Just so people aren’t disappointed, I feel the need to share this truth. Requesting a particular room at Disney is simply a request. The only thing Disney can guarantee is change. 9 times out of 10 the room, villa, cabin, campsite will already be assigned to someone, especially during peak times. Once you have your room reservation, call the resort, someone from guest services will answer and let them know you want to request a certain room, wing, or floor. They will ask you for your reservation number and put that request on your reservation for the room assignment cast member to check. They will always do their very best to accommodate your request, but they cannot give you what’s not available or already occupied. Even though this pandemic has taken my Disney job from me, I will always be a Cast Member in my heart. Thank you Tim and Jenn for being so supportive to the travel industry.

He is still fighting really hard and he will make it to Christmas...but the past few rounds of chemo have almost killed him. It is so sad...they are my age and I just couldn’t imagine. My heart breaks for them
I'm with Jenn on the doors! I know when I stay with friends in hotels it gets a little awkward with the thinner doors, especially when you have to use the bathroom at night.
We stayed there last month!! My husband’s uncle booked the room with his DVC points but wasn’t going to use it, so he gave it to us!! We stayed 2 nights bay view and two nights theme park view in a 1 bedroom villa!! It was amazing!
One thing that always puts me off with the contemporary is the concrete jungle below. I wish they had laid things out differently, with more green space between the park and the resort.
I was thrilled to have stayed at Bay Lake Towers because my daughter is a DVC member. The unit we had was the same floor plan but with an added bedroom/bathroom to accommodate our family. It was a spectacular vacation. One of my best Disney visits! Highly recommended!
Previous cast member here: the fireworks were always set up near the cast member parking lot that way when guests are looking at the castle the fireworks are projected, what looks like, right behind the castle!
Probably my favorite view of ANY hotel there. And one advantage of staying at Bay Lake Tower over the Contemporary is your view now includes the Contemporary. :-)
thru the early mid 80's till early 90's , spent every Thanksgiving to early Dec at Contemporary.... very grateful , very blessed , very very worth every penny..... so much fun and the things to do was unreal...covid time can't diminish its amazing place in time at WDW

Registered pyrotechnics need to do a certain amount of fireworks every year to maintain their license. It probably hit the end of the year and they realized their people were under what they needed.
I’m sure whatever hours were needed for certification were floated or extended for another year because of COVID. I’ve seen this in many areas this year.
I grew up in Southern California, one town away from Anaheim where Disneyland is. We used to be able to see the fireworks from our back yard at 9:30 every night.
We had a similar theme park view room during the out most recent trip back in November. We saw the firework display late night of the 21st into the 22nd. Thank you for telling us it was for a wedding, we were wondering.

My Disney loving mother found at at 50 (5 years ago) that she had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I would love a shout out to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation to help with donations towards cancer research. Thank you both again fir being awesome and I love watching Jackson grow! Our son is about 5 months older and your videos are even more relatable than before now that we have kids!! ❤️
@@Stark_117 um yeah I think some other resorts have more of a Disney theme, but you can’t beat the view and lights of the magic kingdom park!! My kids loved it, we were there for 2 weeks and it was nice just to walk right to park.
We have stayed at both the main building and the BL tower. We had many years of the Magic Kingdom view. It was also so amazing. As the new tower was built we stood there but stay on the Bay Lake side. The view of Bay Lake is beautiful. For the BL tower we always requested the Marina side so we could see the main building and also, off in the distance: Animal Kingdom, Holly wood Studios, and Epcot. So even though we didnt have a view of MK fireworks from our room, we could see them for AK and HS. Times were wonderful back then.
My mom and I are staying at pop century right now and we looked around Epcot everywhere for y’all yesterday! We have always wanted to meet you, been watching your vids since Tim had a handlebar mustache! Love y’all keep doing what you do!
We love Bay Lake. Love going to MK everyday because it's just a quick walk. This video made us miss "home" so much. We even stayed on the 8th floor last time.
