Adiyen ku oru doubt. Lord Krishna in Mahabharatam showed Dritharastra that he killed some animals in a tree. It was 80 births ago. If all pavam and punyam cannot be carried over for more than 7 births, how Dritharastra can be punished for somthing 80 birth ago? Humbly request Swami to clarify.
Aagaami karma is sum total of Sanchita karma + Prarabdha karma which will happen after current birth, that is next jenma. If one can increase good deeds in this jenma, Aagaami will be better.
Every man - person - has aptitudes and limitations of his ability for making materialistic and spiritual progress. Aptitudes are inborn and choosing an occipation out of tune with his aptitude will really lead to disappointments and unhappiness Western economic philosoohies assume that materiak equakity can be achieved by providing specialised study and training opportunities. But this iee know s true only in a limited extent since we do not generally resulting equality of achievements. But spiritually spraking, these limitations are not of any significance as long as man understands that there is no superiority or inferiority in oc upations. Rather every person must accept his limitations when he cannot achieve more and accitdingly chooses the occupation/s in tune with his inborn aptitudes, the total social good of all indivifual contributions through occipations thus chosen, will be optimised. Fate is approximately the fact that what cannot be altered by any amount of human efforts. This is due to Karma which is the carryover from uncleared balance of teward/punishment for deeds done in an earlier birth. Islam, Christianity taking two major religions do not have precepts and practices that instill faith in fate in their folloers based on cycle if birth-life-death-rebirth. It is perhaps due to the zealotry to bring all mankind iediately into their religiiys fold to get liberated and saved from condemnation to hell at the end of a single life? Inctessing criminality and violence of wars and terrorism are in the final analysis attributable to the superstition that the present birth is all that is real. This is no condemnation of what limited matetiakistic accomplishments can be made by man through the best exercise of intelligence with whatever help for training and education can be garneted by him / arranged by society for him. Scientific research has so far made certain conclusions on human limitations as defined by man's genetic makeup. Discrinatory intellugence in eating, visual, aural etc culture and not invalid teligiius dogmas will be required in tge wise use of scientific findings which too are subject to errors and uncertainy -- due to rather too many factors to be considered - knoen and unknown), and due to future modification or even abandinment in the light of advances.Spiritually advanced Vefic teligion of Sanatana Dharma, avers that fate is also not so fatal - and can be favourably changed - by establishing communion with the Supreme Bring - God - with Bhakti, and living a righteous (Dhaarmik) life.
