- Today we look at the Lisle Relay Pro. We test it on good and bad relays and talk about how relays work. It seems like it's a good little time saving diagnostic tool.
I forgot to mention that it works on 12-24 volts.

These videos are always awesome. Like Einstein said “If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.” and you my friend did just that explained it simply.
About your comment on not wearing jewellery while working with electricity. My uncle was working on his semi-truck, and he was wearing one of those stretchy metal band watches. Well, he hit a ground and a positive with it, and burned the watch in to his wrist. Same shape and everything.
Bought one when it came out. Freaking awesome! I use it all the time to eliminate the relay just because it’s so small and easy to use.
Just ordered one. Thanks for this fantastic review. I have had a cheap plug in tester that worked intermittently. It was so unreliable that you’d have to perform the test many times and basically take a guess based on it passed more times than failed. I think this will be much more reliable. Keep up the great content! Love watching your vids man.
Aaaaye. I've been getting so close to buying the Matco relay tester and I knew the OG existed outside of the "non-consensual intercourse" van. Been casually searching the source of who actually makes it and holding off to find an alternative. Then bam. I also work on forklifts and I'm not even going to bother with those relay test boards, since the company works on everything from skytrack, to toyota to yale and a list of arials.
proprietary is the bane of man
I accidentally clicked your video and was on page 8 of Mac's past catalog and it has the exact product you are looking at!
Well I didn't expect to need to buy this today
A future update it would tell you that wire 1 is common, wire 2 is N/O and so on, so that if you don't know what the pins are on the relay you can find out.
That is simple & slick, wish I would’ve thought of that
Enjoying the long form vids, that thing would have been so useful earlier in my career!
I love the outtakes being included! Thanks!
Lol I paid $102 off the Cornwell truck but I’m happy. Was pulling my hair out on an international 466dt when he showed up.
It tests multiple times as some relay faults are intermittent as the contacts are worn inside due to welding/arching
Thanks funk.
Love the outtakes
Thank you for making this
Thank you funk! ❤
This thing is pretty sweet.
