- Is Harbor Freights color match 95 + CRI LED flashlight and it is pretty spendy but it is also pretty well-built and really does have a nice High color rendering index and I compare the various forms of other light bulbs. 56354 . .
Hey guys, this light is a special purpose light and that it why it is so costly. This light is made specifically for 'color matching'. It is used in body shops for automotive painters to use natural light to be able to color match paint. This light is not intended for just normal flashlight use. Just giving yall a heads up.
Saved me a google search👍
I just picked this up last night. It's a great deal! I tried countless led flashlight, flurouscent bulbs you name it. They all sucked for paint correction work. I decided to try this one after seeing a few reviews on it. Both my cars are white so this one works very well on white. I tried it on dark color cars too, and it makes those show ugly swirls and love marks too. Hard to beat this bad boy with the 20%coupon it was $40! Techs at my work pay $100-$200 for flashlights all the time.
If I can't see what your are correcting on your paint you are just paint enhancing not true correcting. I don't mind spending money on tools if they are a good value. Thanks for the video.
Catus Maximus if you were to go to a automotive paint supply store and order one of these for it's purpose, you would pay $500 and more.
Yep I've had the axalta n 3m light... I love this one for 27 bucks with the coupon lol. Great video
People who think $50 is expensive should look up Scangrip flashlights.
Thats the one i use!
I use this light when performing vehicle detailing and paint correction. 👍
Just absolutely my favorite channel in the variety of stuff reviewed. Anyway, are you aware of the Astro Pneumatic Tool 50SL light? It's the only other one I've seen of comparable size and price (and CRI rating at around supposedly 97). Even then, the teardown of this light is great, especially when you slap those HF 20% coupons on it.
Amazing job! Would this be good for car detailing?
Thank you for the review I do body and paint this tool will be useful
Turn your booth lights off and then go in the booth with this light to check if you have full coverage or if your color blend will work.
Can this be used when paint correct in and checking for clearcoat defects?
I been using it for color making and buffing for the last 2 months it’s a very good flash light. Only complaint is you see the led dots in the paint because it’s a led Over say the sun gun but that’s $700. And even use it for looking at wires makes the colors very easy to see. But that charger is so cheap feeling big fail because if that breaks no way to charge it.
Recently purchased one similar thru Eastwood , 35 bucks
If they sold it without the internal cover more people would be tempted to buy it.
Pulse width modulation is annoying. Only because it's avoidable. I suppose direct drive is more complicated.
I have a feeling there is gonna be a crayola crayon review in the near future. 👍🏻
These prices are getting out of hand with this stuff, I would rather buy from small manufacturers with real warranties. Good video as always Catus Maximus.
Yota Doug's Tool Collecting Channel lol these are not bad for the purpose. Try looking at the 3m and ScanGrip ones
I still think the harbor freight 4 dollar pair lights with batteries are the best light they sell! drop them lost them the batteries cost more the the lights.
Got rid of my 500 3m sunlight
Harbor Freight is now selling them for $34.99. I got the last one. Not sure if they are discontinued.
27 bucks with the 20 coupon
It looks like a remote control. You will lose it like one for sure.
Not for $50 though
Paint and body tool. Well worth that cost.
LongIslandP8ntball scangrip cost hundreds of dollars for the same thing
