    How olivadotti ever kept his job as Miami D coordinator is beyond me.

      He was the Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator from 1987 to 1995.

      Don Shula that's the reason why. Shula hated chance that's what cost him his job after 95 cause Wayne H wanted Shula to fire Olivadotti and Shula was loyal to him for some weird reason

      His defense was much improved in 1992, but yeah, no. Should not be coaching for nearly a decade with some really bad defensive teams

    I was at this game... it was my first Jets game and I was only in Florida for a brief time, but I went with some NY Jets fans and we had a blast..we were so excited after Allegre tied and won it..We had a great train ride home... one of the fewest proud moments in Jets history...

    I remember watching this at a bar and being astonished we lost this game. Fortunately though I ended up meeting a few other suffering Dolphin fans there and we ended up becoming friends over our mutual misery.

    What a game. One of the very best of 1991. One that the Jets usually lose...but they pulled this one out of the fire. Very fond memory. J-E-T-S
    Hopefully this rivalry gets revived in 2022

    I too was hoping you had the game at San Diego, my first Dolphin game in person, having flown down to San Diago for a playoff clinching win 😤. A crushing defeat by the way, almost as crushing as the Jets game.

    Tom Hammond and Joe Namath on the call for this game on NBC at 1pm. And this was the same day Chuck Noll coached his final game at Three Rivers against the Browns. Atlanta and Dallas went into a shooutout,with the Saints clinching the NFC West with the Falcons lost and the Lions upset the Bills in Buffalo in OT and won their 2nd game on the road that season as they were undefeated at home. But the Chargers and Dolphins game hurt Miami cause they should have won that game.

    O'Brien's pass to Moore (3:04:20) was an incredible throw. The Jets' run blockers were tossing the Dolphins' front seven around all day; New York should have won this game more handily.

    Good Mr. Shipley just was wondering if you have 1991 Miami Dolphins @ San Diego Chargers? I've always wanted to see that game since it didn't come on my local NBC/AFC channel 12 affiliate here in Richmond, Virginia way back in 1991.

    I was watching this game in Denver hoping to see the Jets sneak into the playoffs, but right after the Dolphins scored with 44 seconds left they broke away for the Broncos pregame show. I called my Dad in Florida (he was a Dolphins fan) and got the play by play for the rest of the game. After that score, a friend of mine called and said "Ha ha the Jets lost, Ha ha the Jets lost." I called her after the game went final and her brother said that she couldn't come to the phone because she was in mourning.

      @daniel anderson It wasn't even the kickoff just yet, they were still in the pregame show. But the kickoff wasn't far away.

      With 42 seconds remaining in regulation - I still get angry at Olivodatti’s defence - two of the easiest 20 yd receptions I’ve ever seen - and a 10 yd sweep- no QB pressure

  • @Bipbop66

    This game was really really hard to take.........After Marino brought back the Dolphins back with seconds left in regulation, what Dolfan really thought we were going to hold the jets from scoring a TD with seconds left with our defense?

    • @addster124
      @addster124 2 года назад

      marino had the ball in overtime but overthrew cooper at midfield. it would have gone for a td or at least a very close fg if he is eventually tackled.

    I was at this game sitting in the last row of the stadium ($30 tickets) wearing my green and white, with my nephew and family friend who are both fish head fans. I don't know what was better, the J-E-T-S winning or the Sardines fans burning the gear in the parking lot.

      That probably owes to this being a winner-take-all game for the last AFC wild-card spot, and thus NBC sending this game to most of America.

    Saw this and then my Raiders lose at home to the Chefs...another late season collapse as their three straight losses took them from a possible division title (they swept Denver) and not having a home game in the playoffs.

    awful clock management by miami. why call timeout with 48 seconds left?? its 4th and goal, its 1 play, let time run down so the jets dont have any time left if you score.

    Where do you begin with this one. Gotta be one of the worst losses in Dolphins history. Below 0.500 shitbag Jets team walks in and beats Marino for a playoff spot. No Super Bowl wins with Marino, productive QB but not in my top 10. Gotta win the big ones.

    • @addster124
      @addster124 2 года назад

      i agree. marino threw an awful pick in the redzone after the jets punter punter botched a punt. he could have put them up 20-14 in that drive which means when he jets get a fg, it is 20-17. marino wouldn't need a clutch drive. he would just need a first down or 2 to put the game away. heck he didn't do any of that, it is still fine if he simply hits cooper on the deep ball on first down from midfield. if he does it then they win in overtime.
