this video is the reason why I started parkour. I have been training for 2 years now and I couldn't be happier.i had concerns but I never realized how much criticism. I think if there's one thing all freerunners can relate to is that it's hard to live in a world full of conformists. parkour and freerunning has truly changed me.im not afraid of getting hurt because I now understand my body and it's limits. if anything,I'm only afraid of getting injured because that means I won't be able t of train. what do I get out of parkour though? I don't believe I can fly anymore, I know I can.
I've gotten 3 top comments on here already! Anyway, this documentary has gotten me fully into Parkour and Freerunning, and I've already learned many advance tricks. I've literally shared this at least 5 times, and this deserves to be shown to everyone who wants to get started. You guys deserve millions of views for quality like this!
This comment is not only a time capsule, but you sir are going to go to break many records as well as throw the words first screwdriver kong gainer full. My friend. You’re going to not only be a legend in the community but going to be one of the best in the world
That documentary has taken the art of Parkour and has dispersed it on to the world sharing its beauty and elegance. The artists in the film captivate you in their passion and welcome you into their minds and souls. Honestly the best documentary I have ever seen.
I remember my brother telling me he was gonna be in this documentary when I was younger, I never imagined it would grow to have the impact it has had today. I still show this video to people regularly, it is such a masterpiece I wish films like this were still being made. Hope the rest of the crew is doing well!
This film has helped me get over some bad times and also helped my brother. He was about to commit suicide and I talked to him. Shared this and he looked me in the eye and said "Thank you. I Love You. Now let's go run free. Before it's too late."
+Cedric Dahl this is a very powerful film. Thank you guys so much for it. You truly have helped many people in a way that nothing else could. I would like to eventually meet you guys and run together.
He's doing better but still has slight depression, we're working the best we can with him to try and overcome that. Depression is a very serious thing and we just want everyone else to help others where it's concerned.
Thank you for creating a documentary about parkour. I feel like most people don't understand what I do as a traceur. They see it as disrespectful or reckless, when really it is quite the opposite. It's a culmination of both the mind and the body at work and an expression of creativity and skill. It's an art that should be appreciated, and this video is helping people to do just that.
been 10 years, I would watch this when I was younger and it motivated me to get into freerunning. can do all sorts of tricks now because of this documentary
I love the general movement of parkour because the more you accomplish the better you feel and you overcome fears and you make your mobility better overall
I've been wanting to do parkour for about a year, but that one thing thats keeping me from doing it is fear.. Fear that I'll hurt myself in the process, fear that I'll be shamed by the crowd if i make a simple mistake, fear that I'll never get good at it.But now,im getting rid of it after watching this video.I'll practice even if takes time or even my reputation on the line.I'll make sure im good at it or I'll never be successful in anything..
Neeranjan Max there is NOTHING you cant do. im just a beginner in parkour and iv learned that the secret is progression if you try something your not ready for, you might hurt yourself. but, you'll know when your ready. you cant be a beginner if you dont begin- Jesse laflair.(i suggest that you watch Jesse's getting started vid.) i suport you max. you can do it. just commit and you'll succeed follow your dream dont let it slip away!
Neeranjan Max I stopped caring about what people thought about me out of anger that people live an insane boring life. So I said piss off to them and just ran. I fell, got tired, but then got back up and still kept on going. It's funny because this saying helps put exactly what I'm trying to say into full perspective: "If you want a thing bad enough to go out and fight for it, to work day and night for it, to give up your time, your peace and your sleep for it, if all that you dream and scheme is about it, and life seems useless and worthless without it, and if you gladly sweat for it and fret for it and plan for it, and lose all your terror of the opposition for it, and if you simply go after that thing that you want, with all of your capacity, strength and sagacity, faith, hope and confidence, and stern pertinacity, if neither cold poverty, famish, or gout, sickness or pain of body and brain, can keep you away from the thing that you want, if dogged and grim you beseech and beset it, with the help of God you will get it!" - Les Brown
Two of my favorite things... the art of motion and the burn. Thank you I needed this on a rainy ass portland day. It is in the moment that we become free, pushing your metal and physical self to overcome is a path to freedom. This is part of a full life, My wife loves dance and zumba, she moves everyday, my daughter is following in her foot steps. I just move, from martial arts to parkour I have never let go of the child's heart that comes in physical play, my son is following in my foot steps.
This video has probably changed me as a person and I'm pretty sure it'll have saved me from the downward spiral that I was in. Thank you to everyone who was apart of this film. Simply beautiful.
Can't even count how many times I've watched this. Everytime it feels just as inspirational and moving as the time before. Amazing. Great work to everyone involved in the film!
I actually began to cry at the end of the documentary, and I dont normally watch stuff like this for joy, but this is offically the greatest documentary that has EVER been created, and I thank all of you who made this, and I thank the world for being here and letting us move in ways we could only imagine. Thankyou all.
@@inspiredeye I want everyone to see the joys of parkour and motion, like the way this opened my eyes. I want to share this with EVERYONE! Thanks dude, keep on flipping and living, for all of us, and for the parkour people of the world!
Every time I feel sad or unsettled I find a quiet place and just start watching this. It inspires me and makes me feel at peace. Then I go and start practising my parkour moves and just feel like I'm in my own little work. Thank you so much for filming this. I've been watching it weekly since February and it has changed my life and me as a human being.
Holy shit it's been 3 years since I've watched this. I'm back to say thank you, Cedric Dahl, for having made this film. Without it, I wouldn't know what I would be doing with myself to this day. I already knew what parkour/freerunning was before I saw this film, but it was this film that pushed me to start on a surprisingly cold December morning in SoCal. You (Cedric Dahl) have helped me change my life from a chubby and depressed person into a happy and young practitioner that I am now. If you want, you can watch me progress on Instagram. My username is ironically natecantflip.
It is a complete crime that this does't have more views or recognition, it is truly incredible well done. Hands down one of my favorite documentaries ever. Fantastic job.
this movie is awesome its made me much better at parkour and its inspired me to try things i have never done before so thank you so much. for me you have kept parkour alive
I have watched this film so many times and it still has not bored me. Parkour has now changed what I am and helped me with so many things, this has been the best parkour video ever. I wish i could meet you guys in person.
a little time ago I just stopped doing parkour, I don't even remember why, and then I watched this documentary and I realized that parkour it's very important to me, not just the sport itself, but the friendships I made, this little movie make me remember of everything that I forgot by time, and even if you guys don't see what you did not only for me, but for everyone, I say thank you :3
Wow. I remember watching this 6 years ago. 6!! Really inspiring and I was just looking through my old RUclips playlists. Still makes me want to cry. So powerful. Time flies. Hope you guys are going well today.
Doing freerunnning/parkour is like self expression and just seeing the reactions and smiles on peoples faces are enough to make you want to do it more. To all you people who can do parkour, do it for fun, because thats what it is
The most beautiful documental about parkour, I cried while I'm watching... I'm from Buenos Aires! Thank u guys for take the love of parkour that every traceur and traceuses are feeling and put it on a perfect movie!♡ The World need to understand what the parkour is, and this is the most beautifully form of do that! And I dont know, thanks... this mean so much for us, my crew, and my pakour's family♡ Love! PARKOUR FLOW MERLO, BUENOS AIRES!!
This documentary played a big role waking me up and inspiring me to do art of movement & filmmaking. Watching it 9 later brings me back to the beginning and reminds my huge transformation. Magnificent masterpiece ☀️
This opened my eyes, to see this world hiding behind us, not knowing being in the shadows. But no more the world is our playground to create and explore with passion. Thank you for the moving motion.
Thought the video was too long and was only going to watch like ten mins, an hour later im like wtf its already finished? That was an awesome documentary guys not sure if the uploader is the one that made it but that was really inspirational. :)
This is... kind of perfect film about defining what is Parkour. Every virtues about the art of movement are extremely well explained. It's not only a documetary about Parkour, but also a way to re set who we are. I love the way this documentary explains how parkour practicers are feeling and getting free of their movement by practicing Parkour. It explains very well this kind of "missing feeling" of life, wich is being free of our movements. This documentary is absolutely consonant with the way I feel when practicing Parkour. This is really perfect. Thanks for this perfect documentary
This was amazing. I've wanted to learn parkour/free running for quite some time now but never have had chances to. Living in a small town, not knowing how to get involved with any parkour communities in my area (if any exist), or even how to go about safely learning. This film makes me want to actually take this into my own hands and learn this sport. I just don't know where to start.
Check out Jesse leflaire, he has a lot of tutorials. He's helped me get into parkour a lot and i've learned so much. He's great at teaching and you'll learn alot! You don't need much, just some rocks, maybe some railings, curbs, etc. anywhere can be turned into a parkour arena! especially parks are a great place to do some vaults!
I'm gonna start uploading parkour and freerunning tutorials and how to get started. I'll have my first tutorial uploaded next week. I only have 1 parkour video up right now, but check it out and hit that subscribe button :)
i have watched this video more than ten times and i still start to cry. This video is the mosy amazing thing i have ever watched, and i would watch it a tousand times more. You have done such an amazing Job and i absolutely love the result. this video shaped my life for the better, i can not show how gratefull i am. Truly an Amazing piece of art. to be honest if it wasnt for this video i would probably not be alive today, so thank you again. love from Norway
After years of doing Parkour... I can say this is so pure and the most beautiful video I had seen! This brings back my childhood viewpoint and life to Parkour. WOW!
This movie is so beautiful it actually makes me feel like crying. :') I recently took up Parkour and have just been limiting myself to the gym that I practice and learn Parkour at. I also thought that Parkour is just a sport with really cool tricks and moves that look awesome in public, but now it's just way more than that! It's an art, it's a philosophy, it's a a way of life. Parkour is everywhere, and the main obstacle that I need to confront now is myself. Thank you for making this guys. :)
if you want to start you most have really strong muscle. So training all day, not much maybe 50 chin up to start it. Eat a vegetable after it. And after alot of trainig you are ready to start by yourself. For tips about parkouring visit ronniestreetstunt
One of the most important things is to take it slow in the beginning. Don't try jumps or tricks that you don't think you can do. Build up to the difficult ones and stop the trick immediately if it feels overly uncomfortable. Try and balance strength and technique during your overall training. If possible, find people that will train with you. It makes it a lot more fun. :)
Qajkynne Syr dude just start with the basic take it slow just perfect the basics dont be afraid of falling even though it kinda fun to fall just begin and keep at it you will get fed up at the beginning but keep at it you get better
SlickRick4EVER The difference between Parkour and Freerunning is that Parkour focuses more on the actual efficiency of movement when traversing obstacles where as freerunning is more involved with self expression through tricks and flips. At the very least that's what I was taught by the person who held the training classes I learned from. I hope you're thoroughly humored.
Man Crystalized music while they're explaning every big moves starts small, THen epicness videos pop out and the guy jumping everytime to master the perfect landing in the fence then the chorus comes and the guy master the landing and with whooping acrobatics man that already blew me!
I've Watched this movie countless times and I still do. It's definitely my favorite parkour video. I hope I can get as good as you guys, and share my love for this art with my friends.
My biggest dream/goal in life is to be in the redbull art of motion. I am gonna get there one day. Im 15 at the moment. In 5 years. Keep an eye out for "Zebastian French". You will see me there one day.
Staminajunk3y Flat websters, im working really hard on flow and stuff. Just got rid of my backflip fear. xD I do pretty sick presitions and kong pre's. Next year im going to a circus-highschool for 3 years. That's great to keep me in movement to train up to redbull art of motion. At the very moment all i do in my sparetime is train parkour and freerunning, basically nothing else and at Bromma kfum in Alvik Sweden i work as a parkourcoach. :)
The video wasn't exactly Parkour, there are some good Freerun elements, but also some awesome Parkour ones. I am a Tracer for almost a year now and this documentary inspired me to keep doing Parkour. Thank you for the video, guys.
This sounds more like Parkour was changed by Burning Man. Which is Great! But why stop in 2011? Why didn't they keep going? Set up a Parkour camp and let everyone see it every year?
You guys should submit your film to the Banff Film Festival! The film festival features films that inspire talk about inner peace, and show extreme sports. www.banffcentre.ca/mountainfestival/worldtour/ I would love to see your film there. If you get in please see if you can have your film visit Boone,NC. I love the film I've seen it about 4 times now, keep m up the good work.
After watching this video, I never saw i building the same way again. Before I just looked at them as somewhere to enter and carry about your business. Now I notice all of the places where it would be perfect to climb on top of.
this video inspired me to train, train for what i love doing now, parkour. you told me parkour makes us free. now, i feel free, with my best friend, doing parkour. you guys are awesome!
such an inspirational film. im 13 years old and was looking forward to doing Parkour. I was afraid to do some of the most simplest of things in Parkour, now that I have watched this video i have noticed that life itself is a fear to most but conquering it can be a great thing. Thank you for making this documentery for the people of the world to watch.
Before this, I thought parkour need flips and cool stuff, but now I realize its about becoming one with the environment and expressing yourself. This has changed how I do parkour
Haven't been to this video In a while, It's a real inspiration. Every time parkour gets even a little confusing to me I come and watch this. I think I might download It.
listening to the little speech starting at around 31:30 really is one of the big reasons why parkour/freerunning but maybe even more tricking is so important to me. everyone may be at a different level of skill. but contrary to sports like football or basketball, you don't have to separate them into different teams. everyone is on one level with each other mentally. this is a great movie. absolutely loving it!!!
Excellent travail !!
I've never gave parkour much thought... My brother practiced parkour but got severely damaged in his leg... He was vaulting over a fence and got his leg caught, but because of the momentum, the top of the fence caught his leg and ripped the whole way down... But after watching this. I've appreciated it more and more. To the point were I gave it a go my self... Love all you guys... Thank you :)
i've always felt hindered by my fears and letting them get in the way. seeing this film has inspired me to get out, to have fun, and to be me. to not care what other people think. thank you so much to cedric dahl, paul, lonnie, brian, jake, and david. and all other freerunners around the world. look forward to joining the community.
This really makes me realize why I do parkour and freerunning. Freerunning has changed my life in so many ways :) if you don't already do it, I highly suggest starting out!! You won't regret it
this video is the reason why I started parkour.

NOT a sport an art a lifestyle

This has been one of the best parkour vids i have ever seen! Much love to you guys and the parkour community in which we all thrive.
After years of doing Parkour... I can say this is so pure and the most beautiful video I had seen! This brings back my childhood viewpoint and life to Parkour. WOW!
Oh my god, I keep coming back...
same
Yes it does, thank you.
This was very inspirational, thanks!
39:33 made me so happy🙏🏼
This movie is so beautiful it actually makes me feel like crying. :')
I recently took up Parkour and have just been limiting myself to the gym that I practice and learn Parkour at. :)
Should be everywhere on tv on all posts !!!!!! Best documentary ever !!
Well found my inspiration to do parkour
Really a great documentary
Really amazing video! :) I'm thinking of starting Free Running. I'm 12 and 168cm and 56kg! Any tips will be much appreciated
if you want to start you most have really strong muscle. So training all day, not much maybe 50 chin up to start it. Eat a vegetable after it. And after alot of trainig you are ready to start by yourself. For tips about parkouring visit ronniestreetstunt
You need to train the basics in the beginning very hard
One of the most important things is to take it slow in the beginning. Don't try jumps or tricks that you don't think you can do. Build up to the difficult ones and stop the trick immediately if it feels overly uncomfortable. Try and balance strength and technique during your overall training. If possible, find people that will train with you. It makes it a lot more fun. :)
Qajkynne Syr dude just start with the basic take it slow just perfect the basics dont be afraid of falling even though it kinda fun to fall just begin and keep at it you will get fed up at the beginning but keep at it you get better
Build up to your moves, learn basics first, have fun and work out new ways to use your skills creatively in your environment
12 years ago I watched this 😭 and this is my inspiration video
Then I started parkour & flip
Now I’m here🔥
Thank you ❤
Good for you, mate
This video deserves a lot more views then 529,130! This deserves OVER 9,000,000 VIEWS!!
i love watching the faces of people who are watching them!
Btw best credits ever
Thanks! It was a super fun project for me. ^_^
One misconception: It's all *freerunning*. Nonetheless, great YouMovie!
No...Just..no. It's not. It's both Parkour and Free-running.
Faizan Ahmad Umm.... it is either one or the other. Quit acting pretentious...
SlickRick4EVER It's almost an hour long video, it's both. At times they had freerunning, and at other times they had Parkour.
Faizan Ahmad - Do yourself a favor and define Parkour and Free-running. Humor me...
4:30 reminds me of mirror's edge :D

My biggest dream/goal in life is to be in the redbull art of motion. I am gonna get there one day. Im 15 at the moment. In 5 years. Keep an eye out for "Zebastian French". You will see me there one day.
Alright, I'll keep an eye out lmao. so what can you do now?
Staminajunk3y Flat websters, im working really hard on flow and stuff. Just got rid of my backflip fear. xD I do pretty sick presitions and kong pre's. Next year im going to a circus-highschool for 3 years. That's great to keep me in movement to train up to redbull art of motion. At the very moment all i do in my sparetime is train parkour and freerunning, basically nothing else and at Bromma kfum in Alvik Sweden i work as a parkourcoach. :)
3 years to go!
08:26 Music please
The video wasn't exactly Parkour, there are some good Freerun elements, but also some awesome Parkour ones. I am a Tracer for almost a year now and this documentary inspired me to keep doing Parkour. Thank you for the video, guys.
This will never get old.
All i can say s thank you. I needed the mental boost :-)
this program makes me go out and jump on everything then falls and realize im a fat kid
Ok?
2020
I m back in 2024
I've been doing parkour on and off for about 2 years but lately this video has made me just want to do it all the time. It's so inspiring. I loved it.
This is probably one of the greatest documentary's I've ever seen. I think you should publish this as a real movie.
This sounds more like Parkour was changed by Burning Man. Which is Great!
But why stop in 2011?
Why didn't they keep going?
Set up a Parkour camp and let everyone see it every year?
179 people, haven't found themselves :'(
You guys should submit your film to the Banff Film Festival!
The film festival features films that inspire talk about inner peace, and show extreme sports.

I would love to see your film there. If you get in please see if you can have your film visit Boone,NC. I love the film I've seen it about 4 times now, keep m up the good work.
i love how you begin to inspire the people around you as they watch...
This video truly opened my eyes not only to how amazing the world can be but what difficult things can be achieved in a more easier way.
everywhere i go,i observe places where i can climb.i am always in the mood for parkour.i was born for it
After watching this video, I never saw i building the same way again. Before I just looked at them as somewhere to enter and carry about your business. Now I notice all of the places where it would be perfect to climb on top of.
The best Parkour Documentary in 2013,it's AMAZING!!!
this video inspired me to train, train for what i love doing now, parkour. you told me parkour makes us free. now, i feel free, with my best friend, doing parkour. you guys are awesome!
Freerunning and Parkour means a lot to me!
such an inspirational film. im 13 years old and was looking forward to doing Parkour. I was afraid to do some of the most simplest of things in Parkour, now that I have watched this video i have noticed that life itself is a fear to most but conquering it can be a great thing. Thank you for making this documentery for the people of the world to watch.
I'm glad I watched this. I don't do parkour but I love the art. This video is truly inspiring and amazing.
Literally one of the most inspirational videos I've seen. So refreshing to see like-minded people like me!
You won't regret it
I've watch this about 5 times, and each time I get reminded of how amazing it is. What a masterpiece.
