Honestly, to me it seems like the show tries to fuse Christianity and Greek Mythology with Hindu, Norse, Chinese, Celtic, Egyptian mythologies all together which is weird and confusing. But still a good show.
There is one weak spot - Xena's death. But if you forget about the finale, then the series is great without a doubt. However, I've always missed the romantic kiss between them. The real one, unmasked under something else
Athena said she protected Amphipolis and now we know from what. Even Eli' s God started to act shady in season 6. None of them were an improvement over Athena.

And look at the lip as he/she laughs evilly at 4:36, the start of the break during which "The Heart Of Darkness" was promo'd briefly before the ep returned at 4:40.

This episode... very nice but mixed feelings... the great thing is that we FINALLY saw Xena's gorgeous outfit from the Xena Trilogy of Hercules. A gorgeous outfit that we didn't have the chance to see it on the series (except in "Orphan of War", and just a little bit) . I'd die to see this outfit again , I know Lucy wasn't very comfortable with that, but they could remake the outfit for Lucy, to feel OK with that. I hate most of the Evil Xena outfits.

Personally I think they forced her pacifism too much. She literally spend most of the last 25 years as a mean fighting machine. I got to meet Adrienne a few years ago at comic con though. She's such a sweet heart
