I’ve got it pretty good I get it where I want it but I’ll be darned if I knew it was that easy and that much more accurate! Love fly fishing but you really gotta learn first! Spent my first year without a bite. I was using what looked cool. I’ve written pamphlets on bait fishing. Never used a fly! Now days those suckers have no chance! I make leather lutes I’m trying to get out to be sold too.. God bless be safe out there!

    You're bringing the rod tip too low on the forward stroke. That's why the line is landing first and the fly last. Stop the rod tip at about ten o'clock and the line will straighten in the air, then fall parallel to the surface.

    • @renegadeflyfishing
      @renegadeflyfishing  Год назад +2

      @@terrykrugii5652 Yeah I do a bit of fishing on small streams and when I do I use my 7' 3 Wt fly rod. That helps me from getting tangled as often and the rod is easier to wield in the tight spaces, and I'm usually not casting that far. Another unorthodox trick I've used it to take my leader off and tie on some tippet material directly to the end of my fly line about 3' to 4' with a blood knot. Just be careful not to trim off your fly line. Iv'e found I need to be a little more sneaky when fishing the small creeks because the fish seam to be a little more skittish. Hope that helps! Good luck!
