I used to be in the British Army and I used a Stereophonics song as a back drop to a patrol in West Belfast briefing pack, where we might get into a scrap...... We did, and I, along with others remember "A thousand trees", when we were being petrol bombed. Thankfully, we all survived without injury. Thx Kelly and Stuart RIP.
I remember my first ever gig, ‘James’ in Manchester, the phonics we’re supporting. We were downstairs and I heard them start playing ‘local boy in the photograph’ I wanted to go upstairs and a friend said “it’s not cool to watch the support”! I’m so glad I didn’t listen to him, I ran out, saw the Welsh flag, I’m half Welsh. To this day, those same lads are gutted they didn’t follow me.
