You may appreciate "Ain't Gone n' Give Up on Love" Live @ the Capital Theatre...SRV writing, singing, playing peak. No behind-the-back stuff, just straight grown-folks music...but brings his voice into the spotlight and a solo that's eye-watering. There' s a little acknowledgement smile of the applause that is rare & endearing. .A real 'purity' test that is a focus on real blues...and the complete package he delivers.

Was delighted to see you circling back to Stevie Ray but this version is almost boring compared to Austin City Limits 1989🎸🎶. It is longer with 🔥 🎸solos plus Reese Wynans on the piano adds so much with his fantastic solos. Any song performed at ACL 1989 is 🔥 as well as from the Capitol Theatre 1985 which also features Reese. Reese joined DT in August 1985 and added so much‼️ The arrangement for this song originally came from Buddy Guy, one of Stevie's musical influences and good friends.
