This is pure art. Pure creativity. Clearly an insane amount of effort has gone into it. I’m so glad you’re making these videos. You’re an absolute credit to the country.
The levels of creative genius displayed within this masterpiece are almost beyond comprehension. I have never in my life considered supporting anybody on Patreon, but if that's what it will take to keep these videos coming then consider it done
This is honestly the best thing I’ve seen on RUclips in years. I’ve watched this no less than 20 times in the past 24 hours. Patreon sub incoming - I hope you’re well and hope you’re still creating BFings!
As a Limerickman not entirely unfamiliar with the remarkable work of clan Fingers, I was somehow guided here by the great Tim Ferriss who rightly described this as the best thing he’s seen on t’internet for an aeon. Damn right. G’wan Bobby Fingers!!
I spent six years at film school, so, as you can imagine, the question "What is art?" was brought up regularly. I came to loathe those discussions as I found them repetitive and meaningless. But today, years later, I can say with no doubt in my mind - this Bobby Fingers video is art.
I gotta say, art is pissing people off and expanding their brains. Making people uncomfortable and moving them to joy, sadness, fear. Making people better by making them question their views and their subjective take on reality. Or just making some pretty stuff for money. That's cool too.
I was there in the front row at age 14. Everything tracks, including the confusion as to what was happening and the screaming when the realization set in. The execrable reek of burnt hair was overpowering. People ran out onto the stage and smacked at his head and tackled him to the ground. That is the kernel of my memory for the event.
I'm bizarrely proud that both Rubberbandits lads have gone on to make truly great things on their own. So incredibly talented, these dioramas are the best thing on RUclips
Yeah, I just read a thing that pinpointed Limerick and it suddenly hit me...the production, the depth of narrative...the sheer brilliant lunacy...the genuine goodwill in his replies to troubled commenters...
Bobby Fingers videos are like a fine vintage wine: they take time to make, they are not something you consume every day, week or month and the exquisite quality, the bouquet, the rich palette and the divine after taste are so incredibly worth it.
This is genius. Every part of it is gold. The commentary, the camera work, the dancing the sculpting. I love everything about this and it has brought me joy.
The first two videos I watched on this channel filled me with so much joy. Not only because of the humor but because I know I only scratched the surface of what’s possible, not necessarily for me but at least for me to watch. Thank you!
I don’t think i have ever hit subscribe so quickly after finishing a video. I don’t think I could give this video, and presumably your entire video catalogue enough praise. A masterpiece in entertainment.
So far Bobby has only done three diorama videos (not counting teasers): * Mel Gibson's DUI * Steven Seagal getting rekt by a stuntman * and now Michael Jackson's hair catching fire It really won't take long to watch the whole catalogue, then you won't need the "presumably". Sure you might as well!
The level of entertainment this video gives is under apreciated. The subtle jokes, the cinematography, story telling, the replacated costume the genius idea to make him a lamp. And your amazing sculpting. I can not belive you only have 44k subcribers. I would rather have the brass version than the diorama. but that diorama was amazing.
Watching this video is like looking at a photograph of your dad crying. In a good way. Thanks for this Bobby - I’ve been a fan of your stuff since the Ambrose Houlihan days. Just keeps getting better and better x

and leave her with such burdens.
Because we brake the things we love.
And monsters sharpen their claws in the void where youth is confused with beauty.
Holy shit Bobby.. that kinda hit hard
It had better.
Every video you make is underrated and can’t be valued enough, your videos are a gift to RUclips and you and everything you do are a gift to the world.
Thanks. It means so much coming from you, given your history.
I don't know what I expected walking into this, but what I saw was a masterpiece
This is a new type of entertainment. A multidisciplinary (sculpting, music, electronics, material science, mass media, etc.) form of satire combining all media and exploiting advances in automation and personalization of production. Bobby Fingers, Pat Finnerty and others are the riders surfing this new wave of creativity born at the intersection of industrial-information age and personal creativity. Brilliant.
BEATO
@21:25 has now become the absolute best posthumously released MJ song. Lyrics are GOLDEN:
strong as blood, we were brothers then
and I had your back til I broke that pact
sitting by myself, ain't want nothin, man
but I did you wrong now I can't move on
everthing was cool until she sat on the bed
telling me she lonely and in need of a friend
just forget my brother we'll go on over here
and before I know it I was flat on my back
30 seconds that was that
and now i live my life in constant fear
*CHORUS 2X*
Dickie don't poke my sister, no way (i dont need you)
he's talking like "you did me so bad, boy"
Dickie don't poke my sister, not today (i just miss you)
he's talking like "she wants me so bad, boy"
Dickie don't poke my sister
*HORN BREAK*
Dont forget to not poke her now
Dont forget to not poke her now
Dont poke her now
You dont poke my sister!

I was hoping there'd be a download link in the description but it appears not! I need to own this track!
It goes way harder than it has any right to. Thanks for the lyrics.
I am 56 years old. I now know that I’ve never really understood what art is until seeing this video. Thank you, Bobby Fingers.
The amount of artistry that went into this video is truly awe-inspiring. As a fellow artist, I am humbled, jealous, and afeared by the sheer scope of your skill, and your ability to not simply create, but evoke. Thank you for this.
This has no right to be this well produced. It's unbelievable how much effort you put in your videos. Your contents are top-tier.
It's one of the Rubberbandits
Don't know what is better: The dudes talent for sculpting or his dry humor. Such an incredible mixture. Laughing tears every time while absolutely astounded by the whole sculpting process.
The drop of water sliding down the face perfectly positioned as if it were a single tear
This is pure art.
Pure creativity.
Clearly an insane amount of effort has gone into it.
I’m so glad you’re making these videos. You’re an absolute credit to the country.
This is honestly one of the best things I have ever seen on RUclips. It was an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. Thank you for the ride
Bobby, I'm very proud to have my recordings of Satie played in this truly amazing video. Your sense of humor is brilliant!
I enjoyed your renditions very much :)
May I ask, what is the name of the piece that starts around 10:15?
Your music is AMAZING. Everyone. Check it out!
@@mrGolonko14 that would be Satie's Gnossienne No.1, but in negative harmony!
@@furniture-music Thank you very much!
The man is a genius.
Probably the most creative thing I've seen on RUclips. Captivated for every second of it. These videos are more than worth the wait, Bobby.
One year later, this is still my favourite video on RUclips.
As a Limerickman not entirely unfamiliar with the remarkable work of clan Fingers, I was somehow guided here by the great Tim Ferriss who rightly described this as the best thing he’s seen on t’internet for an aeon. Damn right.
G’wan Bobby Fingers!!
Thanks Mr.Blake. See you in town.
I came from the stand up maths video. Wasn't sure what to expect, but definitely wasn't disappointed. Absolutely fantastic.
I know, right? 18,562 thanks to Matt for putting us onto this masterpiece
I know why I know who this guy is. Once I heard the michael jackson song. Dude is from Rubberbandits. So stoked to see him here. Incredible work!
"As he spills his revenge between her kidneys"
Good lord I almost spat out my coffee 😂
was eating noodles. half way in...
I'm bizarrely proud that both Rubberbandits lads have gone on to make truly great things on their own. So incredibly talented, these dioramas are the best thing on RUclips
Was 99% sure this was Mr C but thanks for confirming!
I FUCKING KNEW IT
Yeah, I just read a thing that pinpointed Limerick and it suddenly hit me...the production, the depth of narrative...the sheer brilliant lunacy...the genuine goodwill in his replies to troubled commenters...
Bobby Fingers videos are like a fine vintage wine: they take time to make, they are not something you consume every day, week or month and the exquisite quality, the bouquet, the rich palette and the divine after taste are so incredibly worth it.
Holy hell, that was an amazing writing during the forging!!!
This was nothing short of a masterpiece, from the diorama to the video itself. This will live rent free in my head and my heart.
Who else was here after reading Tim Ferriss's 5-Bullet Friday? This video was so well made. Work of art. Bravo!
This is my favorite RUclips channel. The art is great and the dialog is priceless.
This is genius. Every part of it is gold. The commentary, the camera work, the dancing the sculpting. I love everything about this and it has brought me joy.
This is the most seriously underrated channel on RUclips. Period.
The first two videos I watched on this channel filled me with so much joy. Not only because of the humor but because I know I only scratched the surface of what’s possible, not necessarily for me but at least for me to watch.
Thank you!
12:58 the continuity of the bandaged finger is great
I don’t think i have ever hit subscribe so quickly after finishing a video.
I don’t think I could give this video, and presumably your entire video catalogue enough praise. A masterpiece in entertainment.
So far Bobby has only done three diorama videos (not counting teasers):
* Mel Gibson's DUI
* Steven Seagal getting rekt by a stuntman
* and now Michael Jackson's hair catching fire
It really won't take long to watch the whole catalogue, then you won't need the "presumably".
What is this even?! Every moment surpasses the ones before it. This diorama has a musical number???! I am so on board for it.
Watching this video is like looking at a photograph of your dad crying.
In a good way.
Thanks for this Bobby - I’ve been a fan of your stuff since the Ambrose Houlihan days. Just keeps getting better and better x
I cannot get enough of this storytelling.
Look up Bobby Fingers' partner in crime Blindboy's podcast. You'll have solid months of very similar (frequently hysterical) storytelling.
RUclips should create a 1 million thumbs up button for videos like this. A single thumbs up per view is criminally inadequate for the greatness contained within. Hands down one of the best videos I have ever seen.
I've never been prouder to be Irish in my life than I am after watching Bobby fingers videos, what a brilliant talent and great crack ! Happy paddy's day 😃👍☘️
Glad you enjoyed it
@@bobbyfingers I sure did, thanks you
My Irish great great great grandfather is doing fist pumps in heaven right now. Or maybe hell, I never knew the man
I am blown away. I thought I was gonna see a maker video... but this was SO MUCH more. This is what youtube needs more of.
This is so inspirational that I might do a little cry. Thank you for making me want to make things again. Amazing talent xx
I feel like your channel came out of nowhere and I am so thankful for it. Best stuff ever!
Easily the best video I have seen on YT so far in 2023. Amazing skill and dedication to the craft while taking the audience on a spiritual and emotional roller coaster ride to get at the essence of the moment Michael Jackson's hair caught fire on the 27th of January in 1984. This video transcends the medium. It belongs in a museum!
Wow! I thought this was simply a video about model building. You gave us so much more. Thank you Bobby.
Mr Fingers always delivers
This needs so many more likes... this might be the best RUclips video I have ever seen in the past 19 years.
Righto, I'm up to the bit where your dancing and singing. I can see now why you don't post often. Your videos have gone up and up in quality and entertainment so damned fast in so few videos, that it must be hard to top the last you made. My man. This is unreal. Thank you for making my day.
Stunning. Come for the diorama, stay for the fever dream.
16:57 🍄
Then you stare into the wet metal,
This soup of light that screamed from the guts of a star
As it shed its skin eons ago.
And yet, in the life of our universe
Only a few grains of sand have fallen into the glass below.
Our mother is an infant;
Still, we take the purest of things from inside her
And leave her with such burdens
Because we break the things we love,
And monsters sharpen their claws in the void where youth is confused with beauty.
The amount of effort and creativity in this is staggering
i literally immediately became a patron. this is a masterpiece.
Thanks so much
I’ve watched this a thousand times, as I have done with all of Bobby’s videos…. It’s a perfect blend of comedy and genius craft……please continue Bobby, for the sake of my boredom…and sanity.
Give this lad a fookin Oscar. Epic, Epic, Epic, this was a full blown movie and much more. You learn about sculpting, a story is told. Even shed a tear at the end. Beautiful work by Bobby and his crew, and I wish all well, and peeps like Bobby just little more❤
OK so I started the night watching math videos for fun and ended up finding something unexpected and beautiful. Looking forward to more!
And yeah, I signed up to be a Patron and you should too. Not to get a head start on finding buried treasure but because this is the kind of content we need more of in the world.
i saw this video, then i saw the view count, then i looked at one of the trending videos that day, and i want to blow my brains out. genuine work and effort went into this hilarious whole thing and not even that close to a mill
The Viking forging segment is absolutely amazing. Bobby, you are awesome.
This is so good! Amazing work all around. Sculpting, digital sculpting, 3D printing, ancient forging, wizardry, and a whole song and dance 🤩
That was just masterful. Excellent demonstration of the lost wax casting process. Thanks for showing MJ some love. Mel and Steve should be proud of the company they keep on your channel.
Indeed. I never realised that magic mushrooms were a requisite of the process.
Every episode I dont know how you’re going to top the last, and yet you always manage it. The song at the end is 11/10 also.
The song and lyrics haven't stopped running through my head! Great job on every single bit of the video.
bobby fingers is too good for a day job. i stand by the fact that bobby fingers (90k subs at the time of commenting) sets a new standard for content. masterful craftsmanship
Can you do a sculpture of yourself printing out the suggestions for sculptures from us freeloaders on to paper then setting them alight?
Chris gets it.
