Not a product I've found through tiktok, but a makeup application. The androgynous boy beat did some rounds on the NB side of the app and I love using the techniques to bring out the shadows and contours of my face to make it look more masculine and like a vampire who hasn't slept in centuries

Tiktok is definitely the reason behind my Dior addiction. Started out with a lip glow and a blush to see what the hype is about, but my collection expanded very quickly to include eye makeup, body care, fragrance, and so on.

i always see kosas on my fyp, mostly the concealer the glosses (which i love) the brow products and the powder, basically almost everything from their line !
Big Kosas gloss fan too! I haven't tried their brow products or powders, or any of their launches from the last few years really. The brand has gone in quite a different direction since the early days of their lipsticks, I can't keep up! 😅 x
Kosas Revealer Concealer works beautifully on my 65+ mature under eye area, paired with Vaseline Extremely Dry Skin Rescue moisturizer underneath (very light application). A miracle combo for me.

I’m light medium with peachy undertones & never found a Kosas concealer shade that matched me. I love the Huda & new Charlotte Tilbury concealers! Super hydrating.

I’m also shade 1 in Hollywood flawless filter and I’ve found the Elf dupe in the lightest shade is slightly more orange and isn’t a good match. It’s not as fair. There shade range is more limited than Charlotte’s

That’s exactly what I noticed with Elf’s foundation, even the fairest is very orangey and too dark- I’m a super fair redhead.

I got the ABH brow freeze and really wanted to love it but it just doesn’t work for me 😭 I’ll stick to my regular gel since laminated brows aren’t it for me. I really loved the Dior blush in that coral shade, beautiful for summertime. 🥰

The Kosas concealer was my favourite in 2020 and 2021 but I’m pretty sure they’ve done something to the formula… when I went to replace my empty one again, the new one applied super patchy, clinging to areas as if I have dry patches that aren’t there, and it pills with most of my skincare products even though that wasn’t the case before. I was hoping it was just a dud so I got another and it was just as bad. Really sad because whatever they’ve done to it is awful now. 😪

Instead of the Anastasia brow freeze there is a dupe from elf for $6. Most of these products I feel were trending awhile ago. I’m always behind so I’m surprised to see they’re still trending.

Tiktok may be good for showing textures and colors in different lighting, almost a la asmr (if ever you like doing that). I don’t use the app for so many reasons. But, just maybe, I would consider joining if you’re there haha 😂. Crossing fingers you would still have youtube-blog as your main publishing platforms. ❤ Go wherever your creativity can fully bloom!

Kosas revealer concealer has been known to go bad really fast because it doesn't have preservatives. I had to repurchase it three times in the last year and a half, but not because I emptied it, it just smelled bad. I had to look for an alternative, still can't quite find the same kind

Matilda, do you think you could make a video on your favorite drugstore products? I noticed that you mostly only talk about high end / luxury / designer makeup and I understand that's your niche, but I would love too see more affordable recommendations from you!
Thank you for asking so politely! ☺️ You're quite right, I'm drawn to luxury and indie brands so sadly I don't explore drugstore products very often. We don't have the same variety and range in Australian drugstores compared to the US which doesn't help either! I do have a very old Drugstore Favourites video on my channel but I hope I can update it in future after my next visit to the US x

Most of my tiktok finds have been drugstore! The Catrice Glam and doll mascara is a great drugstore tubing mascara. The essence brighten up powder and the kosas cloud set are other two products that I got bc of tiktok and I really like them (but I must say that the kosas cloud set does not perform well on my under eyes). I have more products that i got bc of tiktok but that comment would be way too long😹💕✨

The Kosas concealer did NOT work on me, it kind of pills up on my under eyes and that’s not because it’s expired, I got a fresh one recently and already had one about two years ago that did the same thing. Do any of you have application tips?
Wow, the comment before yours was also about the concealer formula pilling Hannah! Mine didn't do that but the other person said the new formula(?) seems to. I know I used to prefer to apply a small amount on my fingertip and dab/blend from there, rather than applying too much from the doefoot 👍 x

I've been looking for the Dior Lip Oil for ages now and it's sold out in 2 countries because of Tiktok and how popular it is on social media
I think it's sold out in a lot more than 2 countries Sherina! 😅 I tried to get friends in the US and UK to look for the Mahogany shade recently but it's nowhere to be found, and it never even launched in Australia because stock was too low I think! x

I love the non milky ones best! They are so wonderful and definitely have that lip oil feeling. I love the clear, berry, red, and orange ones.
I've tried to download a TikTok account a few times but I always end up deleting it a few days later. I just don't think the videos are as well thought out and everything seems a little half-baked. This could be because a lot of the DIYs I tried from there didn't work either. Too bad really, but sadly Tik Tok feels like the "fast fashion" of the content world. 😅

You have to sharpen CT lipliners so often... will make you run through them quickly. Not really getting your moneys worth then.
I let mine get very soft/rounded and it still works well! Just sharpened it for the video. But I don't use it to overline or tightly line my lips, so I can see why you'd need them to be sharper for that ✏️ x
I live in Greece and I cannot find the coral dior blush to save my life. Been looking for it for months and it's always sold out 😭

Can you do a video on makeup that you just don't like? Whether it be TikTok recommendations that didn't live up to the hype, or bestsellers that you were super excited for but didn't perform the way you'd thought they would
'Fails' content isn't my style unfortunately - those videos have always felt a bit uncomfortable to me if you see someone trashing or misunderstanding your favourite product. Just because something doesn't work for me or my style, doesn't mean it isn't a perfect fit for another person! ☺️👍 But I do sometimes mention if a bestseller in a particular category didn't do much for me, like the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask for example! x

Beauty like a TikTok
I so wanted to like Espressoh but was greatly disappointed :( i had ordered a lipstick with them, the order took forever to arrive (over a month in EU) and worst of all, the lipstick smelled so horrible it made me gag :(((. it went straight to the bin, couldn't even try it on. Maybe its my own personal smell preference, or a defective product, but it was a bit no thank you from me..
The coffee scent is definitely strongest in the lipsticks! I'm not a coffee person but luckily the scent doesn't last on the lips so I can handle it 😄☕️ My favourite Espressoh products are actually their clear brow gel and 4-pan eyeshadow palette though! x
just for the principle I won't use tiktok. the social media takes so much of my time time anyways, I don't have space in my life for another time-sucking app. I'm happy you'll be staying here 💞

I feel like I'm the only one who disliked the CT pillow talk lipstick lol it made me look washed out like a corpse. I like the flawless filter but it emphasizes my fine lines and pores

RUclips is *such* a wonderful resource and community (incredibly appreciative of my viewers!) but it can be a danger to my productivity if I don't limit myself when watching 😅 There's too much engaging content here! Oh no! Do you mean their Brow Gel tube or Brow Freeze pot in this video? I've had both formulas for over a year and haven't had any issues! But putting the Brow Freeze cap back on very tightly is particularly important to keep the formula fresh 👍 x
