But, in the vernacular of the Jews, Son of God meant pious/righteous person. Even from the context of the New Testament, we find that was the meaning of Son of God, eg when the 2 Rabbis approached Jesus and said "We are the sons of God", to which, Jesus replied "No, I am the son of God, you are the sons of the Devil". Meaning Jesus was saying he was righteous, whereas, the 2 Rabbis were evil/corrupted. He wasn't actually implying the 2 Rabbis were the literal sons of the Devil.

Even from the context of the New Testament, we find that was the meaning of Son of God, eg when the 2 Rabbis approached Jesus and said "We are the sons of God", to which, Jesus replied "No, I am the son of God, you are the sons of the Devil".
