The scene with all the women protecting each other from Perry was amazing and powerful.
Jazzy Jaz yes it was. I loved that entire episode
It was my fav scene
It makes me cry every single time.
Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman are such an unexpected duo. They both bring the best out of each other.
I need to rewatch the therapy scenes because they were some of the best acted scenes so its blowing my mind that they weren't rehearsed. Just when I thought I couldn't love the show more
Isn't that true great acting. Reacting off one another. Incredible.
Such a cool thing to find out those therapy scenes were unrehearsed. They were, indeed, some of the best scenes in the show.
This was such a great mini series.
yaaaas i hope they don't ruin it now when there's no book to work by
Ally ikr hope the second season doesn't mess it up
I agree - well acted and believable. Reese was wonderful.
I am still mad they made Madeline cheat on her husband in the series
They did sort of very subtly allude to Bonnie's past abuse in the show, because she kept touching her neck when and after it all happened. I thought that was a nice touch
Wow I love that the therapy scenes weren't scripted, they were some of the best ones and felt really organic
They also cut one of Madelyn's children from the book, a boy, Ed's son, who also was more drawn to Nathan because of their shared interest in cars, which of course was very difficult for Ed to witness.
And the very end of the book has Celeste at a therapy session where she notices her therapist has also brought a man, who she later realizes is also, like her, a spousal abuse survivor. Also cut.
Not to mention, the end of the book is way better than the end of the miniseries (or is it series now?). By far.
Gregory House how is the end of the book different from the mini series? I want to know. 🙏🏼
It takes place on the balcomy, and Nathan and Ed are also there, and Bonnie is set off by Perry's saying that the boys don't know of his abusing her, when he's told by Celeste that it was Max who terrorized Amabella. Bonnie says "We see, we see, we fucking see!" before pushing Perry off.
In the aftermath, Bonnie confesses to the manslaughter and gets to do community service, and it's explained that Bonnie's father was abusive towards her mother, her and her sister, so much that even as an adult she was scared of him, but she had also had him arrested.
Celeste moves to the apartment and the very end is the therapy session I mentioned before.
Gregory House : yey, someone who actually read the book! The end of the book is really better than the series:-)
Nicole Kidman is so beautiful
Best cast+Great story = Perfect series. Reese Witherspoon is so beautiful 😍
Who’s here for Shailene??
*Spolier Alert*
If you notice the opening credits, they show just one of the twins probably hinting that it is one of them who hurts Amabella.
I super loved this show. Excellent acting, writing and direction!
I really liked the show, but to me it ends where season one ended, there's nothing more to say, at least to me. I'm satisfied with what we've got.
Yeah I agree, what more can they do ? I feel like if they do another mini series they will just ruin it. They should just leave it.
It's funny bc season 2 was even better
Season 2 was as good
Yeah Madeline, I WANT MOOOREEEE
Great stuff, hard hitting and emotional. Moriarty is also the name of the child psychologist and the writer also a little egg when Ed goes to talk with Bonnie, she says "we all come with baggage" then doesn't elaborate any more ,I kind of figured out pretty early that there's more to her then .
what an incredible show it was
I love "Truly, Madly, Guilty"!!! I can't wait to see it on the screen too!
BEST. SERIES. EVER.
love you you have the most interesting facts on my favourite movies, celebs, and tv shows keep it up
Thank you Enkara!
It has also been announced that Merly Streep is joining in for second season as Perry's mother
Mariana Marques really? Omg yaaas I’d love that!
Viajera Incansa 1 Yes!!! I was really excited too when I heard it!
ive never heard of merly streep
Here are few facts: Most of the show is NOT filmed in Monterey, but in southern California. There are a few scenes shot in Pacific Grove and Monterey.
Also, for anyone who's been to Monterey, the bridge they drive across (Bixby bridge) is dozens of miles south of Monterey and is not used to get between parts of the city. Silly Hollywood.
Madeline Mackenzie is the best 😂😍😗😙😘
A great series for mothers..
I loved this mini series !
I have never heard of this show in my life but it seems really good
I think 2 season it's exciting but I am with afraid that will sucks!!!! So I was happy but not satisfied with one season
a masterpiece
I like the book better and they shouldn’t have changed the death scene at all and had Bonnie yelling/screaming at perry (this is my opinion)
Brilliant
I would've preferred this being on Netflix
Why?
alexander❤️
I loved the show but I wasn’t so psyched about the last episode. It wasn’t shocking for me, didn’t leave me wanting more.
Bonnie's father was violent? When did that come in the series?
I think it was her mother in the series
I kinda think this Will be like True detective 2 Hopes not
Daniel Sagiv it will have to be exceptional.
Meryl Streep is suppose to be in next. I don't know. Little sick of her.
This was great, though
Why was Perry so violent? Anyone explain please.
i dont know about the book, but in the series, his background was never told but he did say that "There's a devil inside me" at the last epsiode.
Bonnie grew up with a abusive mother * NOT FATHER, you guys made a mistake
Hello
I personally think it should just be one season and honestly I almost wish they had just turned the book into a movie or something. I don’t know how I feel about a second season. I like how the author developed the characters and if they make a second season I do hope she helps write it at least
