- In this video, Sinead, a tour guide with Free Tours by Foot London, takes you on a walk around Belgravia London, the neighborhood surrounding Victoria Station. MORE LONDON VIDEOS - • Walking around London .
The tour begins just outside the station, which is the first view of London many visitors have upon arriving in the city, before heading to Lower and Upper Grovesnor Gardens, two little city square oases in the middle of the hustle and bustle of London.
You will then be brought to the Goring Hotel, the hotel used by Katherine Middleton and her family on the night before her wedding day.
The tour ends at Little Ben, a cast-iron replica of Big Ben and a great photo opportunity if you are in the city.
And along the way, you will see interesting architecture, memorials, art installations, and much more.

Thanks for the tour, tomorrow we will travel to London and my wife and kids are already excited to go after seeing your tour.
Have a fabulous time!
thanks for a great video. I did work in Victoria in about 1960 when I was 19 for a few months then I worked elsewhere in London; now I am 80 and lie in Essex.
London is very beautiful.
Pro tips for those who use the Tube to catch bus at Victoria Coach Station : never underestinate the distance between victoria tube station and victoria coach station
I love this area, the buildings and the houses are so beautiful that you can almost feel transported back to a previous time, I will visit It one day!
Glad that you enjoyed the video, Lucas. Hopefully, you can check out our other virtual tours of London ruclips.net/user/FreeToursbyFootLondonvideos.

The wider area is beautiful. The streets are clean and at night it's so peaceful. In the more residential areas cars are pretty much not around [parked up] and people are really quiet. Such a nice place wooow. The coach station is really spacious and has various places including a Starbucks to eat but there's McDonald's and such in the surrounding areas. Very nice place and the coach station has lots of seats.
Great video I enjoyed it 👍😀
Ben is the actual bell and the Tower is the Elizabeth Tower named after the quesn.
I was in London in summer 2019 and I knew that I wanted to come back. Watching your videos makes me crave it soooo much!! Summer 2022 for sure and I will make sure to book at least one tour with you. So informative and lively!! Thanks from Québec, Canada!! ❤

I would guess an "ascending room" is n elevator. You are so personable and natural! You must be in great physical shape. It is not that easy to walk, talk and photograph where you are going. Well done!
Ascending room: a lift or an elevator as we call them in the US. Love this area of London.
We call them those names in the UK too, that might just be a London thing lol
I've never even heard of Little Ben, to my shame. Amazing. You learn something new every day.
Thanks for watching, Lyndon! If you know of anyone else who might also enjoy these videos, please do share us with them. We would really appreciate that! Thank you.
Thanks!
I’ve stayed at the Grosvenor hotel at Victoria station!! Love it!!! Great hotel and so easy to get around London from that location!! Thank you for doing these tours!! I so want to visit again!!
Glad that you enjoyed the video, Shannon! We hope you get to visit again soon :) If you haven't done so already, you can hopefully check out our back catalogue of virtual London tours ruclips.net/user/FreeToursbyFootLondonvideos. There is more where this came from.
Grosvenor (/ˈɡroʊvənər/) is a surname derived from Hugh Le Grand Veneur, a member of a Norman French family that aided William the Conqueror in 1066. "Le Grand Veneur" literally means "the Master Huntsman" in French, an elevated title in William's 11th-century French court.
Thanks for the extra info, Svetlana!
I really am enjoying this series of tours of London on foot. I have lived and worked in various parts of London over the years in my youth and nice to revisit and see changes. I'm looking forward to part 2 as I lived in a hostel near to Victoria Cathedral and used to enjoy walking to work at WHS Advertising at Buckingham Gate Road nearby. You can also walk up along the river bank to Tate Modern from Victoria. If you have the time and energy you see so much more exploring London on foot rather than always travelling by bus or tube.
I never heard of little Ben fascinating! Again thank you for all you knowledge I don’t know how you remember everything ❤️ love love love your videos
You are welcome.
It would be great if you could make a video on Hampton Court Palace. I’m disabled and have always wanted to go.
Despite having agoraphobia now I really feel like I’m still able to visit places through your videos so thank you.
Ruth working on it as we speak
Sinead
I love 💘Victoria too. Especially, going towards Westminster Abbey from the Victoria Coach Station. Thank you!

Hiya Sinead, most interesting to me as my last name is extremely similar to Grosvenor? Will watch the second video now! Love that there are little green patches as you mentioned for a wee picnic lunch. Nice story about wee Ben. Thankyou please be safe around the cars luv! Take care Ontario Canada 🐝
Great walking tour thank you 😊😊
Victoria Gardens, I think is where comedic actor, Norman Wisdom roughed it in his younger years before he joined the army.
I'm guessing that an ascending room is a lift?
My eldest daughter as a teenager thought that Victoria train station and coach station were bang next door to each other. She had to run faster than she had ever done before to catch her coach in time with two huge suitcases weighing her down. She still feels indignant about it several years later.
But she did catch her coach, I hope.
@@FreeToursbyFootLondon By the skin of her teeth, yes.
sorry for typing error, please read as # lived in # London way back in 1960.
Haha love the Starbucks at the Station
Have you done the Great Fire of London Tour? After Yorkshire and Liverpool, I love London
Hi Norma
The Great Fire does feature in our City of London Tour
Perhaps a full tour may be something we could consider
Thanks for watching
Sinead
Alot of soldiers for the 95th Rifle brigade were recruited in Ireland around Cashel.
Thanks for this Michael shamefully I had no idea 🇮🇪💚
Well done avoiding the guys at the monument, like a true Irish Londoner! LOL
Eh, I'm just going to detour to this nice yoke over here... :D

It seems that London did a better job of providing "Green spaces/Parks" than Manchester did, please don't get me wrong as I also enjoy Manchester.....
An Ascending Room is probably an elevator or a lift.
Hello
