@epacig Nobody wants to live in the boonies on this "unused land". Everyone wants to live in the developing suburban areas, driving the prices up for locals. We are full, stay away.
@ union private trades ( not the public sector) work harder. Better training higher skilled. Not everyone but most. The houses built union are still in good condition. The new homes being constructed now are falling apart. People are complaining. Better wages/ better workers. Cheap unskilled workers equal poor quality. They do not care not skilled and not being paid well. Actually anyone off the streets. This is a fact a Union contractor pays less insurance on his men than a non union contractor. Insurance companies know Union workers get hurt way less.
I live near Luke AFB and the planes are loud but it rarely bothers me. Nearby are many warehouses and factories but inside the community its quiet and peaceful.
I'm in the west valley and all the farmland is being built up into housing/apartment developments or warehouses. I miss the farms and open fields. Everything is getting so crowded.
This was the best RUclips video I've seen in a long time, and I don't even care about real estate that much. Way to go Brian, I might be hooked on both your content, and on the concept?
I would say Reserve at Redrock is a far better choice. Same builder, similar price point, but a nicer community in a MUCH better location. You can also probably get to the 202 in the same amount of time without being right up against it.
I’ll be honest, I’d rather back up to a road and upgrade to good dual pane windows than live in a fish bowl where all the neighboring houses windows look into each other windows and backyards. When it comes time to relocate we are going to look at newer used homes in single story neighborhoods in already built out communities.
As the former Williams Air Force Base transitions into an overflow airport for PHX and gets busier , there will be plenty of angry residents as the noise gets louder in the coming years
Where Would you suggest? I just flew down here today from Seattle to meet with a “Realtor” but i know they are not allowed to give biased opinions so i figure better to ask actual locals
@206remyboyz7 It would be impossible for me to give a meaningful suggestion without knowing anything about you. If you haven't signed an agreement with another Realtor I'd be happy to find out more so that I could give you some suggestions: calendly.com/arizonadreamin/30min
Got myself a government job (less money than my corporate job) down south and never looked back leaving phoenix. Wouldn’t give up my Cochise county acreage with some of the phenomenal mountain views (especially during sunrise/sunset) you’ve ever seen. If I told you what I bought it all for including brand new house 10 years ago you’d never believe me. You can hear nothing but insects and coyotes. Tranquility is priceless and I am in Tucson in no time with no stress with FSD on Tesla. Hint: I paid a lot less than the shoebox house next to the landfill…😅
Some of it, yes. The worst offender is Jorde Farms - I'd definitely stay away from that one too. It's really close to the runway so the planes are really low when they're coming in overhead.
If you buy a new home, you’re probably buying one an hour plus away from the city in Phoenix. Also, don’t ever buy in South Phoenix, Levine, or Maryville. Those communities might as well be Compton, California.
@ if you haven’t noticed the TSCM plant is down the road. 10 will be built in 2026 two will be running at full capacity. 6.6 billion dollars of chips sold already. Not including the intel plant and all the stuff that goes with it. You are a fool.
@ your brain is extra smooth if you think a chip plant an hour away from the north 202 loop is going to have any impact. I think you need some serious help pal
Ha! Thankfully no. I've got a good relationship with pretty much all of them, and I think the majority of them do good work and build nice homes - including the builders of the communities in this video. But that doesn't excuse them for choosing these locations to build on. It's a greedy move and I know they can do better.

As a native Arizonan, i invite everyone to disregard our entire state. We are full. Please pass us by👋
No
Our state has sooo much unused land, more than most states even, why not share?
@epacig Nobody wants to live in the boonies on this "unused land". Everyone wants to live in the developing suburban areas, driving the prices up for locals. We are full, stay away.
So glad we bought an existing remodeled 48 year old home in Phoenix. 3 years ago. Our realtor advised against buying new homes anywhere in the valley.
You got yourself a well built home( most likely block)and union built. Neither of these two thing are in a new home.
@@chipcook6646why does union built matter? Just curious….

Glad I got our house passing Buckeye, little over 1 acer for $185k in 2020

Agreed!
@@JL-ji5gkthe new LA😢
Thank you for sharing this. Can't believe the builders would put homes in some of these places.
Ya it's crazy. Thanks for watching!
So no space anymore.
More astonishing is that people will pay $500k-$700k for a home in these places.
Be careful of lawsuits
How about this, if you're from California dont move to Phoenix. Just keep driving untill you hit New Mexico.
No I'll be in PHX soon
I can handle freeway and aiport noise. I would absolutely not be able to deal with the dumpster smell.
I live in hawes crossing and never smelt anything

Really appreciate that!
The homes are so close to each other it's ridiculous.
It reminds me of my grandparents' house in Chicago, on a 25' wide lot, with 5' feet between them.
Great information! Thank you for sharing.
@@mzme6281 Absolutely! Thanks for watching.
Interesting, I am considering The Grove and being that close to the highway was actually the reason I loved it. So close and fast to get on and off.

@@ArizonaDreamin Noted, will look at that with my agent this weekend

I really enjoyed this video. Not a fan of exposed power lines too.
Check out buckeye, especially verrado area. Unless u r a karen or a Kevin. Dont bother. It's a consecutive community. Very family friendly.
You couldn't pay ME to move to the East Valley.
Cool. Don't even drive here. 😂
Great video Brian! Informative and entertaining.
@brianporter2806 Thanks Brian!

Poor planning and zoning is Arizona's pride and joy lol
Thanks for this info........never forget, buyer beware
My pleasure! Thanks for watching.
Lol in Lehi there is also an asphalt manufacturer near there and you can smell it in the community
Very true. Just not a good location for (expensive) homes to be built.
Avoid new builds period. Ours is a 2.5 year nightmare.
Why do people buy these houses at these outrageous prices?? Even in good areas. I can get a great house in Tennessee for $350k
Where Would you suggest?

Lehi crossing is a great community the loop 202 is the least traveled compared to the south loop. The airplane issue is also overrated.
Right now not in two more years.

I'll bet you can still get that hat
😂 it isn’t that serious look how far those homes are from the freeway is compared to california is actually in their backyard
Did you buy a new car?
@EscapeToArizona Ha...I did not...just rolled out the one I never drive from the garage so it still looks new...bought it before the kids arrived.
How did I not know that you had that? But this feels familiar so maybe it's my short-term memory loss.
@EscapeToArizona Haha! I mean...I rarely drive it...sometimes I forget it's in the garage.
2:58 the fake 2nd story on this ranch looks terrible. Who designs this crap? Is the 2nd floor for little people only?
My favorite view of AZ is seeing it in the rear view mirror as I head OUT
Isn’t all of Phoenix area risky with water issues?

The main thing to avoid is apartment buildings, don't buy a house near one.
NONE OF THESE PROPERTIES WERE IN PHX 😂
Phoenix Metropolitan area. Pretty clear if you understand the concept of suburbs.
everything outside of phx and glendale is trash
You obviously don’t ever visit any city outside of Phoenix or Glendale then 😂.
Inside.
