreed
@@querayne6788 yes they missed that boat
Jane realising that Perry was her rapist was the most shocking scene in tv EVER
Have you seen Game of Thrones?
I knew it was Perry from the beginning.
@@gbasar1032 Not from the beginning but it started to get suspicious those characters never meet and it was kinda obvious with the phisical resemblance with the Saint Luis Guy. and also, it was even more obvious that one of his kids was the abusive.
@@revolcona no. I knew it was Perry from the first episode itself. I hav read all the books of Sidney Sheldon and Agatha Christie so I am very good at guessing. Did u read MURDER OF ROGER ACKRYOD?? In this book later it turns out that the narrator himself is the murderer. And I knew it was him, even though he was the hero and we were seeing the story from his perspective.
I red the book beford watching and I guessed it.
My favorite moment was Renata's photoshoot and her lip synching "It's my house and I live here"
It's one of my fav song since that scene. Especially when I clean my house 😂
Oh YESSS
What about Renata screaming will someone give a woman a moment is just classic.
It was the funniest, most hilarious scene. 😄
loveshell007 I couldn’t have agreed more. I mean I know she had every right to be angry at her husband and we shouldn’t laugh , but her reactions when she’s angry are the funniest thing ever
I would add: Perry finding out that Celeste was planning to leave him because the real state agent called.... OMG I swore she was going to get killed
IKR I was sweating and nervous asf when they're in the car
Is this when they were in the car outside the school? the night of the party
@@davidarjon2551 moments before, when Celeste comes downstairs after saying goodbye to the twins, and Perry receives her with the "news" that the real state agent called. Then they get to the car, etc.
Zoë Kravitz was a little underutilized in season 1 so to see her go through such a dynamic shift after Perry's death was powerful and beautifully executed. Her scene with her mom in a coma was about to make me cry.
Literally every single one of the Monterey 5 (And Meryl) can win the Awards for this second season.
Gabriel Ferreira true
Yes ! I honestly don't understand why this show isn't more major !
A few scenes I loved not mentioned here: Celeste confronting Perry about Max in the car, therapist telling Celeste she needs to get an apartment, Renata yelling "I said thank yooouuuu!", when Celeste sees the video the boys took of the abuse, Jane finally getting the truth from Ziggy.
The video the boys took..that stands out for me
When Ziggy finally told the truth about the bullying I instantly knew it was because they we’re emulating their fathers abuse 😣
Ed's reaction to finding out about Madeline's affair was heartbreaking. I think the writers, along with Adam Scott's brilliant performance did a great job of showing his struggle to either stay with Madeline or leave. And renewing their vows actually felt realistic and not rushed.
I will not not be rich
SHE WAS A MOOD THE WHOLE SEASON
Pretty much every scene with Renata = iconic. One of my faves was when she was getting coffee and telling them how to make an Americano, then Mary Louise shows up and Renata yells at her then when she leaves without her coffee, Mary Louise is like "I'll take it to her, we're going to the same place" lol 🤣🤣🤣
You judgy judger!!
For me it was when Celeste played the video her sons took of her husband beating the shit out of her at the trial. That was brutal, especially for his mom.
Honestly I didn’t think it needed a season 2 but I am so glad it did!! Such spectacular writing and acting
I wish they gave Shailene more material in season 2,she is such a good actress and they didnt use her nearly as much as they should have.
Edin Masic then again I’m glad zoë got more material this season! I was dissapointed in season one but this season made up for it
@@Lgrftgf yes!zoe was so so good I am so glad she is getting recognized more and more.
For me Shailene had More material in season 1 This season she didn't stand out which Is a bommer she Is a fantastic actress
@@Lgrftgf Hateeeeeeddddd Zoe's character in season 2. Bogged down the whole show. I was like shhhh, you're taking screen time away from Nicole and Laura
Jonathan Fitzharris okay guy with a shirtless pic on youtube....
Nicole Kidman almost slapped the wig off Meryl Streep’s head and I will never forget 😂😂😂
Haha yes, it looked so real!
1.meryl streep being slapped
2.meryl streep screamed
3.meryl streep court scene
4.EVERYTHING WITH MERYL STREEP ON
No
Notwen 97 i can relate to this on a whole other level😂
Calm down
Notwen 97 can’t agree more! The woman is Amazing!
I think you spelled Nicole Kidman incorrectly
I need a top for only Renata's moments. What an icon
Laura Dern is definitely getting another EMMY. The whole time I was like PLEASE PICKUP ONE OF THOSE BATS AND START SWINGING!!! I love me some Meryl Streep and she is so damn good that she made me hate her as Mary Louise. I wish we would get closure to the series cuz it ended the way it did. But it went out like the boss show it was. Love the Monterrey Five. Xoxo ladies.
I don't think I've ever seen her play a "villain." I mean Devil Wears Prada she was a villain we rooted for. If she wasn't going against Celeste who we developed protective feeling for from S1, I wouldn't have felt so conflicted about her character. Then it's a conflict between loving Meryl and not liking Mary Louise. such a great actress.
No Renata moments? Renata Klein was the badass in the show. She deserves her own list.
literally EVERY scene with reese witherspoon, i adored her in this role and she is such an incredible actress and delivered every line with such spitfire. i feel like she’s not as appreciated for how AMAZING she was as madeline
Renata is THE best and the most iconic character in this show. She’s consistently a whole mood!!!!
I just want Jane to be happy 🥺
Awwww me to
I would argue that perry finding out about celeste’s plan to move in the season finale is #2 or maybe even #1. It perfectly encapsulates all of Celeste's fears coming to a point. I’m upset it isn’t on this list at all.
Mary Louise yelling out her grief at the dinner table was more shocking to me than being slapped.
Renata with a baseball bat is a whole big mood !!
When Renata's maid said her husband owed her a hundred something thousand for "stress relief " 🤭😆
Sydney Prescott nanny
@@misosoupsoul6583 Same difference.
180 maids and nanny’s have different job focuses
@@misosoupsoul6583 o ok, gottcha
That pissed me off...so actually Renata worked her ass off and had to pay the nanny for fucking her husband...I absolutely despised her husband..he was a self centered bully of a man also.
The Court scenes were soooo intense
Nicole slapping Meryl, that was monumental, i never thought in my life i would see one Meryl Streep being slapped that way, ovbiously its a fake slap, but somehow, with a great control of force from Nicole and a brilliant editing, it feels totally real and emotionaly intense.
and ed is my fav character
Same!
When Celeste play the tape at court... !!!
Laura Dern better cop an Emmy for her performance this season and that's that on that.
How the fu#$% are they gonna decide between Mary Louise and Renata, for God's sake! 2020 awards are shaking since now
meryl vs. nicole in those court scenes was my superbowl
The most unbelievable part, is the fact that they would all agree to lie about an absolute accident which occurred during self defense.
Right and with Celeste being a lawyer, she should have known this would have been a easy case to win.
@@Shalayah2010 technically bonnie wasn't the one getting hurt
They taken it from the book it’s slightly different there as the husband were also present. But in both scenarios Bonnie pushed Perry because she was going to hurt someone. Here down the stairs there over the balcony. It would have with a good lawyer come under self defence. But if I remember correctly that was one point Ed made and couldn’t get over in book, he was pushed and we all just lied about it.
@@borithban6454 it doesn't matter . Self defense includes helping others
Renata destroying the toys was what I needed after that court scene
The worst thing about this show is that we may not see another season to tie up all the lose ends they made. What an epic production it's been!
I'm ok with the open ending. Season 2 was season 1 aftermath (but much more brilliant than the 1st one to me). Who needs a season 3 aftermath of season's 2 aftermath... ?
@@milocassadine223 I need to know what happened after they confessed
@@sakura834in the book says that Bonnie got 200 hours of community service for Perry’s death and that was it I remember there was something else about Jane but I don’t remember right now
What an extraordinary show this has been! I ordered HBO just to watch season 2. It is so well written, atmospheric, with the nuances speaking volumes, and kudos to Vallee's direction. There is nary a wasted moment in any episode, as the dialogue and interaction builds on each other with intensity and just pulls you in. I sat there watching Season 2 Episode 2 and was blown away watching these characters deal with the new revelations and relationships they now had with each other, especially the children, it was just so well crafted!!
Renata is so awesome. My favourite!
"I SAID THANK YOUUUUUUUUU!!"😂😂
I knew Perry was the rapist in episode 2. Every time that Perry is in screen they show his shoes, when Jane remembers, they always show the shoes of the guy leaving. They don’t waste screen time in shoes
Meryl streep is the acting god, i love her so muchhhh, give her the forth oscar
She will be nominated for Emmy. Not Oscars. But she will win no matter what
No Oscar for Tv bro
There are the Emmys tho and the Golden Globes
She was SO good. The mere escence of the character was SO distasteful and annoying. She acted over acting like damn she created AURA that was annoying. All in microscopic gestures like glances. Damn one glance made me hate the character and looove Meryl even more
Zoe Kravitz is STUPID underrated as an actor. I love her so much 💙
Renata deserves an award for her performance this season
Why is this show so underrated tho? This is one of the best shows out there!
It’s considered to be one of the best shows of the 2010s.
I've ALWAYS loved this show. It's my favorite. And these scenes really are unforgettable! 🖤
I need season 3
Yes!!! Me too!
yasss :(
I like Ed . Am I alone in this ?
slavin manov no I love ed
Nope! He’s my one of my favorites
That Elvis performance!
Ed was my favorite male on the show..I really liked the actor that portrayed him.
All scenes. I’m rewatching already.
The girls fighting for each other while they stand against the men that are trying to bring them down is iconic
For me, the best parts in season1 were the comments from the Monterey people while they were being questioned, and Renata Klein had season 2 all to herself
Love the series!
I think there were more iconic scenes like the Mary Louise's scream on S2E1,when Celeste slapped Mary Louise, when Renata found out Gordon cheated on her with the nanny and put a bunch of kleenex on his mouth, and some others
Agree especially the kleenex one
Renata being iconic for two seasons staight.
great show and great video
Renata destroying everything should have been #1
Celeste and Perry scenes are my favorites.
Perry was so good at playing an abuser I almost felt kind of triggered. I guess that’s when you know the acting is good!
I know this moment is not remember for many people, but in season 1 episode 5 when Celeste was with the psicologist and she tells Celeste that they should make an appointment because he going to hit her again. Is just cause gouse bumps.
The therapy scenes were so good.
I saw that too. Had similar reaction. Really powerful and true.
Nicole should win for Best Actress in a Leading Role
and Laura Dern for Supporting
Sorry, Meryl but Renata Klein was ICONIC
how could you forget the court scene where celeste showed mary louise the video of perry beating the shit out of her?
That scene was so good
Gave me chills!
Renata is just under as much stress as Celeste through out the 2 seasons. But her way of expressing it is on the complete opposite spectrum lol
Understandable considering Celeste’s stress was something that had been building up for much longer and was rooted in immense trauma
I will be mad if there's no season 3, this show is way too good to come to an end.
But what else is there to touch on.. most of the storylines are wrapped up
The lack of Renata and Mary Louise on this video is insulting
I found it a bit unbelievable that Celeste would not have learned to be more cautious when speaking to Perry about topics she'd learned had infuriated him in the past, that caused him to beat her. In her shoes, a woman quickly learns to hide those subjects or at least downplay them (her work as a lawyer or anything regarding their children's school functions).
Everyone is so good in this show but those were a few of my favorites moments there is also Ed giving a second chance for Madeline and Ziggy talking to Jane about her boyfriend and how Ziggy liked him and he made her happy and she liked him too, seeing his concern for her happyness was a sweet moment. Also Reneta is the BOSS she is so freaking cool, I wanted to smash stuff too and I thought she was really going to hit him but not doing so was so mugh better.
Renata bashing ******* stuff with a bat was so iconic and easily became one of my favorite moments in the whole show. There is a reason Renata is my favorite.
Meryl using her cross necklace inventively was unforgettable insane to watch
Love the show.Expecially when Meryl Streep joined the cast in season two...Hope there will be season 3..
The moment in the courtroom where Nicole Kidman’s Aussie accent was in full swing
This show just took years off of my lifespan... 😭 that's how imprinted the storyline is to my brain. Every single detail.
I miss this show already. So sad season 3 is no longer happening. I feel so bad for Bonnie. She was abused as a child, thats why she accidentally killed an evil person. She suffered with guilt throughout the season, plus her mom died. I wanna give her a hug.
Can anyone please explain that ending to me? It was so ridiculous. So Bonnie is going to confess to the crime. Alright but that would also put all the others at fault too because they lied to the authorities.
Maliha Intikhab They all came to confess at the end, not just Bonnie.
Bonnie couldn't deal with her guilt and they came to support. Any or all of them could get convicted but the point is that they stood together.
@@andrewthezeppo I think that Bonnie confessed and said she did it and the others had nothing to do with it. I remember they said that the person who came forward would not be punished so this way none of them would be punished.
Read the book.
Renata i adore her 😂
To me one of the most intense moments is when Mary Louise tells Celeste that her kids told her Ziggy is their brother , then Madeline finds out Chloe is the one who told Ziggy , and then Jane asks Ziggy what Chloe said to him.
I actually hated what they did with Renata's marriage. In the first season it's the one strong, supportive and healthy marriage, and then season 2 just wrecked that so none of them were really healthy.
(Yes, I know that's in the book that he's a cheater. But they didn't have to do it! They changed tons of other stuff!)
Perry's death could be manslaughter at worst. I would argue it was clearly a case of defending someone from a violent attack and necessary force was used to stop it.
When Celeste pushed her kid,god i was so proud, that she's not allowing her kids to grow up to be like Perry
Shocking scene for me was the video boys took. And everything on court.
If only Madeline throwing ice-cream on Mary Louise was not cut off. That would have been an epic scene.
Celeste (Nicole Kidman) was serving looks the whole time! We love to see it!
I Don't even watch this show. How'd I get here?
You definitely should watch it 😋😋
LOL
I feel like a complete idiot. I completely forgot Laura Dern played Shailenes mom in TFIOS.
My favorite moment? Renata Klein
Best show I’ve ever seen
So you haven't seen Fleabag...
WTF?!?! Bonnie's monologue should have been no.1! All of Bonnie's scenes were emmy worthy and if Zoe doesn't receive at least a nomination, there will be hell to pay!
Celeste and Madeline in the car after successfully confronting the mayor to continue with Madeleine’s controversial muppet play. Celeste came out of retirement (previously a lawyer) to help her friend but that was empowering and much needed for this wounded, traumatised and abused woman. She felt triumphant, liberated and strong. Not like the caged wife she has been to an angry, abusive husband. And I love Alexander, especially in True Blood, but his scenes with Celeste (Nicole Kidman) in this show were really painful and difficult to watch. So that scene in the car with the two women was impactful for me. It shows us what Perry has taken away from Celeste in this relationship.
I figrued the twist ending out pretty early because it is literally the same plot twist as in Corpses Bride lol
Everyone in the cast did such a great performance but lets give it for Alexander Skarsgard, he stole the show goddammit.
Jane smacking Renata is like the biggest mood. Like such a moment. And Renata destroying her husband's toys is such a Goddamn good moment. Honestly both of them deserve EMMYS, they both did such an amazing job portraying their characters.
Laura Derm job was *Fantastic* in this season
Renata steals the spotlight in S2, like literallt Madeline become meek somehow.
I was an extra!!
Best Renata klein moments pleasee
Just finished watching season 2 yesterday. Awesome show, great acting. Fave moments each top
Madeline perimenopausal yoga class
Celeste slapping Mary Louise
Renata destroying husbands toys
Jane dancing with Corey
Mary Louise scream
Very very great list I like it a lot and a lot of fun too one of the very best tv shows ever with a amazing cast
Renata Klien totally stole that series! 💙
We sure need season 3....
Any Celeste v. Mary Louis scene
Laura Dern is fabulous in these series
Wow.I just realized why I never watched this show lol.
Oh yes I do. Perry's death was sooooo shocking! I gagged 😶
