So happy to hear that, thank you! 😄 My last couple of work trips have only been for 4-5 days so I've just packed my nail polish colour and top coat to do any tiny touch ups if needed, but luckily my manicure held up the whole time! I'll need to make a plan on how to pack a mini mani kit for longer trips though x

I’m so obsessed with the RMS cream blushes. Spell has hit the point of being part of my morning skincare routine- I use it even when I’m not wearing any other makeup and I can throw it on my lids if I set it with a little powder.

My go-to shadows are Bobbi Brown shadow stick in Golden Pink and Laura Mercier shadow stick in Amethyst, and both just happen to come in mini sizes. I also really like the Milk Makeup lip and cheek sticks - I just ordered a whole set of minis.
Since I discovered the Nudestix blushes thanks to your videos they became my solid staples. Add a medium coverage concealer, a clear brow gel, a compact setting powder to set both my undereyes and face and a tinted lip balm, and I’m totally set for travel

I love this video! It is so calming. My essentials are: 1. bronzing gel (it makes my sking radiant and fresh), 2. khol eyeliner (I like them soft and smudgy), 3. mascara, and 4. a hydrating lipstick (or a lip pencil if I want a matte look, and I just a pencil in that case, in the color similar to my lips, to make them fuller).
How do I pack my make up when I go away?? After much analysis of your videos such as this one..... the timing of this one is absolutely perfect!

A lush 5 product face there! As im on the oily side I tend to go for a powder foundation as a one and done base step but pretty similar other than that

I just came back yesterday from Amsterdam. Inspired by the fabulous minimal look of the dutch, i wore very little. My makeup bag had Dior Backstage powder plus backstage retractable fluffy brush ( this powder works like a skin tint over moisturizer even on my dryish skin), chanel le correcteur de chanel concealer for extra coverage if needed , Dior powder blush ( i know shoking! My lates crush is rose montaigne, an everyday pink). One mascara ( chanel revolution) and because i am an addict 4 lip options : dior lip glow balm ( in the lovey rust red of dior 8, chanel rouge coco baume sheer pink in 922 passion pink, and an old mac red lip pencil i could use to deepen both colors and create a darker stain .

I am more of a powder person but also like lightweight packaging, so I depot all my favourite powders and make my own pallet. All I will take with me is the pallet, one blush brush, two duo-ended eye brushes and a face powder puff.

Omg I LOVE THIS, I have a similar tiny full of stick products and just use concealer and blend out for full face coverage omg. I tend to bring like 6 lip products with me though because I love them LOL
So many great products I have been buying minis instead of larger products since most products expire in one year or less. Plus less room to store or for travel.
Good thinking Trish! I personally don't follow expiry dates so I usually prefer the value of full sized products, but many categories with hard-to-finish formulas (like cream blush, bronzer or mascara) work so well as a mini anyway 😄👍 x
I love the minimal/travel makeup products...especially as a chronic over packer of makeup and clothes (and shoes) lol.
Minimal shoe packing is a very different story Elizabeth 😂 I just did a couple of trips wearing the same pair of white sneakers, but as soon as I need more options in winter, my bag isn't happy haha x

My favourite makeup is by Senegence, who make their entire range to be budge-proof, waterproof and kiss-proof. I can’t say enough good things about them!! You can literally go swimming with a full face of makeup on and it doesn’t come off 😂 No need for setting spray or powder! So despite that their products are all liquid (dry down to stay put)… they come in tiny packaging so are fine for travelling. Every product they make can be used all over the face (including lips and eyes), so everything is by definition, multipurpose!
In an extreme minimalist kit I’d choose:
1. A colour-correcting tinted moisturiser (starts with light coverage, can build up to medium… doubles as SPF)
2. A highlight (I also use it for the base colour for eyelids)
3. A dark eyebrow-like colour (eyeliner, mascara… and if wanting a more evening look, crease colour when well-blended). For those who do brows it can be used for that, and if applied very lightly, can also be used as contour.
4. A couple of shades of lip colours that are different from each other (lipsense application is in three layers, followed by a gloss to prevent the lips from drying out… so by mixing or layering colours and which layer you apply each, you can get 8 different lip colours from just two shades, not including tinted glosses changing the colour again!)… both of which can be used as blush
5. A couple of different tinted lip glosses (on their own for a more sheer look, or over the lip stains… and which also work as balm due to the shea butter and oils in the formula).
So I think that’s 7 products for multiple looks, all in teeny skinny tubes that are small and weigh nothing! Of course they do have to go into the liquids bag. All products can be mixed together as well as layered, so you could mix your own custom colour with any two or more products - like highlighter plus lip stain to make a more dewy cheek colour. Or highlighter and the dark brown to make a champagne-beige eyeshadow. Or highlighter and lip stain to make a coloured eyeshadow. Or add a dab of highlighter on top of the lip stain before the gloss, to make a metallic finish lip! The possibilities are endless 😂
For a much wider range of options, another lip stain or two, and another tinted lip gloss can make a vast array of lip (and cheek!) combinations. And a secondary shadowsense colour gives a range more options for the eyes. That would be about 10 products, unless opting for dedicated eyeliner and mascara, which makes about 12! All of which, aside from the CCTM bottle, fit into the grip of one hand! 🤗

I tend to pack mini versions and stick versions. Same with skincare, I have mini creams and facewashes and serums.

I'm a "bring the whole bathroom cabinet" with the caveat that I'm already pretty minimal about makeup, and generally only own one product in each category at a time (like one blush, one eyebrow product, etc) with the exception of lipsticks and perfumes,...I usually have like 6 of each lol. I try to narrow it down to 2 perfumes and 2-3 lipsticks but don't always manage haha

I know Clinique makes a shade thats similar and I think it is called Black Honey or something similar.
Loved this! Totally try to keep my travel packing light but I always end up wanting an eyeshadow palette as my oily lids tend to just eat cream shadows 🤦♀️.
Quads and single shadows are the best imo, I put two or three in my bag and I’m all set!

Matilda, have you ever had any difficulty with the Merit foundation stick breaking? Maybe it's just me, but I've always had trouble with stick like products breaking off at the base.
Another idea: full review of Joan’s road :) the entire internet fussed over the foundation but it feels like no one talked about any other preducts

I’d love some lip sunscreen product reviews. I have three right now and they’re all meh. I just let them soak in and layer another color ontop.
That's my approach with most lip products with SPF too! I'll layer them underneath, or wear them alone if I'm outside for longer periods (plus a hat and seeking shade where possible!). The loveliest lip sunscreen textures and shades I've tried are Ultra Violette's tinted balm tubes 😍 x

Hi Mate! 👋. I’m going to Las Vegas next month for my friend’s 50th birthday celebration weekend. My family & I are driving to Vegas, but I’m trying not to bring any palettes whatsoever. Not even Hourglass Ambient palette with the snake on the cover. I’m thinking about 3 Tarte double ended pencils (shadow on one side/liner on the other side). Plus I have 3 small Laura Mercier shadow sticks. I’m still thinking about make-up for the trip.
Hey, weird question, but do you look at expiration dates for makeup? I will literally only throw away a product if it is performing differently or smells off. I know you've had the Cle de Peau concealer for as long as I can remember, but what is your criteria for deciding if a product is expired or not?
Don't worry, I'm exactly the same as you! I don't pay any attention to expiry dates, I just try to focus on cleanliness and checking if a product still smells / looks / performs the same ☺️👍 x

I usually skip brushes for travel! I might bring a shadow brush at most if I'm packing a single powder shadow 👀 The Rephr brushes I use came in a travel set a couple of years ago with shorter handles, but I don't know if that's available anymore x
I have the charlotte tilbury mascara but it always transfers and I end up with mascara on my brow bone😭 it makes my lashes look beautiful so I'm heartbroken
Oh no Rosa! I do notice a tiny bit of transfer with it too after a long day or night, but I love the formula so much, I put up with that 😅 x

I tend to bring a lot of full-suze products. I have to, otherwise I end up buying a looot of make-up at the airport or at my destination. That way I am like:"see ...you have sooo much make-up!!! Just look at your case!!! You certainly don't need more.". Yep.

I completely understand, but sadly I don't have plans to change up my filming format at this stage - it's what I've become known for and I still love working in this style. You can usually find other great RUclips creators who've demonstrated the same product in a more traditional tutorial if anything in particular catches your eye! ☺️👍 x
I tend to buy travel size makeup for the holidays and pack light. Also I don’t bring my favourite/expensive products just in case it get lost or stolen.
