I just bought this track and I cant get enough of it. Being a producer myself, I cant thank you enough for this great insight. I'm glad you decided to show us some tricks off your sleeve. :) Some very useful tips. :)
If your volume automation on the track is a bad habit - then how do you do that today? Didn't quite get that? =) Nice to see the whole arrangement and to hear how you did things differently back then and now.
You always want to be able to adjust the main volume of the channel, automating it prevents it. Instead, automate the volume of your plugin, or put a Utility plugin on the channel and automate the gain.
i like that you don't have that many channels yet it still sounds full. I don't get how some people can have 130+ in their projects. Btw, is compressor really necessary on so many channels? I normally use it only on groups.
automate the volume by a knob of a plugin like the utility for example in ableton, to keep the main volume free so when you are not satisfied with the volume in the track you can fixed but when you have automation on it, it will take you a lot of time while you can do it in one sec when you dont have automation on it.
So happy when I seen a video from you in my subscriptions :D

I was surprised about the minimal amount of boosting you've done with eq. Thank you for sharing this video =)
I'm learning so much by watching this, and I don't even use Abelton.
Hello, Jezper here. OH God how I missed that!

Who knows, just seem to work for me :)
+vision14 The less the better, you want to keep the dynamics on the pads and so on.
It's just a matter of personal tastes usually. I used to keep things expanded and in the back.
Why never automate the main volume Jezper?

which program is that?
Ableton Live :)
