I have about same size as your first one.
It might bounce out with the one that has holes might be obstruction with hard rain
Travis, there may be something wrong with the video. The cucumber/ pickle segment was on twice and the corn segment repeated as well. Not criticizing, just giving you a heads up 😊
Thanks for the heads up Mary!
Happy Birthday! I hope your having a great day 🎂
Thanks Heather!
Just wanted to make a quick comment on your 56'' tomato cages we received a couple days ago- we are so well pleased with both the quality and size .We wanted to tell you guys that they are the best tomato cages we have ever bought, and to say thank you for a great product.
Glad you enjoy them!
Put your phone on auto rotate, then film with your phone sideways, You will get the full screen effect 😎
We do these mainly for Instagram and just repurpose them for YT. Instagram prefers the tall format, so that's why we shoot them that way.
@@gardeningwithhoss 👍😊
Fermented dills. Not crunchy, but intense flavor!! I used the recipe from the Ball canning guide, and canned them after fermentation.
Ours were quite crunchy! We'll be showing them on this weeks Row by Row show.
What are you feeding your cucumber/pickle plants?
20-20-20 and MicroBoost
How often do you have to spray silks? Is that a weekly job?
Weekly or twice a week, depending on the perceived pressure.
I have three weather stations and the rainfall is different from one to the other
Check out Alton Brown's fermented pickles. Its on youtube too. I've made them for a bunch of years, its the best. Crunchy and fermented and they old pretty good. I was giving them to my clients for a while and they were asking for more, lol.
Will do!
I had one of those big rain gages and it leaked, bet that one does as well.
Happy 35th birthday Travis
Thanks Poppy!
Can I use your neem oil in a fogger. If so so how. Thank you
Never tried it in a fogger.
Travis, Am I confused or did u run the maxpack footage twice?
I think we accidentally did. Oh the hiccups of starting a new video series ...
On my phone your full screen on my TV after having watched two or three episodes this one is just centered rectangle I don’t know why
It's because we shot it in a vertical format for instagram. So it looks normal on the phone, but looks different on a more horizontal screen like on a computer or tv.
Turn your phone to landscape, you'll get a better picture.
We're doing these mostly for Instagram and just repurposing here on YT. Instagram prefers the vertical format, so that's why we shoot them that way.
I don't know if the small screen was intentional but I really think it's taking away from the quality of the video.
These are all shot on a phone, so the aspect ratio is different. We shoot all the others on an actual camera.
Do a little research to determine the answer to this question. HOW MANY GALLONS OF WATER DOES 1 INCH OF RAIN PRODUCE OVER A 1 SQUARE YARD AREA? You will get back different answers depending on what source you ask. Obviously, there cannot be any imprecision in a valid rainfall measurement. In essence, every source should show the exact same answer for how much water is collected in 1 inch of rain falling into a 1 square yard container.
And that is the gist of your rain gauge problem. None of the small rain gauges sold collect a water over a sufficiently large surface area to obtain any sort of accurate measurement. Instead they collect water over a relatively small surface area then funnel that into an even smaller tube.. The tubes are labeled in a manner to show an indication of the rainfall in inches but they are absolutely not calibrated at all.
Because rainfall varies from location to location and is influenced by factors such as the wind preventing straight down rainfall in some cases, the amount collected can vary greatly even in short distances. Also, because people are unable to mentally calculate visual observances of rainfall into a correct measurement without a calibrated gauge, any rain gauge sold can simply show any amount the manufacturer wants it to show without people being able to conclusively prove the amount is wrong. People are perfectly happy to see their gauges show 1/2 inch of rain....or 1 inch....or any other somewhat sensible number without questioning the validity. And even if a person notices two gauges reading differently, they still don't have a way to know if either one is correct.
The bottom line is cheap rain gauges are like snake oil. People are happy to have them and believe they work. That's all a snake oil salesman needs! Buy 10 of them, put them side by side, and see if any of them agree. I'm betting you will get many different answers as to how much rain fell.
Personally, I keep a 5 gallon bucket in my garden and let it collect rain. I can simply insert a yardstick into the bucket and take a reading. Still probably not perfect but I trust it more than I do a rain gauge with a small collection area.
Thanks for the tips
Very frustrating trying to buy any of your implements on your site.
You can see all our wheel hoe attachments here: hosstools.com/product-category/hoss-wheel-hoe-attachments/
If the green button says "add to cart" or "select options," that means it is in stock. If the button says "read more," it is out of stock currently.
Hoss Tools yep, out of stock, that’s the problem. Been trying for a couple weeks now.
To elaborate, it lets me add a seeder and a double wheel hoe to the cart, then go to the cart to checkout and it says not enough inventory to fill this order. Would like both to include the irrigation attachment. Love your part of the country, been to Tifton many times.
The Seeder and Double Wheel Hoe are out of stock. That's why it won't let you purchase them.
