ok, love your videos and getting addicted to them. Very clear and easily explained. - So here is a curly question. I own an investment property that is in my name only and is rented to an unrelated third party. I have my own SMSF and my partner has her own SMSF. We are not married but of course we live together and share a mortgage for the family home. Can my partner use her own SMSF to buy my investment property from me at fair market value and hold it within her own SMSF where I have no influence or benefit derived?
In short, Yes it can. You can merge your smsf and purchase it together or you can buy it using your smsf.
@@DavieMach that’s quite interesting. But I think what Scott is trying to say is, he wants to sell his property to his partner. They don’t have anything that clearly shows they are related apart from their joint mortgage on their HOME….If I can share my own opinion, they might not be married but since they leave together(assuming they’ve been together for 2+ years), the Australian law will see their union as a de facto relationship even if it’s not legally registered. In nutshell, they are related.
